1. Not sure where to put this but I would guess some of you guys who do wondrous mods have faced similar head scratching moments.. I am looking to replace a Fender 50's style, 2 barrel, 7 hole, string through/top mount bridge. The only one that seems to be a drop in replacement is the American Deluxe bass bridge. In the UK, strings Direct are £51 delivered. Thomann are £50 delivered. One of the US suppliers are linked below. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291163525963?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 So by my reckoning, that US supplier, even adding 25% for customs and VAT charges, works out at about £37. Admittedly I will have to wait longer, but I'm not in a hurry. I would only be saving about £13, but that's almost one third saving against the US dealers price. And it's two thirds the price of a new set of Status Premier strings What am I missing please?
2. Jack, very interested, but couple of questions please. Thought these were all active, yet this looks to be passive? Is that how it was made, custom order? What is the nut width please as I believed these were standard jazz, but P nut width available as an option. I had James Stelfox's (Starsailor) and should never have sold it . Cheers, Karl.
3. Having said there are timewasters here, some of the retailers should step forward and claim their own fame on the timewasters front. The Bass Gallery. Still showing my old SEI P/J as for sale on their website, right now. It was sold last week, after I had emailed them about it. Gutted. Mind they did eventually respond (phone message left) 4 days after my initial email . Reidy's of Blackburn. Still had the Bongo up for sale on FEEBay last night. They sold it to a cash customer last week. Timewasters all over sadly, but you just don't go back to them.
4.
Lol you are a very naughty boy Karl
You might say that, I couldn't possibly comment
You finally gave in
GLWTS
5. Unless I've missed them, what is the weight please? Also nut width? Cheers, Karl.
6. Guess if you are selling it's just one of the hoops you have to go through. I've also had more than one that has messed me about but what can you do, you can't force folk. Mind, the last great act of defiance is always muttered obscenities
7.
I saw it the owner said it weighed over 10lbs so I decided to save my back!
Cheers Ash, and then it don't feel so bad

13.
Ah ok mate! Saw that, it looks abit beaten in the Sapphire Black if I'm not mistaken, still, all round sweet basses. Your welcome to come try before you buy man, but I'm sure I'm a way off from ya
Yup, closer to try their's so if I hate it at least I haven't done a 200 mile + round trip. Not sure if it's a bit beaten or it's reflected light, they state "great condition" but one man's great condition is anothers road worn.
14. Reidys, about 20 miles from me, have one up on FEEBay at the moment at £895 free delivery. Going to try and sneak over there tomorrow to have a bit play with it. If it goes well I may be back in touch Chas. Meanwhile... Bump.
15. Very nice Tom my lad but you are slipping! Weight? Nut width? Is case or gig bag included? Not that you would ask those questions GLWTS friend, Can't believe I spelled weight wrong
16. Lotta good lookin bass for the loot Tom. Buy it peeps, you know it makes sense!
17. Thank you Mr 1211, very kind of you to make the effort Lovely bass, your ad may well sell it for the poster. I THINK the seller is based in North Lincs.

20. Mr Apple, just a query. Warmoth neck are all "rounded heel" they tell me, as is yours on the Cabronita featured. Pictures of new Cabronitsa both Squier and Fender, show a squared off neck heel. So to fit that neck, did you need to do any routing of the neck pocket? Bump.

22. Steve, if you want to get REALLY wonky, Fender do a Pawn Shop Reverse Jag, it's upside down
23. Yamaha Sea Foam, Peterbuilt Sea Foam and Fender FSR 2014 Sea Foam Pearl. Unlike Dingus I like green . There is a Squier in Burgundy Mist available. Hacks me off in PMT when you see Strats, Teles in the good colours but not basses. Meanwhile, back on thread, stunning white P, enjoy.
