Steve Harris style silver anodised scratchplate
karlfer posted a topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Hi guys, I wasn't sure where to put this link. Over the years, I've seen quite a few express interest in 'Arry plates. Now I THINK his are chrome but these look similar. Works out pricey for one plate, with customs charges VAT & shipping. HOWEVER if I ordered 5 any everybody split all costs...........??????? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANODIZED-ALUMINUM-Pickguard-for-Fender-Precision-P-Bass-Standard-USA-MIM-13-Hole/123532346835?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=424176061995&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 -
Withdrawn. Mesa Boogie Subway D800 with gigbag

Hand made in Petaluma California good 'ol US of A. Despite Mesa's recent UK "price re-alignment" (ie they were ridiculously over priced when I bought this) this package will still set you back nearly £900 new. It looks like gigs will start happening again late spring, however like many older musicians I have decided it's unlikely I will gig again. This versatile, light, powerful "boutique?" bass amp head has had little but occasional home use for the last year. Excellent condition with 2 or 3 little finish chips, has 4/8 ohms or 2 ohms switch. Made in USA. 800 watts at 2 or 4 ohms, 400 watts at 8 ohms. UK mainland courier would be another £27. Feedback linked below, Thanks for looking & keep safe, Karl.

For Sale. £30 collected from Darlington, Co Durham, with mask, gloves, distance & alcohol (or for some a pre-Covid Saturday night 🤣). Gear4Music hard case for bass, Precision, Jazz etc. Scuffs, residue from stickers, can't be bothered cleaning it. It still does it's job very well thank you. In a bizarre turn of events, I still have the key & it locks Keep safe, Karl.

Fender MM Roadworn withdrawn as I’m parting it out

Love love love this bass. I used to use my green one slightly to differently to how Mike has mentioned. I used the neck woofer full on, usually with tone rolled off, perfect for the sort of Zepp, Bad Co bottom end smooth. Go to more Lizzy or punky stuff dial in as much P to give the amount of snarl the number required. Simple, beautifully made & effective.

I have just had the pleasure of Brian buying a bass from me. Decisive, quick to pay & organise what he needed to do. On top of that he is yet another of the blindingly nice guys that make up Basschat. It has been an absolute joy to deal with you Brian, my thanks for everything. Keep safe & enjoy Daffers, cheers bud, Karl.

String spacing 17mm ? I've loved that Peterbilt for years, sigh.

Try looking at various bass head owner manuals, some will give you start points, for instance my Mesa Subway 800, linked below (think it's about page 14 on download). https://mesa-boogie.imgix.net/media/User Manuals/070532_Subway_D800_171103-download.pdf

It's stopped working again! so it's not the Ki0Gon loom, the pick up is buggered. So I'm going to reduce it for a few days, then remove it, get a replacement pick up & keep the damn thing. £600, absolutely NO offers thank you. Organise & pay for your own courier please, no gigbag or case, it will be bubble wrapped & in a cardboard box. I pack well for shipping, see my feedback. I'm off to cry now thank you. -
Sorry @Thunderbird I cocked the quote bit up. "Nice bass Karl Not sure if you know but the insurance for 99 percent of courier's will not be valid if the bass is not in a hardcase for shipping it'll be in the small print somewhere glwts mate " UPS do cover it, however if I'm booking ANY courier for a buyer, my main concern is insuring against it getting LOST, where they must pay out, providing you have an evidential trail. I was screwed for a Musicman years ago and lost the bass & £600. IF THE BUYER wishes to cut the cost on courier that is THEIR decision. They want the convenience of me doing it, it's on my terms. Few basses get trashed by couriers (unlike cabs, that's always a no-no for me) especially if I have wrapped them up.
