1. Sorry Ian senior moment, I meant GuitarAngel https://www.facebook.com/guitarangelcouk-159543554149879/?fref=ts
2.
This'll be a beaut once stripped of that paint job I'm sure! Fantastic bass for Fender US Standard money though.
It certainly is. Think I'm going to put my Road Worn up in the next couple of days. If that goes 1st, this may well go to AngelGuitars for a strip and light Burgundy Mist.
What would you say is the difference between the neck on this and a 62RI?
Really sorry, I can't answer that. Perhaps if you PM KiOgon (John) he will be able to tell you. He has one of each and is a certified genius with a fabulous reputation around these parts. Doubt he will mind, and he will tell you warts and all. Cheers, Karl.
3.
GASing something chronic for a seafoam/surf green Fender P. there was a MIJ seafoam green precision on here about a year and a half ago being sold by someone in Glasgow (i think) that i often kick myself for not snaffling. only a tort pickguard away from being the one. Either that or a YOB JV P bass... 1982 incidentally, if anyone's got one doing nowt.
What, a bit like this?
4. PM's replied, many thanks, although I must admit, only a couple. This is an American Vintage 57Reissue Precision, just to make that clear. Yes, even at this price I'm thinking very strongly of putting up my last remaining Mex Road Worn Precision as I really need to sell at least one bass. I thought this would have gone in a couple of hours at this bargainacious price (even with the "issues"). 5 feet from it, it just looks like a vintage P
5. Nothing to say really. Some slight tarnishing. £45 collected from Wigan, £50 posted UK. Sorry, no PAINPAL. Payment either by bank transfer or cleared cheque, feedback at bottom of post. Cheers, Karl.
6. I bought this 2007, AV57RI Precision quite cheaply at £730. They usually seemed to go (used) for around £1000+ before they were replaced by the current AV 58 RI. ISSUES! Original raised A pole pick up replaced with non solder EMG Geezer Butler pup BADLY!!!! refinished in black nitro. The plan was; A. Sell pup for £40 (about £90 new) get original spec from states($86 +shipping etc). B. Get it stripped, re fin in light Burgundy Mist, for my dream bass. Gigged it 1st set last night, although the neck is shallow front to back, it's still 1.75 nut width and I just did not enjoy it. Now, the finish. It's poor. It was originally blonde, resprayed black, awful, myriads of tiny scratches. HE WAS going to T CUT then lacquer but didn't get round to it. Hence the bargain price of £700 collected Wigan, £730 couriered UK. That includes the bashed and scruffy G&G case, the original gold anodised scratchplate and a new set of Sadowski flatwounds. Daft light at 8lb 1oz. Possible trades something like an immaculate Barefaced Supertwin. Please read feedback at bottom of post. Sorry about the photos and the order they are in, having a bit of a day! Cheers, Karl. 7. Fabulous amp at an almost give away price Can't believe the gear you can get for such relatively low prices at the moment. GLWTS Geoff.
8. Further pm's replied. Sorry, not really willing to ship these to Europe (Milan quote was £86). Trades preferred would be either smaller light 112's without tweeters or 212 smaller without tweeters (eg TKS 212 or Barefaced S12V), with cash added Cheers, Karl.
9. Been gigging mine pretty much every week since March 2014. Spectacularly good bass (there has been quite a few much more expensive ones disposed of since getting mine). Great find Flex. They look even better with a brown tort or mirror plate, imo. There was still one in Richtone (Sheffield) a couple of weeks back, at just over £600. BARGAIN!
10. 1st post states only non original part is plate.
11. Absolute steal for a bass of this quality GLWTS Steve, 'av a bump.
12. PM's replied, many thanks guys. Trades were tempting, especially the Fodera (damn it being a 5 ).
13. Really amazed this lovely bass is still here
14. Currently on offer at Bass Direct http://www.bassdirec...lification.html I'm happy to meet up at no extra cost, between say Penrith/Brum/Leeds Going by the consecutive serial numbers, I guess they are both 2015. They are supposedly only 1kg lighter than my Bergs were, but do feel very light for what they are. They have a slight odour due to the enviromentally friendly glue Marc uses on his cabs. He told me this wears off in time and it is certainly less noticeable than when I got them. Reason for sale is that I'm probably jacking gigging in the new year, so I'm looking for a smaller single box 212 without tweeter. Please check my feedback at bottom of post. Cheers, Karl. 15. Loving David Konig's headless Faker prog-tastic mates
16. Funny the effect of decent photos eh
17. Loving these in principle. Would they provide enough in a two guitards plus mic'd up drummer in classic rock covers band?
18. Sorry, no more ideas I'm afraid, good luck.
19. Try the Rick**fakers Facebook page, there's a couple on there have bought from REG. Tell Jason Karl sent you, no secret handshakes required
20. Ask Tim himself, he can only say no. Very happy with mine
21. REG (Rare Electric Guitars) are one of the vendors on there and they appear to have a decent rep from what I've seen BUT I'm not in a position to recommend them. However, they are a company you might like to research. Good luck, I'd be more tempted to look at that Maruswotsits personally, although obviously more expensive.
22. All interesting stuff. As it happens my Nate went a couple of days back having been up around 10 days. More often than not when I've needed to flog something, it's gone in a couple of days. Interesting about the 50%. I look forward to seeing a year old US Jazz coming up at £550
23. As above ^^^^^^^^^^^ TimAl of this parish, top class work, great service and price. Even etched a little Eye of Horus on one of my plates. http://www.originalscratchplates.com/
24. Lovely Japanese MK11 Good luck with the sale, very nice!
25. When I tried a TH500, I found to get "decent" volume out of it, you needed to use the gain and some drive. This did not give me the kind of sound I like. The PUMA I have, well pretty much all set to flat, TASTE contol used to where I want it. Easily gives me the sound I require. I don't think volume is an issue with either amp, more a matter of what sound you want with that volume. This is just personal experience, not science. As others have said, the way to really open up either amp is simply speakers/4 ohms.
