6.
Yep but still doesn't meet Jenny's requirement, if Steve Lukather doesn't count as a guitarist that recorded bass on one of Michael Jackson's biggest hits I'm not sure what we're after?
That was going to be my next question but you beat me to it. I used to work a lot with professionally trained musicians who were highly proficient (as in 'to a professional standard') on a number of instruments. I consider them great players because of their skill on their various instruments rather than any perceived star quality they might have on any one of them.
 7.

I'm not convinced by any of the comments so far. Maybe Paul McCartney. Otherwise ...... pfffft!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. It might help if we knew why you are asking people to give you their time and attention. Hopefully it isn't one of those 'guitarists can't play bass' things...
 8. Newton Faulkner. IIRC he plays all the instruments on his albums himself. A brilliant all-round musician IMHO.
 9. I would hazard a guess that there's quite a few residents of this parish that would fit the bill...
 10. Pretty old, but hardly used and still in its original box. Something for your other half to do while you're out gigging perhaps...? Some background info for those that can use it: http://machineknitti...i/Brother_KH836 It's free, so no posting. Collect/meet only. I can go around 25 miles from Redditch for a bit of petrol money. FOR INFORMATION ONLY: Due to the events leading up to our house move this item needs to be claimed by Friday 12th May at the very latest. This is to give me time to donate items to a local charity and/or the nearest recycling centre in good time if it comes to it.

 13. I had a Taylor 855 for some years. Expensive but a great instrument. I used it mostly for Blues fingerpicking. Lovely, full sound for strumming too. You can't buy them new anymore but a good used one might be worth a look. If there's a downside it's that it's a physically big instrument that won't suit everybody.
 14.
Contact Grammar School Records in Rye, East Sussex. Google for contact details.
I need to catalogue the records before I do anything else but it's another useful contact, so thank you for the info.
 15.
any 50s rock and roll ..Im interested..
Doubtful, but I'll keep my eyes peeled.
 16.
If there's any Django Reinhardt 78s in there, I'll take them off your hands
It is possible: Mrs. LBM's dad was a fan as I recall.
 17.
Cool, I didn't think you'd want to bring a negative ekenent into a band. Blue
As I've said - three times now - I'd look for the best rhythm guitarist first. If he's a bit of a PITA I'd live with it, but he'd need to be a complete asshole before I'd look further. What I wouldn't do is accept a poor rhythm guitarist just because he's a really nice, positive, helpful guy. I know your opinion, and now you know mine. Is there anything else?
 18.
So your really cool with the best player with ego issues, hard to work with, doesn't show up for rehearsals, critical of other band members abilities, only plays songs the way he wants to and overall brings a destructive element to the band? Blue
No. I said I'd look at proficiency on their instrument first. How you got from that to what you just posted is lost on me I'm afraid.
 19.
...Rick Parfitt...
Ahem...
