1. Thanks chaps. This is my go to gigging bass. I have only put it up because none of my others would raise anything like enough to help get the rare CS that has come up. The only reason I would like the CS is because of the fretboard profile. Played one once, a real 61, and the board was out of this world. This Sadowsky is a bit cheaper than the other one that's up, because it's a bit older. If the CS goes before this, well, I won't be gutted . Cheers, Karl.
2. WILL CONSIDER THIS PLUS A FEW HUNDRED QUID YOUR WAY, AGAINST POSSIBLE FENDER CUSTOM SHOP. As it says, 2009, spare black scratch plate. Very good condition, some "certain light" scuffing on back, one dint, not through paint, near jack. Comes with the hard foam Sadowsky case. Only for sale as it is the only bass I have that can raise enough money to put a very special bass within my reach. This is now my main gigging bass. If the special one I am looking at gets sold, this will be removed. Price shown is collected from Wigan. An extra £40 for fully insured courier, mainland UK only. Sorry, I will not take PAINPal. I will accept cash on collection, cleared bank transfer or cleared cheque. My feedback at bottom of post. Awful photos follow. As anybody who has bought a bass off me will confirm, I'm the worlds worst picture taker. 3. Don't think mine would compete Harry as mine is maple board. I wouldn't dream of selling my Sadowsky HOWEVER, a Fender Custom Shop jazz with a very rare profile fretboard is currently available and I'm struggling to ignore it. Good luck though, bump, cheers, Karl
4. Bugger, was going to put my MV4 up tomorrow as there is a Custom Shop I am lusting after . I will keep the field clear until this one has gone. It won't be a hardship , superb basses. GLWTS Bump. Karl.
5.
That's funny because I'm currently drooling over something VERY similar! http://www.coda-musi...ck-p-13086.html
Yup that one's on my radar however that's a 7,5 radius, t'other ones 9.25 with apparently the legendary almost flat fretboard. The hard bit for me is the only way to get it would be to flog my Sadowsky and I can see my timing meaning me ending up with neither Good luck with your lust
6. Fender Custom Shop 1960 Relic Jazz Bass, Black, New, Inc. Case & COA, Basses product details : Guitar Village UK | Guitar Village UK The above. If I thought I could sell my Sadowsky in time (only one with enough value to add my cash to) I would have this
7. The only good thing about missing out on this is that they did weigh the equivalent of a large cathedral.
8. Yes, come on you two, get traded, before I convince myself a 520 mile round trip isn't the worst thing on the planet
9.
Hi, Would a Musicman Stingray be of interest as a trade, Lovely Bass you have. Roj
Hiya Roj, nice to see the boys are back in town
10. THAT is perfection. Anybody want to buy a Sadowsky or a road worn vital organ? Bump and GLWTS.
11.
No one even have any trade offers for me?
You may have to wait a little while for the right trade to come along. Arguably most people have the modern Fenders that you aren't particularly wanting, so the potential pool of traders, on the gear you are after, is relatively small. Just a thought, but it may be worth considering something like a late model Fender plus say £450. Then you could move the Fender on probably relatively quickly. It would probably open a much larger pool to you. Good luck, Karl.
12. I rather like mine, that is a bit like that. As mine was it bit cheaper it has as brown tortie BassDoc plate coming as well Fender Deluxe PJ Bass Sea Foam Pearl
13. No mention of the R word copy ? Not actually a sale, more a research thing and they do exist. Even in through neck form Mods please remove if not allowed.
14.
I have one of these in production with Howard as we speak - excited doesn't quite cover it!
And me
15. Third time with Tom Not only a flogger of top stuff, but one of the most genuine, likeable guys I have met. Super quick deal and delivery as ever. Speak soon fella and all the very best. Many thanks Tom, Karl.
16. As Nige said! Pretty pictures! Far too many of us are magpies attracted by pretty things. If we were to be totally rational, most basses can be made to sound like most other basses. Yes, I am one of the worst offenders
17.
Please don't reduce this any more, I'm only human
?? Doh, save smart arse comments until AFTER Tom has posted. Bump.
18. Superb basses. Only reason I sold mine is I don't really get on with actives. Then they brought a passive version of this out, which I now have This FSR active really is a very good bass. Mine was as well put together as a Yank, with rolled fingerboard edges and high mass bridge. The active eq covers pretty much all Fender sounds and it's a versatile P/J with a J neck. Good stuff. GLWTS
19.
Thought you just bought one Karlfer
A bloke can look, what are you, my wife
20. Nice US jazz in Preston. After a mail conversation, quite sure he would take £600 cash if somebody turned up at his house. Even at £650 it looks to be a very good bass for the money. If I hadn't just bought Tom's.................................................. 21. Alembic's can not go for any less than this. My luthier said that mine was the best made INSTRUMENT he'd seen in 30 years of er, luthiery.
22.
Incorrigible Such a good word! And yes no mention to me of pot, kettle etc

LOL enjoy
Every one's a critic
23. 4 years I've lusted over this bass. So much for down to two basses
