1. I purchased the Flint from Jonse last month, arrived quickly and in great condition. Happy shopping
2. Pm sent P.s. No need for the pre-amp mod, wouldn't want a Hole In My Life.
3. Now SOLD - Very cool wah pedal that nails funk rhythm and rock sounds. Also doubles up as both a volume pedal and an expression pedal/controller. Has barely been used so in fantastic condition - I purchased this for my mini pedalboard, but am finding I don't use wah enough to justify keeping it on that board, so time for a new home. Am based in South-West London.
4. Hi Jonse - is the Flint still for sale? Cheers
5.
hubbah - I'd love an SRV strat but being unable to play guitar stops me.
would be a great excuse to start learning
6. Hi, For sale is my Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster. As you can see from the photos a beautiful guitar and in great condition. It plays great and really nails that massive tubey strat tone you'd expect from a guitar with Stevie's name on it. Having purchased this amazing guitar from Simon via this forum it just hasn't been getting the use it deserves. Feel free to message me with any questions - also have other photos I'd be happy to send plus larger res versions of these snaps (am a bit of a camera geek - will be getting a new lens once this has sold). P.S. am based in London. 7. Great bit of kit; I got mine from Clarky around 8 months ago and have used it for most double bass and acoustic/classical guitar gigs. Nice guy and straightforward purchase. Good luck with the sale.

Hi! :)

Hi Bill, I'm often casually checking the marketplace and double bass forums whilst on the train/tube. Like you I haven't posted for a while though; been too busy gigging and teaching. Have you got any more bass gigs coming up with Mark Ronson? I've got a guitar audition coming up myself this week with a big label artist, so am putting the hours in. Would be good to have a jam some time when I'm next in Somerset; I'll show you mine if you show me yours (as in your electric bass licks in exchange for some double bass/guitar chops - don't get too excited!) - Peace and love, James

Hi! :)

Hi Bill, Welcome to the forum. James P.S. awful playing. Just... give up...
10. I'm going to have a few hours free tomorrow and was wondering if anyone can recommend a music shop in the London area with a massive choice of effects pedals. I'm avoiding the standard boss pedals and am after something esoteric, but not too synthy or harsh. It's mainly for some guitar overdubs I'm doing during a recording session this week. I'd ideally like create some ambient, effected delays that don't sound dated, so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great! Thanks, James
11. Hi basschatter's, I don't usually post in this section of the forum, but am doing quite a big gig in today in Trafalgar Square. It's an all day event celebrating Dutch culture, and my band (Eleanor Seabird and the Spectacles) are doing a 45minute set of original and covers (including some No Doubt, Golden Earing and Police). Am looking forward to it as there will be 50,000+ people there and the organisers are really on it (huge stage and they basically asked us what amps we'd like them to provide). Wether any you can make our slot or not, it's going to be a great day celebrating windmills, Heinekan and clogs, so you should have a good time! Here's a link for the music... http://eleanorseabird.com/
12. Great instrument and +1 for mandolin cafe being a great site and resource for tabs, especially for Irish tunes. I've done some mandolin transcriptions of a lot of tracks including Rory Gallagher and REM etc; even arranged some Rodrigo Y Gabriella for mandolin. Let me know if you need any music or listening recommendations and I might be able to help..,
13. Great amp this - used to have the TSL which had the same clean and lead channels - this is the definitive Marshall sound as far as I'm concerned and one of the best lead sounds available. I believe Jeff Beck uses the DSL. Also check out this month's 'Guitar Buyer' magazine if you like the Iron Maiden sound - they've done a feature on Adrian Smith and identified the DSL as the driving force behind his rig... Have a bump on me
14. Great - glad to see this has finally found a good home
15. Is this still for sale?
16. Just purchased this from Clarky. Nice guy (not that anyone on here doesn't already know that)... Am looking forward to gigging it with upright bass, classical guitar and acoustics
17. Nice rack. I bet you're replacing it with a Mark King signature tuner!
18. Email sent... www.james-bennett.com
19. I've just got an email from the UK distributor informing me that this head is now officially on the market and the first shipment has just arrived. So... has any one tried one yet? If not then I'd be interested in your thoughts as soon as you have. I love my M300 head and briefcase - both are fantastic products for upright and electric alike (if not too clean for some people's liking). So, naturally a higher powered, lighter PJB head is pushing my intrigue button...
20. Great gig! I didn't miss the cookie monster vocals either. Shame they didn't play Harvest or The Drapery Falls, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I also got to see them at the Royal Albert Hall, so at least got to hear those tracks at that one. I think I prefer the direction they're going with the new album and the new keyboardist was fantastic and was really on it with the harmonies. To be honest I mainly went to see Pain Of Salvation who were pretty damn good considering they were shafted by the sound engineer (like all support bands). They also gelled very well considering they had a new rhythm section and only played two songs that weren't from the new Road Salt albums (not their best material by a long shot, but an interesting development for them). Either way, the Opeth fans hated them. I saw POS in Camden a few years back (just after they recorded BE) so got to hear all the Remedy Lane and Perfect Element tracks. I'd definately recommend checking them out on a headlining tour if you haven't already. Opeth 'fans' - if all you go to an Opeth gig to do is heckle 'play some death metal' then you should probably spend the money on a Cannibal Corpse ticket next time...
