1.
Try stacking them so they are tallest config, probably means your combo is on it's side. Also, check the cabs are in phase using the 9v battery test.
Good advice there. Can you give a bit more nfo is this in band situation gig or rehearsal, whats the line up Often you find other instruments, guitar and keyboards take your sonic space, just leaving a blur. I saw recently a guy with a mark bass rig, 4x10 and 1x15 and he wast clear at all adding mids will help, Theres some quite good info here http://barefacedbass.com/technical-information.htm
2. They are beautifull basses, and the fireglow looks stunning, unfortunately, I just cant get on with em. Had two and sold em both. Good luck with the arm
3. Heres a composite Jack 12 on the BFM site, lovely bit of work http://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopi...84&start=60
4. I took a job with a country band in the 70s. I dont like country music but it taught me loads, and I made some good friends. Sometimes we dont give other types of music a fair hearing, and most things will stretch you as a musician if its new to you
5. And replied
6. 6 of the ones I have now were bought unseen, ! from Japan, 1 from Ebay, 2 from the usa, and 2 from Basschat. I have also bought a bunch more from the states that have gone to pastures new. I wouldnt do it so readily now unless it was from a known or reputable source, there are too many fakes around. Out of that lot, I had one which was in poor condition and I told the seller it was not as described and we compromised on the price. I was still a happy bunny
7. Im not sure how wide the ABM head is but this is 18 inches wide
8. Ashdown mini 15, 300 watt Absolutely immaculate. I could almost sell this as a new one, there are no scuffs or tears, there is a bit of black paint missing from the handles, and some of the bottom corners are tarnished, but other than that, it looks almost like new. I bought this to go with a mini 4x8 but rarely used it, so its been sat in the house most of the time. This is the later version with the oval handles, looking for £160 delivery to be arranged . It probably could be shipped weighs around 40 lbs, so its pretty light.
9. Im not sure if I will regret this, Eden Traveller WT 400 Made in Usa Eden used to say this was the best amp they ever made, and it sure does sound sweet. Weighs in at 13lbs, and comes in a bag you can carry over your shoulder. I have used it with various Eden Ashdown and Acoustic cabs, and it has never failed to deliver a great sound, and is only warm at the end of the evening. Its as near as damn it totally silent, so its great in the recording studio, and with the parametric equaliser gives a range of great sounds, although I generally use it more or less flat. Its in extremely good nick, no scratches etc, and has never missed a beat. I put in a new mesa boogie pre amp valve last year. £450 and we will can come to an arrangement about delivery, I have a PJB 8b on the way and I am considering an M300 to go with it so unless anyone wants to do a deal on one of those, Im not really up for trades

11.
They have BassLines written on them The original thread's corrected to say they're the SDs and not Bartos.
Sorry didnt really look, they normally had soapbars
12.
You do all realise that the "Cover band" in the original post is the incredibly famous and well respected guitarist Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr Big) and his band?
Oh well , whoever it is its good
13. They are Bartolini Soapbars

16. A small torch, makes it so much easier to check for problems at the back in dim lighting
17. Hi and welcome If you gain half as much from Basschat as I have it will be well worth it
18. I was fortunate enough to play with a great drummer on and off since 1970, we were able to lock in together beautifully. He has retired to spain and we now have a different drummer, who has a different syle, which has enabled me to play in a different way. The new drummer does tend to put in more fills, and sometimes I have to hold back the tempo a bit. I also work with a third drummer, who again allows me to play the same song in different ways. A great drummer is sadly underated, and there are loads of drummers, but not so many good onesi
19.
I found this on youtube, thanks to whoever filmed it! What a fun song to play! Thats great the boy done good
20.
TBH, I don't think many of my bands audience give a toss about their own hearing, never mind mine! I get stick from my bandmates about wearing earplugs at rehearsals, but would wear them at gigs too if I thought I'd get away with it.
Cant you hide them under your wig?
21. I bought a classic 50s P on here a while ago, it is reasonably light but I have had no issues with neck dive at all. I have CIJ 50s reissue and thats virtualy the same weight. I think the mex 50s are really good basses and Im well pleased with mine.
22. Thats Great Showed it to my Mrs with a suggestion that she may like to do one for my 65th didnt go down well
23. I used to do Portsmouth harbour cruises many years ago with a guy that played a Hammond. Their boats electricity supply was erratic, and linked to something that had a big current draw. Everytime whatever it was clicked in, the Hammond used to wail up and down like Keith Emerson, and then stabilise a semitone lower. and a couple of miniutes later, it would happen again, and the organ would revert to normal pitch. Made singing interesting, although we bought an electric piano in the end
