1. Yessongs without doubt for me, but Snowgoose and Brain Salad Surgery well up there and Heep's Magicians Birthday had it's moments. Also rather liked Allan Parson's Project, Vangelis and Greenslades' Spyglass Guest and Bedside Manners Are Extra, although prog is stretching it a bit on those.
2. Stunning. Did I miss the answer to whether trades would be considered?
3. Musta been going a helluva speed when it hit that wall. Coat got Bump.
4. Bugger, I lusted after this last time it was up. Typically, I could have bought this 2 weeks ago, but I spent all my loot on a rare Rick. GLWTS that really is amazing.
5. Erm, this advert is 2 years old. Not even sure if he was going by this user name, or his original one, at this time.
6. That looks a really nice bass, at a decent price. But £1800 is a lot of money for somebody to find. I am going to link somebody else's advert, to show the sort of pictures that will help you sell your bass. Pots, pick ups, neck end etc. I have nothing to do with the guy in the other advert, just using it to advise you. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/267200-1970-fender-telecaster-bass/ Good luck with your sale, cheers, Karl.
7. There should be some printing on the back of the original pick ups. A photo of that would help I think. Lovely bass.
8. Following is copy/paste from another thread Quote. "After much research, it would appear that the first run of Flashbacks (96/98) only about 60 were made. These had the 2TEC bridge. The second lot, about 150 made between around 98/2000 had the usual 2 piece Warwick bridge."
9. You would be better off sending him a private message. He's not been on the site since Dec 25th 2014.
10. I've been trying to get one of those for ages! Stunning, well done that man!
11. What a fantastic bass And GREAT photography, all the important provenance bits. This is how all vintage bass ads SHOULD be. Jeez, there's a party in me under crackers GLWTS
12. Hmm, each to his/her own I guess. I've always though of WAL'S as overpriced meh, but many would strongly disagree. Whilst agreeing it is expensive, I have read many a time that Fender Custom Shop MASTERBUILT (rather than team built) carry a large price premium?
13. Yup, looks fabulous doesn't it. Similar to the Status you had Jack? The Antigua on that looks more like the Antigua of my youth, than the 2012 RI looked. If only I had a spare £2.5k lurking. Somebody's gonna get lucky.
14. You may have to scroll down a bit. Not on FEEBay, but a Facebook page. Not mine, don't know the chap. Mods, putting this on here for benefit of our members. If not happy with that, please remove. Good luck anybody looking, cheers, Karl. https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKBassgear/
15.
Thanks Karl If I had seen the bass I'm after a couple days earlier they would have been yours too!! How's the Rick working out for you?
What, you mean this ? Pretty damn good so far, have a bump! 16. Looks like I'm back again I still await a Chris Squire, only been about 5 years in lusting. In the meantime, I've just got mega lucky and managed to get this rather splendid 4001 C64 ri (2005)
17. Perhaps I've missed it but I can see no reference to Martin Petersen or SEI ? I have had 3 SEI's, one made for me (sold when skint, still cry about it now)and 2 used. I have gone down the classic route of simple passive basses now, as after all these years I now know what works for me. However, Martin's SEI's are, IMO, world class. Good luck regardless, Karl.
18. Have a bump Kert. Sorry it was a day too late for me. However, if it hadn't been, I wouldn't have got the 1st bass in my signature Have a bump, really fancied these. Somebody's gonna get lucky!
19.
Might have to give that a go - thanks ! Plan B = I move into the loft with them
Please remember Mark, Wigan is 9 degrees 365 days per annum. Actually, I don't know about your house, but our back bedroom, well the temperature fluctuates there as well, when we are out at work, or overnight in winter.
20. Bought a superb bass off Wayne last night. Superb, easy transaction from a nice, humble and supremely talented guy. Cheers Wayne (liking the cd as well!)
21. Open E. All I'm allowed. Bassist remember!
22. Well Mark, prepare yourself for saddo alert Loft has that thick aluminium foil covered insulation on the floor. Basses in hard cases. Hard cases covered on top and sides with excess loft insulation stuff, ie entombed in it. Always worked for me, I had 7 up there at one stage. Only complaint I've ever had was a bass was ply (I didn't actually know as I'd never taken it apart). Nowt to do with loft storage. Shoes and clothes would be equally safe* * that might be a layman's guess.
23. Many thanks gents, very kind. It is indeed a splendid bass. Not so much need to sell now but I'll leave it up for a while. Tom, the other bass was my last loft unmentionable and it is already on hold, although it never appeared on here. I can actually get in my loft now
