  1. Its a great amp, unfortunately its a bit heavy for me these days
  2. probably the first time i have ever pipped anyone
  3. According to the manual and my rather dodgy memory the metros internal speakers total 8 ohms from the Metro manual IMPORTANT NOTE: The impedance of the internal speakers is 8 Ohms. Remember to factor this in when determining total impedance with additional cabinets. If you metro has 2 off 8 ohm speakers in parallel giving a total impedance of 4 ohms it might suggest a special or the speakers have been replaced.
  4. I was quite impressed, the only thing the wont do is a generic fender headstock, but I guess it wont be that difficult from a paddle headstock.
  5. https://www.guitarbuild.co.uk/ Link
  6. What about these guys?
  7. My favourite is the original 1 3/4 [44mm] precision neck. I have a G&l sb2 which has a Jazz neck, and I wrote to G&L to see if I could get a different neck. Waiting reply. I think for me, because I got my original precision [a 1 3/4] in 69 or 70 and played nothing else till the 90s it always seems familiar and safe.
  8. Great, thanks for sharing
  9. Try these guys. They recovered my bassman and did a really great job. They could build you one http://www.zillacabs.com/
  10. Ive never used them but they used to be fitted as standard to the Lakland Daryl Jones models.
  11. Mine is a 2010 C64 and the volume knobs work pretty much all the way round.
  12. When I had my much missed acoustic 450, my band mates used to complain I was far too loud, and I used to say its only on number 2, but it didnt get any louder if you turned it up past 2.
  13. NR played at the pyramid centre in Portsmouth some years ago, and I think it was organised by by Nevada the local music store. He played guitar with a local drummer, and if my rotten memory serves me right, Eddie Alan who used to write for guitarist and worked for fender, and possibly Roger Newell on bass. My mate and I went, but didnt stay long, they reminded me of an average local pub band, not someone who had played at that level.
  14. Oops, forgot the link http://www.wembleyloudspeaker.com/
  15. These guys can do a great job in repairing it. Ask them for a price and then you will know if its worth doing.
  16. Theres an Arbiter Ric copy in Guitar Villages, and its on their web site. Nice condition for its age, but a bit heavy.
  17. At last, something we can agree on
  18. im bored goodnight
  19. only between 1 and 8 when I am asleep
  20. we could start talking about the validity of Relics in general now, or how about tribute bands, can I pass myself off as Paul Mcartney.
  21. This appears to be the advert the op bought. Theres no mention of Fender anywhere, it just says 1960 replica jazz. sold Limelight 1960 stack knob jazz bas Burgundy Mist bought a fe months here but unfortunetaly i need money so no trades Spec 1960 replica Jazz Stack knobs Clay dots Hand rolled finger board Aged nitro finish on the neck Reverse tuners Aged finish in nitro reliced Tarnished metal work (but not rusty) Stack knobs Very great sound Nice relic color Burgundy Mist with headstock shipped with gigbag 730£ 800€
  22. Yes because you commission a limelight, not a fender, The spec is agreed and priced accordingly. Its the buyers responsible for choosing whether or not to have a decal, I
  23. I believe Mark uses generic fender parts ie allparts etc, I dont think they are fender parts. When I originally sold it, I advertised it as a limelight 62 stack knob jazz bass. No mention of Fender A real 62 stacknob would sell for considerably more than the £750 i sold it for.
