Excellent condition, 3 years old, they would have cost around £1250 new, for the pair, including covers. Only up for sale whilst a pair of TKS are on Facebook. If the TKS go, these will be kept. Unusually for me I'm not in a position to courier these at the moment. I WILL HOWEVER, meet up within 100 miles of Wigan to hand them over. Each cab is; 300 watt 8 ohm tweetered 14kgs with Bergantino covers. ANY marks you can see, it's my crap photography! Any trial in Wigan is very welcome, feedback linked at bottom of post. Many thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. There was a bit of a cock up at Fender and some N9 numbers were actually used in 1990! This isn't one of them. My 1999 has a serial number only a couple of hundred after this one. Mine is also White Blonde, but it is transluscent, with Ash body and maple fretboard. IMO this series is one of Fender's most under rated. I've played quite a few of the 96 onwards series and they have all been very good. GLWTS, somebody's gonna get happy!

Obviously £1200 is what they would put it out for, them being a retailer and needing to make a profit. If they offered you £1200 either cash or trade, it might be wise to rip their arms out of their sockets Would be interesting to know where they did their research, as most of us just have google/basschat/talkbass. Good luck, Karl.

Love my P/J. P pup on full, J pick up around 70% on, all the rest done on the tone control.

Just bought a PUMA 900 from Mark. Delivered the day I asked for it to be delivered, excellent. The amp bag was not delivered. Quick phone call and it was with me well within 24 hours later. I always find the mark of a good operation is how they sort it out when things don't go quite right. SUPERB, thanks Mark. So glad I'm more than 2 hours away or I could be in serious financial trouble

Bollock dropped advice needed on amp/cab mismatch
karlfer replied to karlfer's topic in Amps and Cabs
Warranty you say eh? Just plugged this little lot in, in the back bedroom. Quite scary watching cones move back and forth half an inch. This rig just sounds amazing to be honest. The only issue I had with the TTE was having to do a bit of EQ ing. Plugged this in flat, used both gigging basses, both sound wonderful. I liked the 500, I'm gonna like the 900 Right, I'm off to compose something to go with the lyrics little drummer boy has sent me. I've got until tomorrow night's rehearsal. Oh, except I'm working until 6 tomorrow night. Drummers eh, oh for a vivisectionist. -
Completed another deal with Martyn couple of days back. As ever an absolute delight to deal with. Always a pleasure Martyn and as all say, fully recommended top geezer.

Neil has just bought a bass from me. Absolute top guy, paid faster than a speeding Dyno Rod man, great comms throughout and just made everything so easy. Fully recommended nice guy. Enjoy Neil, all the very best, Karl.
I'm a little nervous about adding my thoughts to this thread ( for fear of confirming my ignorance ) but the cab rating is a thermal rating only. As the AEs are relatively efficient at converting the Puma's output into sound I would be amazed if you ever come close to feeding them with anywhere near 300 watts continuous. You could just as easily damage those cabs with a 500w head cranked too high and a compressionless slap fest!
Trust me Mark, a slap fest WON'T be happening -
Good luck indeed and enjoy it! My wife usually just says "at least it's not another bloody Rickenbacker".
My rig is a Tecamp Puma 900 and brace of Bergantino AE112s. I've used it without problems for quite a few gigs, and one day I may play a venue big enough to need the master volume turned past 10 o'clock. Just thought that some advice based on actual experience might be helpful, though I realise that that doesn't conform to BC standards.
-

Good question Mr Jack. Folk still rave about Trace Elliott watts, with the exception of the V Types, I was never overly enamoured. Perhaps question of technique/style, or lack of in my case. -
Bollock dropped advice needed on amp/cab mismatch

I don't use any pedals or effects. The main band is a rock covers band, we are loud, but not ear bleedingly so. Last night the TTE, gain was around 11.30, master around 9 o'clock and that was more than enough. EQ was bass cut a bit, mid cut a bit treble boosted a bit (all between 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock on the dials). Colour bumped round to about 1 o'clock. Tweeters off on both cabs, I don't use them. With using the PUMA 500 for a long time (for me) it was always TASTE at 1o'clock, bit of cut on bass/low mids, bit of boost on high mids/treble. Gain rarely more than half way round, master usually around 10 o'clock. Lovely, clean, warm, deep sound. I always like to have gear much more powerful than I will need, never driven any amp past half way on master. Thanks again. -

Thank you Mr. discreet. I may only play 4 notes per night but I know how to make them count. How, does one shatter an arse? On second thoughts DO NOT ANSWER THAT -

JapanAxe, thank you but wash your mouth out OBBM and CambdenRob thanks, I'm sure I read Bill Fitzmaurice say similar, so panic (probably) over. Thanks guys inc mr 7755 and Groove -
Decided to go back to the simplicity of the wonderful Tec Amp PUMA. Ordered the 900 watt (4 ohms). Ten minutes later the dawning. My two Berg AE112 cabs are only 300 watt apiece, so obviously 6oo watts in total . Any ideas that don't end in buying more bloody gear? Yours, embarrassed muppet of Wigan.
