1.
Ahem...your Sadowsky is active! ;-)
And passive VTC
2. I had one of the FSR Sea Foam PJ's from 2012. Excellent bass, but sold it, erm, twice. Just not an active sort of bloke. Now they have brought a passive FSR P/J out, in Sea Foam Pearl or Black gloss . The details don't seem to be accurate from Fender, apparently jazz nut and Bad ***11 bridge, not what is stated in the tech spec from Fender . No doubt everybody else saw these months ago and I missed it, so any comments would be appreciated. I know the Sea Foam I had was superbly made. Cheers, Karl Fender Deluxe PJ Bass Sea Foam Pearl
3.
Thank you so much for your support for my unnatural activities.
4. Gareth, he's had it 5 years. You of all people should know how unnatural it is for ANYBODY on here to have a bass for 5 years
5. As you appear to have decided not to sell, please could you go to your first post, use full editor at the bottom and edit your title to state WITHDRAWN. The mods will then lock you ad so muppets like me don't waste our time reading it all
6. Bugger. If it's gone could you please update your advert post #1 so us old goats don't get excited. Thanks.
7. Was just gonna pm you this one Jon. Band always says my timing is sh*te
8. Hiya, I've forgotten. What model is it? What year? What body wood? Does it have VTC? Cheers, Karl.
9.
Is Ronnie Corbett included?
Language Timothy!
10. Many thanks gents. Not really helping my willpower are you?
11. No doubt it's been covered, but lets just say I wanted to buy a bass from a luthier in Holland. The bass is, for ease, £1000 inc vat. Delivery is £50 including VAT. What other costs/duties am I likely to get hit with?. I am finding it increasingly harder to resist Peterbuilt's products
12. Sale on my white P fell through as buyer found one closer to his home. So this jazz is still currently for sale. Has been some interest but would prefer sale.
13. Further pm's replied, some interest but still currently here.
14. No longer on hold, Steve has found one closer to home.
15. That Futurama. I had one as my first bass in 1974. The guy I got it off bought it new in 1967. I paid £10 for it. Once I learned more than 3 notes I realised it was a hideous pile of useless crap. Certainly against it's replacement, a new 1976 Shaftesbury Tele copy. 7 years ago we had yet another house move and I could no longer bear carting that Futurama around. I skipped it
16. Right you lot, this is a bleedin' bargain. Get it bought so Dunc can take the P off me
17. I've had a boat load of offers from 5 strings to Dunc's fabulous offer (that I wouldn't know where to start with). Thanks to all on here and Bumtree. I would far prefer a sale, and if so, it won't be any less than £700, sorry. People are asking that and more for Japanese jazzes now! Mind, as I'm a weak willed lady boy clown gear whore I will always at least look at offers
18.
yeah sorry bud, I saw yours and though but then when I saw the black one that was the final straw and I had to buy it
another weak willed one
19. Thanks Mark, good luck with yours. Sorry Olly, them's the breaks This model was made between June 2000 and July 2003. The only colour with any resemblance to this , that was used for a time on these models, was Sky Blue (no. 51). Colours listed as used on this model (019-3400- colour number) at different times, were, 3TSB, black, Chrome red, Sky blue (all alder) , 2TSB, Sunset Orange trans (ash). Also used but discontinued were White blonde, Hot rod red, Natural ash, Aqua marine metallic. Looking at the Fender colour chart I was surprised to see that Sky Blue is actually a shade darker than Sonic Blue! Color Chart | Fender®
20.
Sensible?! That's a serious bargain, that is! Lovely basses these. Even though they tend to be a bit on the heavy side, they balance very well indeed.
Nope, in my opinion it's a sensible price. Because of exchange rates/increased vat etc, the price on the new Japanese ones went through the roof about 3 years ago (in Britain anyway). I have a feeling that is why these and the Geddy had production moved to Mexico. The Mexican ones I have tried have been just as good as the Japanese, and generally a touch lighter. People who had 5/6 year old ones Japanese ones that cost about £550new were punting them out at £700/£800 second hand, stating they were over £1000 new. They bloody well weren't when they bought them as 2 minutes on Google would show. Then they were wondering why they weren't selling them. This is IMO a fair and sensible price for both buyer and seller. Cracking bass, good price, somebody get in quick.
21.
Wooooo, this is really nice...this would contrast perfectly alongside my recently acquired 75 AVRI Jazz...what do you say, Karl, can you not buy it, remember why you sold me the CAR jazz and we can maybe do another deal in say 6 months or so?!!!
Stop that Dougie, I know what you are doing Bump.
22. Hello Mr. Manning. You say London, your avatar says Portsmouth. Is a case, gigbag included? Would you courier at buyers cost? Presume that says Made In Japan on headstock? The answers may help you sell. Nice to see a Miller at a sensible price. GLWTS
23. The only relevant colours listed for this model, American, June 2000/July 2003 are 51 (Sky Blue) and 74 (Aqua marine metallic). Looking at the colour chart, it is surprising that Sky Blue appears a shade darker than Sonic Blue. They are all a pig to photograph.
24. The world's gone a bit daft really hasn't it!. This is a superb, American jazz, not very old. It's out at less than at least 2 Japanese jazz basses and yet it is still here. Crazy. GLWTS.
