1. Do you know who the courier/postal service was? Somebody is accountable if there is a tracking number. Was it to be signed for? If so who signed for it? The sender should be bending over backwards to sort this for you, not abdicating responsibility If you have none of those, I would be asking for a refund sharpish.
2. THE one cab to rule them all and in the darkness deafen them Fabulous cab.
3. VERY niiicce Zilla being looked up.
4.
Theres nothing to stop you getting your cabs recovered. Look up Zilla cabs, they have a big range of different coverings and fret cloth. I am equally shallow and I sent them my brand new fender bassman 100t and Cab about 2 weeks after they arrived. They changed the covering from Black to cream and I had fronts made in oxblood and another in wheat. Probably not what you want but thet did a cracking job. and I am really please how they turned out
We demand piccys don't we my precioussss
5. Thanks again chaps. The following custom Schro, the cab and grill is done. I'm just looking at getting the grills done, probably white. 6. Yup, I was talking cobblers, ignore me . I just don't want to be the 1st to try this
7. Thanks chaps, TKS aren't the issue. Basically looking at getting the grills painted. So they aren't black.
8. So I'm fed up of black box cabs! I want bright/purdy/different I keep thinking of going TKS and speccing pretty stuff, coz I'm a shallow magpie gear whore. However, an S212 which is a reasonable price (about £680) is not the option I prefer, as I like 2 x 112's. If I get 2 x TKS 112's in the config I want, it's over £900. Obviously if they don't work out for me, I would take a big hit on new gear . So, I got to thinking (allegedly) . This is all about cosmetics really, so, how about taking the grills off, getting them stripped and powder coated. Or hydro dipped? Anybody done such things, Any photographic evidence? I didn't put this in technical or repairs as I thought it more suited to here. Cheers in hope, Karl.
9. He hasn't been on the site for over a year, so I'm guessing it's gone. You could try PM'ing him

Boy will you regret this Ash. This is a stunning bass with amazingly smooth lows. GLWTS.
11. Thanks guys, I'm thinking the following in S212 configuration, with the PUMA 900 . To be honest, I have had very few poor cabs. It's just with new items, that leap of faith can be very costly. 12. Has anybody actually done a good number of gigs with an S212? I currently use 2 x Berg AE112S. It's a bit pricy to go the 2 x TKS S112's route, so I'm thinking of one S212. Reason? Well, you can get them vintage looking, fawn, oxblood, pale blue. I've had 40 years of black boxes! Yes, I know that statement is pathetic! If the chap with the Barefaced S12 lived 100 miles away rather than 180 I would have offered him a trade and got the black steel front of the B/F powder coated. Anything to break the blackness
13.
Oh good, that means there'll be a 2nd hand one near me for sale in about 6 months!
Oh ha de bleedin' ha Possibly true though Andy
14. Absolute star, great guy to deal with. Thanks for everything Andy, all the best, cheers, Karl.
15.
So, is the new owner a proper Shagster?
He may well be, but he's not the original
16.
how long between seeing this and checking your bank account?
10. 9, 8, 7...................
17. Andy, you have mail. You are the 1st to actually say you would like it at the reduced price of £750 collected/meet, so you have 1st refusal. I've put the price up in public so the 5 interested know I'm not playing one off against the other. Cheers all, Karl.
18.
That's good! Has the '75 not been discontinued now? I thought it was replaced by the AVRI '74?
Quite right! This is, I believe, a FSR. The more cynical might think Fender did a FSR to clear out surplus gear
19. Hmm, this or Italy vs Norway Never tried one, never fancied one. Italy Norway it is then
20. Cash sale still preferable and one of the chaps did ask what the "decent bit cheaper" was. In principle he was happy with the much more bargainacious price for a quick, easy sale. He is busy this week however, so nothing in stone yet. After a few let downs this year (including this bass at the weekend)anybody wanting it on hold I'm afraid you will need to consider a deposit. Was rather taken with the Spector though and we've agreed to chat further on Thursday.
21. A 57 year old bloke. False advertising and all that Now, if it said "The Shagged Out"..........
22. I took a Shuker as part ex against an unmentionable. The Shuker is now up for sale. Great neck, stunning fretboard, sounds superb, little bit heavy at 9lb 10 oz for my aging shoulder. The more I play it, the more I'm tempted to keep it. It has real road worn, as in it looks like it's been dragged the length of the M6, on a tow rope, behind a Tranny. However, it's a great bass which to me would sound fab in the 1 hour sets I do with Troyen. So, I'm thinking remove the decal on the front (just "The Shaggster" bit), ask Jon Shuker to strip/re-fin light Burgundy Mist, with gold anodised plate. The decal has those very faint lines round it, so it seems to be a transfer on top of the lacquer. Any ideas on how to SAFELY remove gratefully accepted, cheers as ever, Karl.
