Fender Telecaster Bass1977 for sale or trade
karlfer replied to RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE's topic in Basses For Sale

Met up with Jamie this afternoon when he purchased my Geddy. Really nice guy, decisive and did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do iyt. Faultless transaction folks so deal with confidence. My only regret was I couldn't stay a bit longer. The thought of hitting the M5/M6North junction at 5pm on a weekday was scaring me Top bloke, thanks for everything Jamie and enjoy. Cheers, Karl.

Fender Precision 1975 great condition- REDUCED
karlfer replied to Muzomatt's topic in Basses For Sale
It is an absolute bargain, but with respect, I do think some decent photos, especially of pots/pups, would help immensely. Also of date on end of neck, as B necks are quite rare. Sorry, not trying to be rude, but even at this excellent price, it's a lot of money for people to be persuaded to part with. Also, perhaps it is mentioned in your previous thread, but is courier an option? I have a US 75 RI Jazz, there is one of those, 2nd hand, on FEEBay for £1250. That shows how good a price you have this P out at. GLWTS, Karl. -
ive never yet heard of a punter coming up at a gig and asking to see the back of an instrument to check for buckle rash and if they did would your bass skills diminish in their esteem if your bass was all scabby like?
My bass skills diminish in their esteem when we do the first number! -
I wish the eBay iPhone and iPad apps would actually show me items located in the UK when I ask for it. Unless Poughkeepsie and Genoa have secretly ceded from their conventional countries to join the United Kingdom, they are failing dismally.
These lot want more for a second hand one than a new one would cost delivered. No wonder they are too pig ignorant to answer my emailed question. I suppose at least it got them to change the ad from "new other" to "used". How do these prices compare to reality?
karlfer replied to Annoying Twit's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
But if we don't exist, how can it be your Little Pony? How can something that patently does exist, belong to somebody who doesn't? Why does my one brain cell hurt, should I give it back to the wife (she definitely exists ) -

Aha, Falkirk, I remember, Behind The Wall. Knew it was a daft name. -

Can't remember the name. Pub in Falkirk town centre, side road, little pay car park opposite, Very busy pub. Bands play upstairs. Raised stage right next to the bogs entrance. Perfect for drunken numpties to fall UPWARDS onto stage knocking bass players and bass into back wall Or pissed sound engineer in Preston, falling over, knocking two basses out of stands, onto rims of bass drums. A couple of a myriad. I've never damaged any of my basses, there's plenty of other muppets to do it for you -
My useless memory Karl, just visited your feedback page, only to find I commented on it at the time
Didn't like to say , but I was very grateful for your comments!

So even 20 years ago, they made the odd good one in Mexico then
That is a worry, didn't occur to me that any of that had gone on here.
Extremely rare Gary, but it happened to me. See page two of my feedback. He HAS in fairness changed his behaviour since then, but he had negative feedback from me and two others. He also tried to screw Ash, who was much wiser. This guy changed his member name last December, losing his negative feedback. Mine was still on my feedback, still is, despite asking mods to remove his comments. So, yes, rare, but it happens.
I guess I wouldn't leave feedback cause I don't even know where you'd do it. Here's the thing with feedback though...I find it's either too flattering or too dismissive. In other words, most of it is useless. If someone is easily impressed or someone just wants to knock you down what's to be gained? Few people can critique music objectively, since taste, is subjective. I'll say this about what I heard. It's nice enough. Well perfomred. Professional. Bass playing sounds good. I didn't find it especially captivating, but it's hard to get into music you never heard before. The bass had too much low end. I get that you want it up front but if it's loud and boomy it just sounds amateurish. The kick drum also shared the sonic space of the bass ( a boost around 300hz) and that made things more woofy. It's not the type of thing that's getting record contracts, not to mention the age factor. But at a certain point, music has to be about making art and/or entertaining others. Getting angry because they aren't paying attention isn't the best PR toward getting more fans. That's my feedback. In part.
Completely missing the point. Feedback is vitally important (especially for gear tarts). People who do not leave it are lazy and discourteous. Negative feedback is also important. The only other thing about it that narks me is con artist members changing their name to get rid of the bad feedback they have had (you know who you are pal ).
...Nothing is real.
So nothing is real, therefore if you were to give me your custom P bass you would be giving me nothing, so I would have to give you nothing for it. So I'll be round in the morning to collect it
