^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ what 'e said bump.
4. Fabulous. I'm sure there will be a queue for this one
5. Lakland Skylines were once flavour of the month, not so much now. Good quality basses, the Bob Glaub based on his 64 with wide nut, but relatively shallow front to back. Called something like the 44-64 or something these days
6. If it's the one I think it is, like most AV's you can not tell when made, by the serial number. It's neck off time. And if it is that one, it's 2007. Now bearing in mind a Dave Wilson re-fin and a Lindy Fralin, this is an excellent price for a fabulously sorted AV57RI. Good luck Marcus, beautiful bass.
7. Yup, Barefaced is sounding quite nice tonight
8. No dude, it's a 410 mile round trip or it would have been long gone
9.
Oh... Nice Lakky Karl, I wondered where that lovely Bob Glaub went! :-)
10. A lowly Lakland Skyline (Korea) Bob Glaub, 2008, with matching headstock. 12.
Don't worry, Karl. I'm not allowed to mention my new cab on the forum as I will be accused of fanboi-ism. 13. Lovely bass and lovely job! Awful lot of work went into this, reading the build thread. Good luck, it's stunning.
14.
I have a GK MB500 Fusion and a Tecamp Black Jag 500. I presume that the Black Jag is basically a Puma with some whistles and bells added. I don't really use any of the whistles and bells (like bass or treble boost or compression) and have the eq pretty much flat all the time. The Tecamp is my 'go to' amp for gigging and to my mind it always delivers. I like straightforward punchy and clear sound with anything extra coming from pedals. The one thing the Fusion has is 2 switchable channels with their own gain which I like. It's a good sounding amp but I find the Tecamp more balanced and it seems to sit better in the mix somehow.
Pwhoarrrr Black Jag
15. I've not looked, but I think it will probably be no4, which is on Facebook at something daft like £1900. Quite a few internet comments around that there were quality issues with these basses. Last one I saw actually sell went for £900 couple of years back. Look great, but potential buyers really need to do their research on this one. EDIT, I've just looked, it was the same one and he's bloody sold it Good luck to the buyer if he doesn't get on with it
16.
Indeed! Lol
Beware!!!! , he's in Mackemland
17. Have a look in the sub forum entitled double bass and EUB. Do a search there. Quite a few topics on what you are looking for. You don't say where you are from, but it looks like new TecAmp ar only available from the US now, which is going to make them pricey for Europe. Thomas Eich, who was TecAmp, has set a new business up called EICH Amplification. The new EICH'S look very similar in features to PUMA, just a new fascia. And a little more expensive. Good luck.
18. Have a word with TwinCam (think he's Darlington). Great price.
19.
Um... I do have another rig in the offing actually. But that would be thread derailment, wouldn't it?
If you get Gary Mac's Schro because it's not a 410 mile round trip for you, one will be displeased.
20. How is this still here? These amps sound great, go on, treat yourself
21. Had a couple of recent deals with Jonny. He really is just such a great bloke. Absolute pleasure to deal with, every time. Fully recommended by Chewbacca's stunt double! All the best Jonny and enjoy Until the next time
