1. With the gear you have to sell, you will have a great budget and believe me, with most of the equipment mentioned your back will thank you . Just a thought, you may like to consider used equipment from folk off here with good feedback. Reason is, I always find gear in a shop or at home sounds COMPLETELY different to how it sounds live in anger . If you buy good used gear second hand and it doesn't work out for you, you will lose a lot less money selling it on!!! Good luck whatever you decided to get and enjoy the journey!
2. Just a slight word of caution. A lot of us were fit and perfectly capable of lugging 4 x12's, 2 x18's, 4 x 15's back in the day. Now a lot of us are not, due to lugging those cabs up and down stairs 4 times a night for years. Lift properly, learn the lesson us owld gits learned the hard way
3. PM's replied, thanks folks. If it doesn't go this week, I shall slap myself for pointless GAS and keep on gigging her
4. DO NOT BUY A Barefaced off this man, buy mine. He wear's budgie smugglers Oh alright buy his, he's a good bloke and it's a fabulous price Edited for spelling (as usual ).
5. It would be this one Barefaced Super 12 (2 x 12 neo) with cloth face (vintage style)
6. So many lovely Bergs up at the mo and these are amazing. Didn't think my Barefaced would be hard to sell, but if it does go in time.................... GLWTS, cracking cabs.
7. Bugger, that's 2 in a few days. I need to check in more! discreet, you know which cartoon is being thought about don't you
8. Family and job no doubt Martyn, always the time priority. If that is the case, do what you need to do, but if you have the space and don't need the loot, put these cabs away. You will come back sometime in the future and will wish you still had them. I wish all of you the very best whatever happens. Be happy dude! Bump.
9.
Has anyone ever mentioned how light these things are I have one of the last S12T's made (probably at the same time as this one) and it/they are total guitard killers GLWTS
Thank you Marinus and Mr hux moderator sir . I put a link to the specs in post #3, however, for ease, S12 comes in at 40lbs. Your S12T is a monstrous 42lbs
10.
Does this have a tweeter ?
Sorry, no tweeter, I ordered it without one as I don't use them. I think the following link is the historical spec before they went to the Gen3. I received mine after about a 6 month wait and a couple of weeks later Alex announced the Gen3 . Anyway, link, Barefaced Bass - Super Twelve
11.
Its possible that this was mine once upon a time...I still have the orginal pickups!
Nope, it still had the original pups when Charlie bought it off me. I'd had it a couple of years, but Mark (Bananaman?) that I bought it off had owned the bass for most of it's life, certainly over a decade. Charlie who is currently selling it changed the generic pups out.. Hope that helps.
12. Wondrous beast Welcome to Basschat and good luck with the sale.
13. In the VERY unlikely event you still have it when you go to Manchester..........................
14. First and only owner. 15.
Look at some others from roughly the same era, 4 or 5 classics out of 20 in the same week - even though I wouldnt listen to em now - is good going. Back then records were still being bought by people over 40, hence Batchelors in the same chart as The Kinks and The Stones. I thought the Baron Knights were funny, but then I was only 11.
Long ago, outside a chip shop in Walthamstow............ There's a dentist in Birmingham............ Where are you all coming from? We're from Dartmoor , on the run................ The Barron Nights used to crease me up, jolly fun
16. I keep looking at these as I fancy a change from my Barefaced Super 12 Vintage. I've had it 18 months, it's a record breaker . The inevitable question is do I put it up for sale then these go at the same time as the S12V and I have no cab? I am doing a trade next week and receiving a Skyline Bob Glaub, might be safer to wait and put that up for sale, as cabless would be a problem. Decisions decisions . If I did get lucky how would you feel about a meet at Scotch Corner (just over 100 miles each way for me)? Good luck regardless, cheers, Karl.
17. Marinus is a top bloke, good luck with the sale fella. Cheers, Karl.
18. Oh God, The Bachelors. I can't remember how many times my mother dragged me to see them when I was a child
19.
Thanks, Dave. This is 'the one', if you want to have a look... http://s734.photobuc...s?sort=6&page=1
So, A.You were famous. B. You sold that Precision. It is fairly obvious your sanity has completely legged it. You must keep the Limelight, buy the P back and give them both to somebody of sound mind, to ensure they are properly looked after. Hmph, sound mind, didn't think that one through did I. Good luck getting your P back Mark.
20.
I was going to say, I bet as soon as you buy this other one you will regret selling this!
21. Wouldn't be if I hadn't just bought the famous SEI "Melt " just before it came up Bump.
22. What a beautiful bass. Every time I buy something, another stunning desirable comes up. Oh well GLWTS Bump.
23. Lovely Nick (not you obviously ). I have had a couple of the US 75 RI's and they really were fabulous basses. GLWTS Bump.
