1. If I've missed anybody (I'm Karl Altdorfer on Faecesbook), please pm me and I will rectify. Fairly sure I have got all though. Not following as many as on the first couple of days. Simply because my phone never stopped beeping with notifications
2. That looks really great Mike, a playable Pino for smaller hands. Very tempting purely because I'm weak GLWTS
3. I was under the impression VAT wasn't applicable on used equipment? If a dealer has something out at top whack and offers insult on trade, they are POTENTIALLY losing profit on 2 transactions. A lot of folk decide to sell something and check the prices on FEEBAY. Most folk slap around 15% on to cover their FEEbay costs. For example my Thumb. £1150 on t'bay (inc courier) £900 on here (not inc courier). Then the even more ambitious look at Andy Baxter
4. I've disliked the Tbird since I bought one 20 years ago. Even taking that into account what were they thinking of with them new pups
5.
And I suppose not all bands are to everyone's taste - I liked all those in the list regardless of musical content, but maybe that's not the idea?
I've liked everybody as well. To be honest if we can't give a little bit of blind support to like minded muso's, especially when all it costs is a few seconds, it's a bit of a poor show
6. Change it over to passive and roll of the volume on the J pup. Most of the time Folk put J's on P's in the 70's for a very good reason and for many, including me, a passive P/J just covers most needs.
7.
I'm sure it's fine- Deep Sea Drivers is missing the 'R' which makes it word play too, but no worries! Quite- the hint has been dropped a few times already- so let's all get in on Pinball's great community-sprited idea, and make sure we are all 'likers' as much as 'likees'. Spread the love guys, it only takes a few seconds to keep up with this, and it can be really valuable to newer or smaller bands.
I never get any credit for anything, hence being a sulky, bad tempered old goat. So, own trumpet blowing, quote, me, Dec 25th 2014 8pm on Pinball's original thread; "Liked. In at no 80. Mods, is it possible for us to have a pinned post where any of us could officially [s]beg[/s] ask our peers for likes? I'd love to get our two bands some more likes (as much as anything so the drummer stops bloody pestering me ) but I just thought it was perhaps bordering on associate/small business kinda thing? Cheers, Karl. " Seriously though, well done Pinball for just doing it, we are all grateful
8.
Karlfer how do you keep finding wronguns to deal with ? Well dodged !
It's a knack, the only skill I have He's been back on since stating he had it made to look the same as his Lakland 55 something or other. When I sell this Warwick, that's it, I'm done, finito. Aye, right,
9. Thanks very much fellas. He got back to me after a few questions and claimed it's a one off. Looking back through his posts on Faecesbook he had it out at £750 at one stage So glad I checked with you lot, because if he'd gone to £500 cash, plus this bass for my £900 Warwick I may well have jumped. His bass is, after all, IMO, a bloody good looker. Close escape methinks
10.
I think this one may have been tinkered with. I dont think they have ever offered anything like this.
I couldn't find one anywhere although I came across a vague reference to a 2011 special edition.
11.
My band, Bone Island...we are an original rock trio, based in Glasgow... https://www.facebook...349198508519861 Here's the blurb... "Bone Island create beautiful epic seventies rock n roll with country, blues rock elements and pomp to fill your ears with the sound of a jet engine...... We are influenced by the grand tradition and attitude of 70's style rock music."
Been there, done that, weeks ago. Still snarling at the geezer with the Dudepit
12. Reduced to £40 +£4 postage mainland UK.
13.
I have never seen this before... Hope that helps!
No. I've got a wife like you
14. I have been offered the following Ray34 as part ex against my thumb. He has valued his Ray 34 at £500. Without exception, every Ray 34 I can find has gone for between £350/£400. If I did the deal, I wouldn't be keeping the bass (not my thing) I need to ensure I don't lose out. I can't find any Ray 34 that looks like this, with what seems to be a quilted top and pick up setting selector switch (although quite a few SB14's appear to have that feature). Any info gratefully accepted, cheers, Karl.
15. Just so glad it's a 5 or I would have been right in it
16. Now where was I? Oh yeah,
17. My goodness Jiri, you do have some wonderful basses, that looks superb! GLWTS
18. I've had a couple of these, both of which I regret moving on, they were both excellent and MUCH MUCH lighter than the Japanese 75's I've had. Lovely bass, GLWTS
19. I got a 500 a few months back. Absolutely love it. Set it up at 1st gig when I got it and just have not needed to change anything except slightly different volume for slightly different venues. Amazing bits of kit imo. GLWTS
20. Absolutely beautiful bass Jiri, if it had been a 4, I would have! GLWTS, cheers, Karl.
21. Stunning. Don't know if it helps but list of specs linked http://www.guitar.co...pdn-sledge-bass GLWTS, cheers, Karl.
22. Raslee is interested in WhiteNgold's jazz. If that went ahead then WhiteNgold would have a GB to offer to SICbass in exchange for SICbass's Yamaha. Keep up peeps This kind of menage a trois has been done quite often in the past. Good luck all.
23.
I've seen Cloudbusting on YouTube a few times - excellent band! Hope to see you play sometime :-)
Ho hum, Cheshire and a Stryker
