1. I'd love to throw my Limelight into the mix for this stunning bass, but as all of these early 60 RI's, it's got a rosewood board so I wouldn't be solving anything except pure bass lust. Lovely bass, GLWTS, cheers, Karl.

SOLD!

It is a wonderful looking bass and Bravewood do have a terrific reputation. If I may make so bold, despite the prices (both) seeming fair, it is a lot of money. Without the options of part trade, you may well need to wait a few weeks. People will desire it, but many may well need to sell to fund it. If you do really want to sell, without trades, it may be wise to just keep bumping every now and then for a month. I would almost guarantee there are buyers desperately trying to flog stuff to obtain this beauty. Obviously, your call to withdraw, but a week is a short time for folk to raise £1250/£1500. I LOVE lollipops
3. WHAT, YOU CAN CHANGE STRINGS???
4. Didn't work and I can't delete, bugger.
5. Amazing isn't it Tim. Usually matched headstock basses at decent prices fly out. Guess they must be "so last year" Bump for a great bass and a great bloke. GLWTS
6. Probably yes, if two folk REALLY WANT one each. I'm just a bit twitchy about being left with one 8 ohm 400watt cab which is not enough for my needs (no fnarr fnarr thank you ). Will let you know definitely tomorrow chaps, reason being there is SUPPOSEDLY a chap coming to try my Limelight jazz tonight, so hopefully I will need them for him. Hopefully this one will turn up, 3rd time lucky! IF 2 folk want one each, £325 each including cover delivered to Martin and Beefy Thanks for the interest, Karl.
7.
I am afraid that without a good set of photographs and a full and detailed description of your bass nobody will be interested in even considering a purchase. You are asking a lot of money for the bass and so you really must give good information especially when you are a new member of the forum.
Actually a member for 2 years and 8 months. Might be an idea to do a search on your model bass and also some of the top quality adverts in the "Basses for sale " section. A good advert will be a massive aid to a sale, as will excellent pictures and any evidence of provenance. EDIT. Following link is nothing to do with me. It is for a low price bass but the member has put effort into crafting an EXCELLENT advert (just a random one, from many) http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254740-fs-washburn-idol-wb66-les-paul-style-single-cut-4-string/ Comments are just to help you, good luck with your sale, Karl.
8. Two of these cabs, excellent condition about 2 years old. Made in Italy, weight 30lbs each, both 8 ohm 400 watts both with Roqsolid covers. I bought these last year for a new project which is doing a few (very few!) festivals this year. Turns out these festivals will all have backline. Now I bought these to look better on big stage than a Barefaced S12V would. Now, it makes not a toss of difference hence, I WOULD LIKE TO TRADE THESE for a Barefaced Gen 3 Super Twin, must be in excellent condition. I will sell them both for £650 the pair, including the 2 Roqsolid covers I had made for them.Prefer collection from Wigan ,or meet up within 80 miles of Wigan free of charge. If needed will courier both for £35 extra (UK only). Sorry,no PAINPal. Cash on collection or cleared bank transfer or cheque. And now the ever challenging get photos up bit Cheers, Karl. EDIT. It has been pointed out to me these are available at £400 each, new. Those are made in Indonesia. These Italian cabs were well over £600 each, new. 9. I had a go on this at Ash's gaff and it sounds superb! Both with a jazz and a Rick. GLWTS my friend, cracking bit of kit.
10. These look fantastic, was seriously lusting after the last one that was up GLWTS
11. Although technically illegal, cream pearloid would look nice but hey, whatevaaaar http://www.originalscratchplates.com/
12. This is the bass mine was modelled on. I asked for exactly the same spec, just in Sea Foam. Good luck with the sale Alex. Cheers, Karl.
13.
As promised a couple of pics of my 4000 note the set neck only produced for a short time. The tuners are replacements apart from one of the 'wavy' Grovers. It has been refinished as you can see some of the old burgundy paint job through the dings. In the last pic it sits next to my similar era shortscale 3000 bass. This is a bolt on neck 'student' bass that has the loudest pickup ever!
Oh Lordy Ash. Expect to come home to a ram raided house
14. Despite what the arbiters of poor taste mumble about, the law is quite clear. In the UK, only 2 kinds of scratchplate are legal; Tort Gold anodised.
15. Brilliant, well done indeed!
16. Interesting this. I've just pre ordered a new Steve Harris. After a lot of should I/shouldn't I. The chances of getting one within 40 miles of Wigan are very low, even after they arrive for UK release. Cheapest UK pre order I could find was £948. Thomann pre order last Monday, £851. Thomann pre order today, £812 I have bitten the bullet. Will be interesting to see what happens with delivery in April, in terms of price. Cheers,Karl.
17.
I'm surprised the Flying Shuttle is still open - it looks pretty run down these days and it's almost getting eaten up by an ever expanding shopping mall. Good luck with he gig - I hope they advertise it properly, I will let a few of my musician friends know!
Yeah, the other band I'm in did it just before Christmas. The bouncer said since the nightclub had been demolished that side of the town is dead. Troyen chose it to re-debut because Glen is a great kid, good with the in house pa. In house pa means Troyen don't need to take one. If your muso pals do come, tell them not to expect too much, and thanks for the thought. Cheers, Karl.
18. Fabulous, so rare you see the Japan 75 MAPLE board up for sale. I know I shouldn't, but go on, what's the weight please
19. CD'S arrived at little drummer boys an hour ago. I'm 56, I should be a lot more chilled about all this
20.
Sorry I'm late with this but I've just realise one of my sideline bands does it's first gig tomorrow night in Stalybridge.
