1. Oliie just bought a bass from me. Gotta say absolute pleasure from first contact to him getting the bass. Decisive, great comms, did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. Fully recommended by Hermann Munster's stunt double (me ). Cheers Ollie, enjoy the bass, Karl.
 2. Yes I can Mr Robinson. And at a piss taking £80 from Markbass
 3.
Think you`re right there, I`m one of them and have had soooo many basses/amps/cabs (inc Barefaced) over the years - since joining Basschat I might add. Up until then I was pretty much the same, one bass/amp/cab and happy with them. Since joining Basschat I`ve essentially seen buying/selling gear as part of the hobby of playing bass, as I`ve been able to research so much great gear. I`m pretty much sorted now, my gear is exactly right for what I`m doing at present, though have to say if I were doing gigs where I wasn`t always going through FOH I`d probably have one of the Barefaced Retro 610s as my gigging cab.
Me three
 4.
That TB thread was pretty interesting reading...
Wasn't it just I'm just a dim plank spanker, but I gigged a BF Supertwelve for 18 months. Sold it cos it "farted out" (despite eq shenanigans) in A COUPLE of venues. Over the 18 months since I sold it, I've tried Bergs, MB, TKS, Vanderkley and probably a couple of others. Back to a (used) BF S12V which so far has shown no signs of anything but great, clear and loud performance. Daft loud with the TTE. Don't think I'm a fanboi, and regardless of this is better spec bunfight, this combination is a great compromise for ME
 5. SOLD, as per title thanks. Photos finally. Weight is a quite light 8lb 6oz. 6. The little rig below (crap photo alert) is pretty much happiness for me. This week . Loud? Pardon . Heft? I believe so. 7.
:-|
Que?
They work really well. I have used them for years.
Think I might be soon , many thanks.
I now know why I always prefer maple over rosewood, it's hard to see anything in a candlelit carol service with only a small light to see your music by. I can see the neck out of the corner of my eye tho'. Not like you to sell a bass though......
Oh har de bleedin' ha
In The Force you must trust, young Jedi, and block inlays / Lumilay dots you will need not. PM incoming
YOUNG Thanks folks, think I've caught up with all the pm's. Loads of fabulous trade offers. Going to try to do some photos later today, didn't think this through very well
 8.
I can relate to this Karl. I use these or Luminlay on all my basses. Really great and a cheap fix. http://www.ebay.co.u...twAAOSwAKxWaFE2 10mm might be a bit large but you can get smaller ones either from eBay in the States or Rothko and Frost do them and the little UV charging torches. Sorry to highjack your sale thread but thought it was worth the heads-up.
Thanks Stuart, that's a great idea, will have a look at that. That could be a bit of a revelation, cos all the cool jazzes come with rosewood boards . Thanks again. I KNEW I wasn't the only one with this "passing of time" issue
 9.
A prize is deserved for the best reason for sale ever. Didn't I have a word with you about venturing up the dusty end? Good luck with your sale Karl.
Now that photo I got the barracking for young Gary, look closer and you will see, 1) peering intently at board, 2) it's maple
Great bass Karl, fully appreciate why you`re selling - it`s the reason I defected to maple boards, so I could see what I was paying under bright stage lights.
THANK YOU LOZZ!!!!!! Strangely, it's a conversation I've had with a few of the "more mature" gigging gents on here. Particularly in the last few months. Last night was the 1st gig in 3 years that I've not used the green one in at least one set. I gigged this all night, those pups sound great and the neck is wonderful. Actually, as I was typing the ad, I thought of perhaps seeing if Creative Cuts could sort me some bright, blocky inlays. Ho hum
 10. Selling because I can't see the dusty end in stage lighting. Not gonna wear glasses on stage and contacts scare the Hell out of me . Call it vanity if you must Will put a link to spec, will be the Black one rather than Natural, only difference is colour of scratchplate. Limited photos at the moment, need to take them when the wife's not here, cos she's doing her nut about me constantly swapping The main photo is a "stock" one, in the short term, I hope my feedback will give confidence when I say this bass is immaculate. Tweed style case + pup cover, lead inc. £1000 couriered UK (they were around £1600 selling price new, there is a Jazz version on here currently at £1125). £950 collected from Wigan. Will meet no charge 50 mile radius of Wigan. Cash/cleared cheque/bank transfer Any trial in Wigan. TRADES. Happy to look at sensibly valued trades/part trades but please, 4 string, fretted, MAPLE boards or PEARL BLOCK inlays, something I can see under stage lighting OK, spec link http://www.andertons...fingerboard.asp Feedback at bottom of post. Photos (more in next couple of days), including a stock photo + couple of crap camera jobs from last nights gig. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 11. Cheers Andy, 13 trade offers and 4 wanting to buy. My one brain cell is in trouble This particular model rarely hangs around long though.
 12. Cheers Dunc, it is indeed a fine bass. Far from cosmetically perfect but a damn good versatile gig machine. I'm hoping to give the saddles a WD40 bath this weekend, and put the string spacing so they are over the poles. There are 3 (between here and FB) close to pulling the cash trigger, but I can't get it sent out today. Not sending it out tomorrow as it would be in a couriers warehouse over the weekend. So all 3 know it's Mon for Tues. All further PM's have been replied to, thanks for looking, Karl. EDIT. Thankfully now on hold, my poor one typing finger's getting tired
 13. Many thanks Gareth and Ollie, appreciated . All PM's now replied (phew, smokin' keyboard). Between here and FB I've had 7 offers of trades since this went up. Sorry folks but this one has got to be a sale I'm afraid. Thanks for looking and all the offers, cheers, Karl.
 14. Only selling as have managed to end up with 3 P/J's Model no 013-5702- 306 Short lived Mex P/J (1999/2002) built between California Series and Mex Deluxe Active. This is not a Mex standard, more one of the top of the range Mex's at the time. This is a passive bass with a P body, Jazz neck and P/J pups. Think this is the 3rd to come up in the last 15 months, although last one was in January. Precision body, jazz neck, (1.5" nut) P/J pups, gold coloured anodised plate, 20 med jumbo frets, std AlNiCo pups, Vol/Vol/Tone, US electronic components, American Vintage P Bass bridge. 8.5lbs. Issues, some headstock chips, bit of thumb wear on plate, some "certain light " scratches on the back, couple of hard to photo dinks, some rusty screws and the saddles, whilst fully adjustable, have a bit of rust on them. This bass is in good condition for a 14 year old bass that has been gigged, all dinks, rusty bits etc are above. ANY BIG paintwork issue you think you can see are none existent, it's my photography I'm afraid. Recent set up with new Status Premium roundwounds. Tremendously well made Mex bass with a good rep. Lots of reviews online, an example thread follows where they have a mention (some not quite positive, but ther ya go). fender mex P/J sunburst - Basschat Feedback at bottom of thread. £450 insured courier UK mainland, in tatty hardcase. £420 in functional hardcase collected from Wigan Any trial in Wigan welcome. Sorry about the photos. Thanks for looking, Karl. 15. As alluded to by the guys above, no such thing as the same bass. Same model, yes, same bass, no. That's why a lot of folk ask for the weight of a bass for sale. Especially us older gits who've had basses on our shoulders for 40 or more years
 16. @ lojo "Agreeing to gigs, or not is always a choice up front" Not if 3 out of 4 members do it then present as a fait acomplis. Leave the band you say? I did.
 17. Love these. I'll pay for my fuel in a couple of weeks then. Fully understand it, but as ever, it sh*t's on the bands
 18. Steve, does it come with the original gig bag? For God's sake, somebody buy this, it's only 4 miles from me and it's killing me
 19. Allright you comedians, no, I haven't bought it. Yet Nowt will happen re courier until Tuesday. Doing all that IBAN stuff, well that usually takes 3 days for payment to clear to Europe and that's without 2 bank holidays chucked into the mix. So I'm guessing it would be cleared prob Wed/Thurs of coming week. I keep hoping to see it sold so I don't have to arse about with all that. Now THAT'S lazy
 20. Yeah, the 75 RI is interesting with people putting them out £1100/£1250, even if some of those are the recent FSR which was presumably released to get rid of the last 75 RI's, after the 74's had been released. Statistically on here, the 75's go for £800/£900, as in actually SELL at those prices. A natural on FEEBay last week didn't get a bid at it's £850 start price. So he's relisted it at £1000 BIN A lovely natural with Rosewood 'board has been up at £950 since late last year. It's on here at £850 and still hasn't sold. One thing I have noticed in general is that sellers from the EU seem to ask a bit more for their basses than similar basses have gone for. But as we all know anybody can ask what they like.
 21. Enjoy Kev and have a great couple of days
