1. There is also another thread touching on this in "Gear" Bass Guitars
2. You might want to read the following thread, and in particular some of the links on it http://basschat.co.u...ingray-colours/ Seems for example, the Stingray 5 (new) only comes in half a dozen colours. Not sure if unlined Stealth Fretless is still available. Todays page on the EB website http://www.music-man...sses/stingray-5 Perhaps the low prices 'Rays are currently going for (vs actual new price) may become a thing of the past if you can only get a few colours. Who knows EDIT Stealth Black $200 option still available, as is Pau Ferro lined/unlined fretless
3.
To put this in perspective, these are probably around £1700 + now to order in the UK. I have a similar spec with maple fretboard and it is a beautiful instrument. Honeyburst is now discontinued - not sure why but I think it was another colour that was a little more expensive. HH + tort guard makes it an expensive spec - good luck with the sale!
Looking at another thread, it looks like EB have discontinued all except 6 colours in the Stingray 5 range. So, if this finish is your bag, looks like you won't be able to get a new one. So, buy it now peeps ESPECIALLY at this price!
4. Looks like TecAmp gear is now gone from Europe can't find any PUMA's for sale anywhere. EICH looks great but understandably seem to be a bit higher in price. Dread to think what the TecAmp US stuff will cost by it gets here.
5. Always a pleasure to read Douglas's posts. Wonderful humour and straight as a dye. This was replicated in a very super intercontinental deal, with the added bonus of decisiveness. Absolute pleasure, easy deal, fair few giggles, it doesn't get any better. Thanks for everything Douglas, enjoy and please keep us laughing. Fully recommended folks.
6.
Must resist.........!
No you mustn't. Buy it and I'll collect and deliver it to you . No charge for delivery.
7. Lovely bass again Tom, good luck fella. Surprised it's still here tbh.
8. Splendid bass. Splendid bloke. Excellent price Good luck Ash
9. What an absolute steal!!!! Those Kappalites have a great rep. And they look even better with that vintage cloth! Surprised these have been up for this long
10. Further pm's replied thanks. One more week I think, before putting the other one up.
11. Hmm, I got two of those PJB C4 light cabs just before Christmas, both 4 x 5, 400w. Sounded beautiful tone wise. First bit of bass gear I can ever remember returning to the retailer. Nowhere near loud enough for the band I play in. Very disappointing.
12. I've done some to Europe. I stipulate to them, 1. They need to pay me by bank transfer. They need to know sometimes this will take 3 days to clear. 2. After funds have cleared, THEY need to organise and pay for INSURED courier, simply telling me what day the courier will collect. In the rare event something goes wrong with a courier, well, if worst comes to worst in UK, I can get in the car, drive to the firms HO and eyeball the gaffer. I can not do that in Europe. I stipulate the above for fairness to both parties. It has cost me sales, but it's the only way I will do it after a couple of expensive and worrying nightmares. NEVER PAINPal!
13. I know nowt about these things, I've been dumped with flogging it for my mother in law. It's pretty much unused. If collected from Wigan, you get the stool chucked in free. I will courier UK for £20 if I have to, but the stool won't be included as she burnt that box! Blurb from a shop is pasted below, they seem to be £329 new pretty much everywhere. 14.
I agree Karl, but I find myself being a bit more picky these days - was a time I absolutely had to have any bass which I thought would be good for me. Through tons of trial and error I've come to the conclusion that I prefer maple fingerboards, with a definite lean towards Fenders and Fenderlikes. I'll leave that one to someone who'll make proper use of it.......
Snap
15. On hold for Dad until tomorrow night when we will have established postal viabilty. Thanks folks, will update when I can, cheers, Karl. SORRY, JUST AN UPDATE, there are 3 folk in the queue now, just so any other interested parties know. Ta
16. I bought this about a month ago. I gigged it 3 times. I never moved more than 5 feet from my amp (except soundchecking). SO, it's frankly wasted on me (unless I suddenly join a functions band or something). It is a fabulous, tiny piece of kit. Plenty here http://basschat.co.u...-guitar-system/ They are £150 new. This one includes a top quality, 1 foot long, receiver to amp cable, custom made for me by the legendary OBBM of this parish. £100 collected from Wigan £110 posted in UK. As I said, top class piece of kit, sadly wasted on me, cheers, Karl. 17. Is this a special edition made in the US for the Japanese market? Has the neck been re finished? Sorry, I only ask as I've never noticed one without the "made in San Luis Obispo California USA" on the back of the headstock
18. Great basses these, IMO. Quite light, good bridge, slightly slimmer P nut width, pup can be aggressive if pushed. Shouldn't have sold mine, somebody's gonna be happy soon. GLWTS
19. I have had three offers of basses for these cabs, one was very close but unfortunately 5 string. Was still tempted though. Does a 5th string make a good thumb rest Although the specs are linked in post #1............. One cab has a 12" speaker, plus a 6" mid range speaker, plus a tweeter. One cab has a 12" speaker, plus a 6" mid range speaker and NO tweeter Both cabs have thick TKS covers. As requested I have looked at courier. Due to weight, dimensions and relatively high value, EACH cab would cost just under £40 UK insured courier delivery (still £20 less than Barefaced charge for delivery on a Super Twin). As stated I'm prepared to do a decent bit of driving at no cost to buyer. Cheers, Karl.
20. He's not been on since Feb 1st. Might be an idea to pm him, although it's possible he's been, he's sold, he's gone.
21.
Ooof that's a bit nice. Very 'Betsy'!
If you are interested, don't hesitate, that's a bargain price for a profit making retailer and I would almost guarantee Mark won't have it in the shop for long
