SOLD-Rare Fender Precision Special 1980 Lake Placid Blue-price drop!

I had the same issue as you couple of years back. Got a bullet curly and never looked back. Pricey but worth it's weight in gold over the last 100 or so gigs.

Thanks chaps. Update. The proffered Rick exchange was sold, the chap doesn't want to buy this Fender. Stingrays. Neither quite the right deal and nut width a bit of a challenge. Sterling different matter of course . The Spanish Welsh and German contingent have gone quiet. Thanks for the discussion Mike, but the Urge has 3 pups. That would terminally confuse the family braincell. So, still listening to offers.

Just relieved Martyn of his Yam Att Special. I should never have sold mine, fabulous gigging tool. Now got one again . Effortless transaction with Martyn. Top guy. If he ever has something up for sale that you are after, don't hesitate, just buy it. All the best fella and many thanks, Karl.

Don't be shy, 400 Scottish pounds (topical ) and your greenest Mr. Osborne wouldn't go amiss! Seriously though, thanks for the bump but it is currently looking possible to be turned into a Welsh Rick 4003 next week. Unless the chaps buyer turns up tomorrow in which case the Rick seller will probably trouser the money and forget about me . Edit. Guilty pleasure 70's disco funk. Step this way sir
Fender vintage basses have only gone up in value in recent years, especially the 70s Jazz Basses. If you want a 70s JB in Germany in a music store you will hardly find any under 3000€ (in original condition).
And that really must continue as 50's and 60's basses become even more scarce. Stands to reason that the next relatively affordable vintage Fenders will be the 70's ones. Bump again

OK, I had a query about the price. They were $2200 dollars in 2002. Usually, dollars in the US equate to about £'s by the time they get to Britain, with taxes, import, carriage etc. So, if you could have found a new one in Britain when they came out, I would guess they would have been upwards of about £1800. Can't actually find any new one sold in Britain, but my internet detection skills are up there with Clouseau's

Glorious Clarky, everything a bass should be. What folks need to remember is with older basses, there are going to be less opportunities as people start to use 70's basses as investments. Some people are asking pushing a grand for relatively recent Japanese basses. 50's and 60's Fenders come up rarely and at generally difficult prices for most of us to justify spending on a bass. This is where 70's basses fit in. It's a lot of money, but good value and somebody will come along with the loot required and the mindset of great bass, playable bass, value bass and valueable bass. Now, who amongst you gets Christmas bonuses . GLWTS

Further pm's replied. When one pm's it, would be nice if one bumped . Interest from Germany and Spain on this one. C'mon England Attempts at slightly better photos, bass is really in excellent condition, but the lighting shows I need to get a polishing! Yamaha Attitude Special - Gone Pending The Formalities

At the creamery and no "helps play like butter gags" yet? What is the world coming to

PM's replied. Always tricky with Fender, but as I understand it (happy to be corrected) the serial numbers were 00001 to 01000 over the four colours that were made. People are advertising the STANDARD USA 75 RI at £1250 and upwards now they are discontinued. Not suggesting to buy this as an investment, but I would be surprised if they ever fall in price. Cheers, Karl.

Yamaha Attitude Special - Gone Pending The Formalities
I bought Karl's one and its an awesome bass! Lovely neck and I've upgraded to dimarzio's does make me crave a 'proper' attitude! That looks great in black!
Having had a "proper" Attitude, I preferred this model tbh. This has a thinner nut, the proper one is a baseball bat and the x tender doesn't help the already present neck dive on the "proper" one. As for two outputs, I've never had two amps . Scalloped frets, I'm not allowed up the dusty end. The Dimarzio's are a good move though. The pups on these are good, the pups on the "proper" model are sensational. More growl than a p'd off Rottweiler . You lot better be quick, I only live about 10 miles from Martyn, they may be a pick up offer going in anytime . If it had been green it would already be gone! -
REDUCED TO £1100 2002 very limited edition US jazz, rare bass. Hopefully attached is a link to Talkbass. Mine is serial number 00167, in very good nick. Not had it long, but it is far too precious for me to use in the gigs we play. Will take a Fiesta Red, road worn series Mex jazz in part ex. Bass is in Wigan, would like [s]£1200 [/s]£1100 cash collected. The following link shows one exactly the same with the specification, on a thread on T***bass. 2002 Fender USA FSR 75RI Jazz Bass- Candy Apple Red- Matching Headstock- 1 of 250 - TalkBass Forums Original case, both ashtrays included. Struggling to get in to little room for photos as my Ma is occupying it at the moment. No PAINPal, bank transfer, cleared cheque or cash in grubby paw please. If you do not live on these shores and wish to buy it, you will need to organise your own courier and insurance. My last two have gone to Sweden and Germany, so it is possible. UK mainland courier will be about £35 including full insurance. Anybody close to Wigan please feel free to come and try and my feedback is at bottom of post. Hello Clint, sorry to but in but I noticed you had had a look at my profile. I guessed it maight be because I have a FSR 2002 Candy Apple Red, matching headstock , with ashtrays,75 jazz RI for sale on Bass market UK. It may go up on here yet (I am fully paid up for adverts). I am going to attempt to attach a bit from Talkbass, plus some poor photos of mine to help with your research. I am sad to admit that since you put up photos of the 64 in Sea Foam, I am bessoted with the colours of that custom shop jazz, so may put a bit more effort into selling this and my Status. Good luck with what you decide and hope this helps, cheers, Karl. EDIT, sorry, this is the Factory Special Run, American bass, spec in following link.
