1.
Looks like he didn't drum up much interest in it.

2. Lights on the BX700 look great on stage and are helpful as well. Can I be an honourary Southerner please ?
3.
So what you're saying is that I'll now have to buy it
The tempting answer, yes of course. The real answer, not at all Chris, thanks for saving me selling something incorrectly advertised that may have come back and bitten my nethers.
4. And the only reason I'm selling it is to get the maple boarded one Thanks Chris. Edit. Chris, we must have been typing at the same time. You have the eyes of a sh*t house rat (that's a compliment to your optical prowess). My eyes are rubbish but I've just measured the nut. Best I can see is 1 and 5/8ths inches and between 41 and 42 mm. Ad to be adjusted accordingly with my apologies, and thanks to Chris.
5. Probably last bump as the other one finishes tomorrow night.
6. Right, I'm back, with photos up after a torrid time between laptop/Basschat/photobucket . This laptop is not long for this world. Mykesbass, changed Molan. Well Barrie, I know you live in the south, so, allowances made. I thought the statement "the back lighting is a boon on stage" kinda covered that Luke, don't think so, I have now managed to get the handbook up. Dandelion, very kind, it will be up on sale the week after next (I'm paid up until next April, so not a stealth advert ).
7. OK, the review is crap because I'm a muppet. THE AMP IS FAB! If anybody wants the title changing, let me know. THIS IS A FANTASTIC AMP IMHO. Got this just over a week ago, this was it's second gig. The disappointing bits. 1. It was supposed to come with a locking kettle lead, it didn't. Factory fault, the box had never been opened. 2. The EQ sliders look a little flimsy, but they aren't. Nit picking here. Live, I have used it with US Precision, US Hot Rodded Precision, and Mex FSR P/J Deluxe (passive). With the normal P, I needed to back the bass down a touch on both gigs. With the contour (mid scoop) at half (noon ) the Precision will do anything from JPJ on Zepp 1V, to 'Arry on, well, most Maiden albums. A bit of low mid cut at 200hz and a bit of boost at 1.2khz. That was told to me by a sound engineer years ago and it still helps now. I have used the compressor a tiny bit, but I'm not keen on them to be honest. This one is as good as any I've used on an amp head. I've not used the EQ sliders, don't need to. I may come across a room where they will be needed, but they are another toy for the clinically insane twiddlers. The amp makes my basses sound excellent through the B/F S12V. So far, I have only used it live in solid state mode. I have used the valve pre amp setting at home and it is a good break up, smooth, steady, warm into grit.. It's not like the horridness of original 500watt Bass Terrors where you look at the gain and it breaks up. A couple of guys had asked me to do a review, but I'm dreadful at this sort of thing. And photos . So, it works for me. It is louder, better equipped and more complex than the GK I had before it. The back lighting is a boon on stage. The settings you will see were against a miked up drummer and two loud guitarses through the pa. I wasn't. Didn't need to be. You will have different equipment and technique to me. If you have a need for a powerful and EXTREMELY versatile head, that has a myriad of eq'ing options, AND the chance to run on S/S if your pre amp valve goes tits up halfway through a gig, give this a go. A bargain, and a tremendous amp. Well done and thank you Carvin More photos later when I sort this poxy computer that is pissing me about
8.
When mine arrives, I'll be back!

Whatcha going for?
Yeah, spill please
9. Like most, sale required to fund it. I'm rather keen to get a CS and that is just amazing.
10. Pics or it didn't happen (very well done though!)
11. Yes chaps, because I'm not getting enough grief as it is And then, my old Yam Att Spec comes up with some super mods done since she left me PS, Dingus with such great info (and photo ) please feel free to be an anorak any time
12. Mark from the LA80's gigged this old girl non stop for over a decade, then myself for 4 years (evidence in my avatar guv). The updates are like giving Dolly Parton a boob job This was a fantastic gigging bass, with some very good mods. I really need to go away now. Sorry it's actually made in 95, the only year of production. 5000 made over 4 colours, most never left the Far East. I'm going before I do something I'll[s] enjoy[/s] regret. Charlie, you might like to let the following folk know 0 YAMAHA Attitude Ltd.
13. All the comedians out last night then ('cept you Mr Biscuits)
14. Early 90's I had a Fenix Tele Thinline, beautiful very well made guitar. Also had a couple of P/Js over the years and they were also exceptional for the money. There is a good Fenix enthusiasts page on Faecesbook.
15.
I think we need to have an intervention Karl. Your GAS is getting out of hand and hurting those around you. The first step is admitting you have a problem. These guitars have feelings you know!
I think you are probably right on all counts
16.
Erm, what happened on your plan of trying to get down to 3 basses? I saw this on FB the other day, looks really nice, although I agree, I prefer the maple neck as well. Tell ya what Dougie, you Mothers give the Toon McCall and I'll go down to three basses

Pictures are definitely required!
Not if I'm taking them Dave
17. Gone thanks. 18. Carvin BX700, Barefaced S12V, 2 basses, gig bag, stands, all in The Gargoyles Tigra convertible. Enough volume to bring down small planes. GK MB500/GB Shuttle etc all will do the same. You will have no trouble shifting the Epi and B/F prices have dropped with the release of Gen 3. Nice B/F compact will do the job as well.
19.
I think he changed the ad when I asked him about the cost of postage... Here's the post from here: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2419489
ONE of the sales posts from here
20. Hello Paul. BBGM. ( Big Bald Gay Men, Bob the Builders Gay Mates, Baddleys Bottom Genocidal Methane) There is a link at the bottom of all my posts to BBGM on NWB. Next Sat Blackburn Sat after Lytham ,after that is far too far away for me to remember More than welcome to come round for an hours prat about, but it is totally different in a little back bedroom to a gig.
21. Fairly sure this is the one that was for sale on here, and not for the first time.
22.
Im in Chorley later as well Karl!! Lucky for you its not in my car, good luck with the unmentionable. Is it easy to sell your other half these days?
No, can't even get anyone to trade a Kay for the Mrs Oh, I see. No, the unmentionable is a kind of bass.
23. Now, what was it I was supposed to say? Oh yeah, I remember. C'mon, I'm trying to do a deal here. That was it. As you were. Bump.
24. Gorgeous, amazed this is still here (yes I KNOW it only came up yesterday. Um, good song but you gotta GIVE ME THE MARSHMALLOWS If my unmentionable sells in time........................
25. From the Carvin, any good? thread. First gig with BX700 last night. Instant punch in chest, amazing power and sound, with virtually no fiddling. Slight cut on bass, slight cut on low mid at 200 hz, slight boost on high mid at 1.2khz (a soundman once told me to do that), no compression, graphic eq off, valve pre amp off. Drive about 1 o'clock, master at about 9 o'clock. Against miked up drummer and guitarses. Perception was much more powerful than GB Shuttle/ Streamliner 600, GK MB 500. Fabulous, and learning this amp has just started.
