  1. Thanks guys, reluctant sale but I've had more interest in this in a few hours than I've had in the Fender Japan in nearly a week.
  2. Gutted but I need to get some money. It's taken me years to finally get one of these but I now REALLY need to sell a few things. These have been long discontinued apart from a very short run about 5 years ago. There is currently a used one in Sweden, on Reverb, at a very ambitious £681 +£93 delivery! Excellent condition apart from 3 cymbal nibbles & 1 little scratch on the back. Strings are a little tired. Vol/vol/master tone (with push/pull treble cut for full fat neck woofer), from brown note to R**********r -esque clank. 9lb 5oz, lovely fast 40mm nut, neck like a Nate Mendel. Beautifully built. https://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/el_basses/bb714bs/index.html#product-tabs Feedback linked after photos. Will courier for extra £44 (£18 + VAT of that is insurance). UK mainland or organise your own collection. Or collection from Darlington. Sorry, no trades. No gigbag or case included in price (extra £20 for basic Ritter gigbag if required). Cheers, Karl.
  3. Cheers Jono. Tom, folk from Teesside are blocked cos they're a bit peculiar 😆 It is Daphne Blue, but it's a tricky colour to photograph. In the original post it looks quite dark. This Fender Japan model of bass is very uncommon in UK/EU, even more so in Daphne Blue, usually white ones, occasional Sunburst or black. TV logo, 40mm nut, KiOGon loom, what's not to like 🙂
  4. Thanks lads. Since I had to move back to the north east just over a year ago, I've learnt over 80 new (for me to play) songs, for 3 different bands. Band 1. Did 7 gigs with them, after the last one I rang the gaffer on the Sunday morning & told him I was embarrassed to be on the same stage as them. Find somebody new. Band 2. Fabulous (ask @ebenezer ) got two gigs before lockdown, they've now disbanded. Band 3. Current, ok but some big weaknesses. They are happy to take any gig that comes up on reduced or no fees. I ain't. So I'm about ready to give up the struggle & watch Sat night TV.
  5. Shep, no promises but I know a man who was looking. I'll giver him a shout.
  6. Cheers Marc. Paraphrasing some messages from the good folks on Faecesbook, "bad time to sell mate, you're gonna have to come down a lot for me to buy it!". A. No. B. Find another one. 🙂
  7. Cheers Rich, yup, tough times. Pointless me having the amount of gear I have, same as many I guess.
  8. I'm giving up on gigging, it's been almost 8 months, I've lost the need, so selling a good bit over the next couple of weeks. I withdrew this a few weeks back as there was an electrical problem. It now has a custom Ki0Gon loom with 2 x CTS 250k pots, Sprague NOS 0.1 cap (for vintage tone) & Switchcraft jack. Original, non working loom included. Frets have just been polished. The White (yuk) scratchplate has some vinyl over the top in black marble. Not the greatest job, but ok from more than a couple of feet away. It will peel off leaving no residue if buyer chooses to do so. 2004, alder body, maple neck, rosewood board. Nut 40mm (same as a Nate). 9lb 3oz, nice low to medium action. Comes with basic Ritter gigbag. Small chip on bass side of neck, 7th fret, which I can't feel when playing. Otherwise very good condition. These are uncommon basses in UK/Europe. COURIER. £47 next day insured delivery mainland UK except Highlands & Islands, feel free to organise & pay for your own. Feedback below photos. Keep safe & thanks for looking, Karl.
  9. I'm giving up on gigging, it's been almost 8 months, I've lost the need, so selling a good bit over the next couple of weeks. Excellent condition with 2 or 3 finish chips, has 4/8ohms or 2 ohms switch. Made in USA. Price is collection from Darlington, extra £26 next day delivery mainland UK except Highlands & Islands. Feel free to organise/pay for your own courier. Apologies for dreadful photos, feedback linked under them. Keep safe folks.
  10. Gutted, my fave band for a long time due to Gary Thain. I remember Ken starting Rainbow Demon at Newcastle City Hall, with a sandwich sticking out of his gob. You'll be missed fella.
  11. Dayglo pink leads also stop light fingered guitarists 😉
  12. I know times are hard but that's an absolute steal. Mine can be used for gentle practice or illegal fracking depending on the circumstances. Fabulous amp, scary price.
  13. Simply outstanding as ever. Quality product, lovely helpful bloke, great service. Thanks John, not only has this loom sorted the problem but it has definitely made the bass sound better as the components are so much better than stock. Until the next time.
  14. Withdrawn. Seems my advert is in Huttese, as folk don't understand it.
  15. Excellent amps, super versatile & floor thumping powerful. A bargain head that will always have enough beans & tone. And if Dood bought one.............................. 'nuff said. GLWTS Dood.
  16. Been up for a couple of weeks now last bump for a while. I will see what happens on FeeBay.
