I am the same, they made me one cover which fitted well, but as you say are a bit basic, kept the raln off
the last ones, 1 acoustic 370 amp, 3 PJB covers, came from these chappies

Despatched within 24 hours, all made as custom jobs, ie not madethese particular cabs/amps before, 3 perfect, one not quite right, [my naff dimensions] turned round modified the same week.

The DXLT 410 is still listed on the eden website dated 2014 so it appears to be a current model so spares should be available, I know marshall bought them out but you could always ping them an e mail and ask them. FWIW I had an Eden metro, and then a 400 traveller with a 2x10 and a 15, very nice. I can echo JTUKs post, it was top line stuff at the time.

We used to take a plaster of paris chicken that we would award at the end of the night to the one who had made the most mistakes or one spectacular one.

Back on topic, the guitarist I play with has a fullerton strat that he bought new in new york however many years ago it was. Its been played to death and the finish underneath the fiesta red is black. Presumably in the 70s or 80s they were still overspraying finished bodies or guitars to satisfy dealer orders

I dont remember anyone giving a toss in those days, we were just gratefull if we could actually afford to buy one, regardless of condition. I think this has come about in recent years when a nitro finish was claimed to be a better finish/more tone, make you attractive to women

When the dudepit was up and running I remember a comment that went something like 90% of the bass for less than half the money and I think that fair. Korean Laklands are sent to lakland USA where they are finished off including plek. The finish on the korean is very good but theUSA is terrific. The difference between Korean and USA is more about finishing touches, like on my Joe, it has birdseye maplle dots and graphite reinforcement on the neck, the tuners are different on the skyline and the woods are different. I beleive the pickups are the same, so I dont agree that there is huge difference apart from price.

I suspect, by the time you add on the UK distributor profit, vat and import duty, they come out rather expensive.
I have had a 5502 brillint bass but one string too many, a 4402, wish I had kept it, and korean jo osbourne.
I still have, a USA model jo osbourne, which I adore, its the only jazz bass I have ever kept, A metallic green Bob Glaub although it only has a model number now, and a Jerry Scheff
They have all been consitantly good, unlike fenders where some are good, and some not so good.
I have bought every single lakland direct from the USA because they were not available here or were expensive. The exchange rate isnt as good now but I would be quite happy to buy from a USA shop and even with duty and VAT you will probably save some money.
Add 25% of the price quoted in the USA and you wont be far off,

Im glad Im not the only boy with toys

I get the this sometimes, usually towards the end of a gig, and often when I am plucking qute hard. Usually goes away after 30 seconds to a minute. However I have recently developed a tingling or pins and needles in my small finger although I dont use that small finger. The doctor has said the nerve to that finger could be trapped, there is apparently a different nerve to the first three fingers.
One of the things I am trying to do is not to pluck so hard, and let the amplifier do a bit more work.
