4. Markbass traveller 15" cabinet. I have been using this with a Markbass Mini CMD121P and it produces an astonishing sound as im sure anyone familiar with mark bass will confirm. Reason for selling is firstly i need the money and secondly for the gigs im doing (small jazz gigs), i am only needing my small combo amp. 1 year old, great condition except for a little wear on the markbass logo on the front. Please feel free to as questions or come and try if you are in the Lancaster / Morecambe area. Price drop to £250 Thanks for reading
5. Hi Everyone Ive just purchased my first unlined fretless and im loving it and not having tooooo much difficulty with intonation. I have recorded all 12 maj and minor scales on a piano and im playing against that to practice with for now. My question is that Im finding myself looking at the fingerboard constantly to know where i am, now I know I need to use my ear but i think i also need my eyes for this, do i need to practice blindfolded or is what im doing fine for now seeing as ive just started?? Sorry for the ramble! Thanks
6. Thanks Guys much appreciated
7. Hi, Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on Chord Tones vs Scales when improvising? Ive heard that Chord tone approach is how the Jazz greats improvised in the 1940's/50's golden era of Jazz?? Im guessing both are valid and have different pros/cons, just wondered about peoples opinions. If this topic is elsewhere i apologise! Thanks Phil
8. Thanks Andy, appreciate it. oh and bump!!
9.
PM replied to... Forgot to ask...does it have the coil-tap switch for the bridge pick-up and the passive tone control? If it does have the passive control, is that both an active and passive usable knob? Thanks Jamie
Hi Jamie, Yes it does have coil-tap switch for the bridge pickup & passive tone control. The active is engaged from the volume knob being push/pull. Pull for active. Thanks Phil
10.
Hi Phil... This is mightily tempting...i'm well impressed with my fretless Marleaux! Would you be interested in my F Bass Studio 5 at all? Thanks Jamie
PM sent
11. Hi thanks for your reply, Id possibly be interested in trades but would have to be another 5 string. Thanks
12. Hi, Im just putting out a feeler here to see if anyone is interested in this Beautiful German Made Marleaux M-Bass. I dont really need to say how lovely it is as you can hopefully see in the pictures. Its only 2 years old and cost £2500. I swapped the B-String tuner for a Hipshot D-tuner as I strung it EADGC for a while but changed back to regular BEADG. I do have the original schaller tuner but will ship with Hipshot installed. It has active 2band eq but to be honest ive rarely used the active because it sounds so good in passive mode. Also installed is the pickup 'ramp' but thats easily removable but i think it looks cool on! Anyway im looking for £1250 for this bass so please let me know if anyone is interested. Many Thanks Phil

15. Hi, I actually had that very bass in the link built for me (after they had it photo'd!) but had to sell for financial reasons. Was an amazing bass in all departments, but I will say it did lack abit of output for some unknown reason. Would highly reccomend them, even just a visit to the factory is a treat! All the best Phil
16. Would recommend Alex 100%, a pleasure to deal with and a wealth of Knowledge too! Sold me the best Jaydee ive ever come across!
17. Actually from watching an Abraham Laboriel Video about 10 years ago i saw him doing the whole P-I-M-A thing and assumed i should do the same with my thumb anchored on pickup. Also it was the only way i could get any kind of speed. Ive appreciated your reply as i have now found myself flitting between the two so good to hear you do the same!
18. I have a German Made Marleaux M-bass, based on a Fodera I think!
19. Thanks Mark much appreciated I can grasp all of that.
20. Hi Chaps and Chapesses, Just a quick question on right hand picking. Im self taught and have been using free stroke all these years and only just stumbled across rest stroke. In short I cant seem to develop the same speed using rest stroke, so is this a technique used for just solid medium paced lines and free stroke for faster passages or am I barking up the wrong tree?? Many Thanks Phil
21.
Hmm - seeing as the average Stingray goes for about £650 were you thinking of chucking some cash in too ?
Yeah absolutely
