What is the neck profile like? So very tempted by something like this, but also constantly being reminded I'm a penniless student! Unfortunately not a huge fan of 1.5" (curse my hands!) used to a 1.7-1.78 width and it's more my preference. (I'm not over compensating I swear...) Stunning bass though mate, best of luck with the sale! Stop having great (ie similar) taste to me Karl haha! What's your main bass these days?
Sorry Adam, just seen this. Currently using my 2014 FSR Sea Foam Pearl passive p/j. Mexican and superb. Bump.
I must have missed that bit or the alcohol had taken its toll! Ha! Ha! I wish the female population of a Lancaster believed that but thanks for cheering a chap up My Achilles is on the mend I'm a one crutch bass player now. Gotta say that it's a standing joke with me and my mate who is a massive Lynyrd Skynyrd fan - we always and I mean always shout for 'Freebird' at every gig we go to no matter who is playing; Magazine, VDGG, Manics, Eels, Bill Bailey, Courtney Pine, any pub band, blah, blah.... You lot did it and did it well rendering my mate speechless
A speechless mate, usually a good thing except at bar time!
STOP BEATING ME TO THE ROCKSTAR LIFE. Seriously though Karl, glad things have worked out!
I'm pushing 40 years older than you Adam, hardly beating you to it fella

Thanks Derek. I've had a look "under the hood" and the wiring is the same as the SD Custom Shop Stacked so reckon that is what it is. There is a lot of room under the hood to use for actives if required. I've just paid £575 for it without even a gig bag and I reckon that was a bargain for a bass as good as this. At £500 plus courier I reckon it really is a bargain. I will part it out next week but if it hasn't gone within 2 weeks I'm not going to flog the proverbial. It will be no hard ship to keep it, but THREE 54's is a touch OTT

Damon, being 6' 1" helps when dummy spitting . jonesbass, start a thread, expect great advice and some urine extraction. Tony, don't know what you are insinuating discreet, you are correct. Ash, 2nd set, 2nd number guitarist breaks string 2 bars into solo. Screams at me to fill and I make a very badly timed hash of it. Your kind lies are appreciated . To all others daft enough to read, I HATE ASH. He looks like one of those ridiculously handsome young 60's film stars. People who look like that have NO place in the bass world Hope your Achilles is on the mend Mr. Oh, and a Welsh organiser contacted the drummer last night, about another festival.

Thanks folks. Delberthot was the brains behind this one
Very cool bass! Is the neck also from Warmoth?
Yes Mr. 71 it is a custom order from Warmoth. The same specification neck will cost you approximately £440 to your door, after taxes and shipping. And a 2 month wait. I am FAIRLY sure the pick up is the following linked stack single coil humbucker thingy Stack® for Single Coil P-Bass® - Seymour Duncan Bass Edit. Forgot, the DG on the headstock are the original owners initials. It's a sticker sort of thing which I am sure will come off.

Some of the old hands will remember this bass that Delberthot got made. He has kindly given me permission to use his original sale thread. I bought this with the intention of getting a Warmoth reversed headstock maple neck made, a la Fender CS Dusty Hill. Two days after I bought it, a Warmoth almost the same as the Dusty came up, so I bought that. This is straight up for sale. Original thread (many thanks Derek) Warmoth '54 Single Coil Precision bass - SOLD Mahogany body, rear routed. Wenge neck, jazz nut width, tele style headstock, ebony fretboard, Gotoh 201, Gotoh BML tuners, gold coloured frets. Not sure what the pup is but it is stacked and good! I will put in a cheap but functional ESP gigbag. This would cost over £1000 in parts to import (inc vat etc). Top class bass but not for shrinking violets. 4 chips, one at neck joint, one at pup, one on lower bout and one at truss rod access. £500 collected from Wigan, £525 insured courier to mainland U K. If you inquire from off our island, yes, I will ship BUT you must sort out your own courier and insurance. Bank transfer, cleared cheque or cash on collection please, I will not take PAINPal so please don't ask. TRADES HAPPILY CONSIDERED, although I would value it at £550 for trade. If it doesn't look like it's going in a week or so I will seriously consider parting it out. EDIT, happy to meet, no charge between say Brum/Leeds/Carlisle. No obligation trial in Wigan welcome. My FEEDBACK is linked at the bottom of all my posts. Cheers, Karl. Just an update a few months down the line, thought I'd do that as it was good in the first place to bounce off folk. I did spit the dummy, but with gigs booked I never really went away. With about 15 in the diary for BBGM for next year already, it became more obvious Troyen was going to be run concurrently, but the band I was in was going to be the bread and butter band. As time has gone on, the originals band that I was spitting about has now got 3 festivals for next year. They also have a Scottish Fest as a possibilty and also ones in Belgium and Holland. They have been asked to write 2 new numbers for a compilation CD, NWOBHM 30 years on. Their original bassist has told them he can not commit the time required. I was asked to join on Saturday night at our gig. They announced it on their Facebook page today. So basically, I am an embarrassed tart/brat. But a happy one . Thanks to all of you in my hour of bratish-ness. EDIT. Last night a second label asked them for some material for a compilation album.

Not quite local for me but always worth the trip. great shop and Gary really is exceptional. Ash, hope your achilles is on the mend fella.

I had the last version of this with the slightly strange Gibson-esque hockey stick headstock. A fantastic bass and I just missed out on one 4 months ago, courtesy of the M6 car park . Only thing that is a no no for me is it is fretless. The weight is nothing, the power they deliver is enormous . GLWTS, Karl.
Postage is free on items above about £165 but is now €15 on anything less which is good for an amp or lights etc, we shouldn't really be buying items smaller than that from Germany IMO anyway. My button moon is in Staffordshire
Too far for a cuppa
Morning tea spilt. Thanks Karl haha!
Thank you Adam, made my day worthwhile. Hope all going well on your road to stardom. Jealous, moi?
Have you tried to post one to Germany? £8 including the packaging costs on an item often 3/4 of the price anywhere else seams fair to me, there is obviously a cut of point, plectrums and small items won't be worth it but for anything larger I've never seen lower prices and bigger purchases are free postage, my Stagg was £299 with free postage yet my local shop has to pay £369 to get then in before adding their cut, my double bass strings were £135 at thomann £150 everywhere else.
Agree with much you say, however, they do have some purchasing power with their couriers for obvious reasons. The point I was trying to make is if I wanted a £180 bass, it would cost me the same for delivery as something that would come in a small jiffy bag (no comments discreet thank you ). So for something small, that is in fact quite a lot cheaper, it makes little sense when I can get the same thing from the UK, higher price, cheaper postage, no currency waffling about. Time to leave Mr TBird alone, enough perhaps? MrPete1977, is that the Button Moon just down the road from Highley, where I will be all next week?
"What am I missing please?" Royal Mail charge a flat £8 fee for processing customs cleared mail from the US (on top of VAT and duty)
Sorry, musta been typing. That answers that. So, I was right, I'm no better off really. Hey ho. Many thanks guys. Anybody got a second hand Fender American Deluxe bass bridge
Ah I see I was assuming it had 5 at the rear and two at the top

You might get hit with a handling charge, which could wipe out your £13.
Thanks WOT, I had a feeling I was missing something. Isn't it something like the Post Office handling charge, as well as VAT and import duties?

One of the reasons I won't order from Thomann. 10 Euro postage on a bass bridge weighing what, 30/40 g? It's a bass bridge, not the bloody Tyne bridge
