1. It's the Warmoth "standard" back shape Sean, Jazz profile. 38 mm/ 1.5 inch GraphTech White TUSQ XL nut, radius is 10". Shaft Birdseye Maple, board Birdseye Maple.
2. My old Limelight is back up for sale. This is all I have to fund it. I'm going to provide a link to Sean's build. I will provide a tatty hardcase. It has a NEW REVERSE HEADSTOCK, JAZZ NUT WIDTH Warmoth neck, satin finish. That cost me nearly £400 on it's own. It weighs 7lb 9 oz, daft light. The TV Jones pup is very powerful. There are a couple of paint chips. I will clean the bass before it goes( I was gigging it last night, see photo). Yes, I did put the false Fender decal on the headstock. IT IS NOT A FENDER. I am into this bass for over a grand however I want £700 cash plus £35 for insured mainland UK delivery. That will buy me my old Limelight back. Feedback at bottom of post. A FENDER Custom Shop Dusty Hill will put you back well over £2k, this is a lot less. Any trial in Wigan, any questions, cheers, Karl. 3. I should never have sold this! Good luck (I think ).
4. Oooh, we likes this don't we my preciousssssss
5. The weight might really help your sale And yes, we are nearly all busy as well.
6. How's Cardinal Fang? Sorry, I've wanted to say that for years (for the old Python fans). Bump for a great looking bass.
7. Thanks Isabass, sadly a bit on the heavy side for an old crock like me. GREAT PRICE IMO, somebody is going to be VERY happy. GLWTS
8. 2 x 10 that weighs only 15kgs. Markbass Traveler 102P neo bass cab. Made in ITALY Excellent condition with Roqsolid cover. 2 x 10 neo speakers, 8 ohm, 400 watts, only 15kgs. Would match very nicely with an Orange Bass Terror set at 8 ohms, getting the full 500 watts. Made of Italian Poplar, supposedly lighter than the new Indonesian models. Speculation, but it is possible that the Italian made ones will become more difficult to get hold of, especially in such good condition. It is also unlikely this will depreciate much further. Prefer collection from Wigan but will courier insured at £25 extra, UK mainland. HAPPY to meet up within Brum, Leeds, Carlisle area, at no extra cost. Any trial in Wigan, feedback link at bottom of post. WILL consider trades for 4 string bass or micro head, I have cash available to put to a deal. Cheers, Karl. 9.
Great price granted but collection only will reduce number of potential buyers. T'other side of t'country that, if it was Burnham on sea I could be persuaded! GLWTS
If I may make so bold, a £25 padded gig bag plus some bubble wrap, a bike box from Halfords. Delivered at £750. That way you would open it up for sale to the 80% or so potential buyers that don't live close enough. For example, I live in Wigan. It would cost me £60 in fuel, plus 8 hours driving. So I'm out. £750 couriered, I might well be in. Just trying to be helpful
10. Dream bass. What is the weight please Isabass, as most of these are heavy.
11. These were a slimmer 40 mm nut width, between standard J and P, have they changed as not many P's have a slimmer nut? The one I had was a damn good bass!
12. Look, I know I'm old and dim but I'm buggered if I can find the photos? Explain it to me
13. I would have preferred to sell them as a pair Dave. The chap who bought one, already has Italian 1 x 12 and 1 x 15. He saw one of these as just giving him a lot more flexibility in his gigs, with being able to mix and match. If the remaining one doesn't go, it's not the end of the world. I may trade it in against another bass eventually EDIT. If you would like this cab and have a nice bass you want say £700 for, I might well be able to do both cab and extra money to you. That's because I'm a magpie gear whore Something like an Inca Silver, white, black, Jazz or Precision.........
14. Decisive, great comms, just simply so easy. Thanks Mark, it was great both doing a deal and meeting up. It could not have been any easier and I piggin' LOVE the cabs. Thanks for everything Mark and enjoy the Bongo. FULLY RECOMMENDED, GOLD PLATED GEEZER
15. Bass Doc does seem to be getting referred to a lot on the Facebook page North East Bass Bin, but that's not much use in Exeter, sorry.
16.
If that's so then I might need to drop you a message.
Should I have said "only known BONGO 4....."
17.
That's incredible how quick that went. Nice one!
There was a queue Perhaps it was because it's the only known Bongo without the headstock chip
18. Thanks Dave, very kind One went last night, just one left now, advert adjusted accordingly. To those who have mentioned Indonesian at £355. These are Italian. Apparently Italian ones will not be made for the foreseeable future. The Italian ones were originally out at about £660 street price. The cover was £40 extra. Already, used Indonesian ones are looking at going around the £225/£250 mark, that's a big % loss if you move on a new one. Just my opinion of course Cheers, Karl.
19. Yes Tim, itch scratched I should have known better! Traded now thanks peeps, thanks for all the interest.
20. These cabs were on hold for a week and a half, for a Facebook buyer. He has failed to show up. TWICE So, bump.
21. Thanks guys, good bit of interest already EDIT. Sorry, this has been on hold since 4.30pm. All pm's replied, thanks for all the interest, cheers, Karl.
