  1. In fairness the SII is vastly inferior in appearance to the SI and that does it no favours at all!
  2. Whatever you do dont use Turnkey!!!
  3. The most sensible thing to do for all concerned is just to carry on as you are now. I think it would be foolish to turn down the job offer, after all your job pays your bills. If it turns out that things don't work with the band then at least you tried, but things may work absolutely fine! Ask them for some understanding and if they value you, they will try and cooperate with you!
  4. And do people treat stainless steel strings differently to nickel? I personally cannot stand the sound of dead strings and like them to sound as new and fresh as possible. The sound of fresh nickel strings being slapped is a joy
  5. Just out of curiosity is anyone on this forum involved in the publication of any bass mags in any sense?
  6. Ged Green? I think that's his name......
  7. Reasonable prices too!!!
  8. Best of luck to ya buddy!
  9. As of yet, I have not caught my hair in anything I wouldn't wish to. And I have since chopped all my hair off in favour of a much more, shall we say, sensible look. I did once get chewing gum in my hair on stage though and had to yank a lump of my hair out......
  10. I actually like that horrid orangey colour!
  11. I reckon the HB stuff is going to get more expensive. They seem to be picking up popularity pretty quick......
  12. We have "remixed" one of our songs which I did post up some stuff about on here. Go to www.myspace.com/presoulnationuk and listen to I Am Spartacus. Feedback appreciated
  13. The Clubhouse Nice pub.
  14. And I might just add that I have played that bass ^^ For the price, very very good. Feels well built, very nice to play and sounds good. Hardware doesn't feel cheap and the neck is fairly comfortable, even for me with small hands
  15. I listen to a fair bit of what I play, but not as much as my band mates and I listen to more of other types of music myself. However I greaty enjoy what I play and I enjoy writing what I play. What kind of cake are we talking about? If it's chocolate brownies then yes, if it's Xmas cake, then that is death.
  16. Tomorrow me, piggy and oli (previous band mates) are auditioning the former vocalist from The Mourning Will Follow so I may have something....
  17. I wouldn't worry, I frequently add comments which have little bearing on anything. I just want to be loved
  18. When I was a nipper I was playing the Oboe in the school orchestra so I am not sure how much relevance that has
  19. There aint many places I hate more on this planet than Stockport There isn't a single road I hate more on this planet than the A6. Bollocks in all directions!
  20. +1 on the bass xciter. The 3500 is a wicked amp for the money. I had one and loved how it sounded. The Hartke cabs are brilliant for the money as well. Try get the ones with the aluminium cones :)
  21. I have always been curious about Overwater stuff. A mate of mine was offered an endorsement with them a while back and I have always liked the look of the Progress. Just never had chance to play one!
  22. That looks fantastic!
  23. Robbies basses always look hella cool. I think it's a great twist on things and definitely stands out from the norm Looking forward to seeing it finished!
  24. Jeez.....theres enough studio scams in the guise of people who you pay a lot of money to, they waffle bulls**t for a week or so, tell you how many mega stars they have worked with, then hand you back a load of bollocks on a CD!
