1. Is that a 40mm nut width? Don't really know why I'm asking as London is pushing 200 miles away, but.................
2.

discreet are you about to cut that infant's throat with a plectrum?
3. Some proper folk giving you advice here Martyn so I won't. I just hope you and your family are all ok, family and health are more important than plank spanking. Good luck my friend, tha knows where I am.
4. Very kind Paul, my round To be honest it was the guitarist/vocalist that did the mixing. In the studio, they isolated the bass tracks and I was horrified at some of the sloppiness and mistakes, but it was one take on each song, both of which we were re-arranging/adding to half an hour before studio time. Excuses, but hey, I'm actually only an old weekend warrior with creaking joints, dying brain cells and too much beer gut. Can't deny though it's a great feeling, actually having a couple of songs I've helped write, on a recorded media . Monthly rehearsal this Sunday, look forward to their response to a song wot I have writ
5.
As long as you pass that Jazz of his my way for keeping quiet about it all Karl
Can't Lozz, he flogged it
6.
Glad you're still doing it . More power to ya! Sounds like you'll get better the more you're together. The bass stands out, which is a good thing Playing loose is always better than actual recording IMHO . Trying too hard not to make mistakes etc. Keep it up
Thank you, we should get better, we were actually still writing both numbers as we were recording them but I would guess we aren't the first to do that
7. Very kind Martyn, I'll have a pint of what you are drinking We currently have 5 smallish festivals lined up next year, Northumbria, Chelmsford, Brecon, an August bank hol metal festival somewhere down south and a Belgian one next Oct. There is also talk of gigs with Tygers of Pang Tang and Desolation Angel or Sacrilege, can't remember which. As well as the other band's weekly forays into various Dog and Ducks/Slaughtered Lambs I'm too chuffing old for all this.
8. Think you'll find it's slingNay. Anyway, I'm not here for the last word, I'm off into a murky part of BC I've not ventured before. Nigel/Mark, you two ARE on my hit list , come the revolution, pop, pop (ps discreet, can I have your P after I've had you messily slaughtered?).
9.
Well, the bass sounds good. As for the vocals and the guitarist(s), not so keen I'm afraid. I think the song title is repeated too much tbh, Glad you're enjoying it tho'.
Well thanks for listening, surprised anybody did Would you believe that me and drummist had finished both songs we did, one take, after writing/arranging the songs two days before? AND THE BLOODY GUITARISTS took over 1.5 days to do their widdling . I hate studio work, it's always about live for me. Next year this lot will be performing in front of crowds of up to 15,000. I'm 56, I'll never get that chance, again, so warts and all it has to be taken
10.
I ended up on Karlfers hit list for suggesting things like my single piece slab ash body on my musicman classic or in that case a Lakland being better than Fenders like this, he said that im a knob for not adding a IMO, who would prefer that 3 piece body for tone or visual reasons? As for modding it its nothing that special is it? I have a john east pre in my ClassicRay, I guess some people would have winced as I unsoldered the factory wires on a £2200 bass but its my bass
So here's me reading a nice little thing about people's thought's on a Fender. Bugger me, I come across a quote in Molan's thread with my little name in it, so I unblock you and have a read. You aren't on my hit list. GET YOUR FACT'S right for a change. But you just can't leave it alone with your cheap shots. I blocked you before I got another bollocking of the Mods. I also blocked you because you are a stirring, self opinionated, trolling, last word Harry. IMO of course. Others may have a different opinion. See the rest of you later chaps after I get another "posting rights removed". Job done slingnayPete1977, hope you are proud.
11. EDIT. NOT AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT. Nothing to see now thank you Not sure if this is the right place, not sure if the link works. The video is, erm, one still photograph, but I was a bit pleased when they asked me to join. Even more pleased that I have helped write bits, arrange bits, of two new songs that will debut (live) at Brofest next year. If it works, a McGuire/Troyen number (may lead to a Facesbook link). Finish What You Started EDIT, oooh they put t'other one up as well, a Mannion/Troyen new number, thankfully shorter Backlash
12. I still wonder at the stupidity of me selling my Bleached Blonde Thumb.
13.
This still for sale?
You might be better off sending him a private message, he's not been on the site since July 29th. Good luck.
14. Really sorry to hear about this Chris, what happened with the speakers? I ask out of concern, as you bought this cab off me just over 2 years ago, and Schroe's are kinda legendary with their build quality.
15. I reduced it by £100 to £700 collected, £730 UK mainland couriered. I have a few hundred quid to top it up as part ex against something special (including from Santa Anna by pm). Sorry Mods, edit that if not allowed. Happy to look at a jazz kinda thing plus couple hundred my way. Can't do anymore, so I've put a couple of bids in on necks on FEEBay, ending next week. Can't have it sat doing nowt, or not selling
16. Carvin inform me that this head can be used without speakers. I understand that is important to some folk. Just a little reminder; down to £300 collected, £315 couriered mainland UK
17.
Just don't turn it past 9 o'clock then!
I changed the valves Anyway, long gone. I couldn't get it to sound how I wanted it to, at too many venues.
18. Carvin's no good to you Chris, only 300 watt at 8 ohms. I don't really know of many that pump out big at 8 ohms, even the modern stuff. Good luck.
19.
A motorised gramma pad?
Oooh, we like that thought don't we my precioussssss
20. BUY MY CARVIN (shameless plug over). I did actually try a TH500 last week (as my Carvin had been sold, then the FEEBayer failed to turn up yesterday ). The TH500 sounded wonderful but it was only through an Aguilar 1 x 12 which I assume was 8 ohms. I had to crank the master and gain both to about 3 0'clock to get anywhere near gigging volume. The Carvin rarely goes much past 9 o'clock on either, so it put big doubts in my mind about gigging the TH, so LUCKILY as it turned out, I didn't buy it. The Orange Terror 500 is not the most versatile BUT!!!! it has a 40hm/8ohm switch on the back, so you can use it fully at 8ohms! If you get one, change the pre amp valves, IMO, the gain with the original tubes just sounds horrible after about 9 0.clock. Good luck, Chris, we have so much choice now
21.
Any photos yet? Really interested in this
This ^^^ Plus a statement of whether trades will be considered.
