I have just placed an enquiry with hot covers so another potential sale lost
-
Or perhaps there is a moulding tolerance. I expect there is more than one cavity in the mould
IIRC everytime I changed a PG I have had to ease them, particulalrly the ali anodised jobbies -
it's just : if you are a vintage lover you DON'T do this on a real Fender P-bass 1977.
The problem is that if you go back in time a tatty original bass was not valued. My 64 was refinished in 68, before I got it, and it improved it [using the attitude at the time, ]its since been refinished a couple of times.
Knowing what I know now, or even what I knew 20 years ago I wouldnt have done it. I expect the bloke who had this bass didnt appreciate at the time its effect on its re sale.
I would buy it without a propblem and either strip it back to natural, of have a decent refinish done. -
I am very tempted to build a Bill Fitmaurice jack 12 or Jack 2x12.
I have had the plans for a while but its cold in my garage -
I tried to put all gold hardware on my Tokai, but TBH I think it looked tacky, I ended up restoring all the chrome parts.
Some gold looks good, some looks cheap and brassy. -
I have a number of different p bass pickups, all with slight variation, measured across they are
Wizard Thumper 28.15
Mexico 50s reissue 27.86
Lollar 27.87
Lindy Fralin 28.19
so it does look as if the thumper is a bit bigger -
Dave Gilmour or Steve Lukather

if you look at the headstock, one side is paralell to the neck and the others angled so it looks as if someone has taken a 4 in line head stock and converted it.
The body is a bit thin for a production guitar.
Pray its not really a burns its awfull -
If Nevada have one I might just go and have a look tomorrow
Gilles, when this arrives you can buy my M-300 (if you still want it)
Is this the same man as was selling his PJB a week ago? -
I have a conventional US Jo and the quality is superb.
I have not seen a custom like this before but it looks a stunner.
Good luck with the sale. -
That's the only thing it's missing, wheels. But to be honest, if there's two of you, it's very easy to move about.
Thats a shame
The cabs with back wheels are so easy to move oh well -
I have man boobs
-
Does it have tilt back wheels at the back?
-
Just practice exercises and using one, then two, then three fingers at different speeds and timing
etc

Being Left handed and playing right handed i don't have a huge amount of speed in my right hand, so if its fast i use a pick
Im the same, my right hand is very weak, mate of mine can play faster with 1 finger than I can with three, -
That looks absolutly stunning
