FEEBay is quiet a dangerous place to take value guesstimates. Obviously price is inflated as people take into account what fees they are going to get charged between FEEBay and PAINPal. On £1200 current charges are about £116. The main thing is though, many of them are out at these prices, for months on end, without selling. That to me suggests people are asking too much for them in the current marketplace. Then of course you get the further complication of 4001 being slightly more desirable because they are all vintage now. Personally, if it was a bass I really wanted, I would go through my reasoning with him and offer him £1000. But that is just my opinion. Good luck, Karl.

Thanks for the kind offers Nick and Jamie, but as it is almost new apart from that damn headstock chip, I am going to hold out for either a very good trade offer (Fiesta Red Road Worn J or P , bit of loot your way, hint ), or the £560 plus courier, or £530 collected without bag/case. The bass plus case was £840. At £560 I'm losing £280 (33%) on a year old bass and case in very good condition. A lot of folk seem to think a year old bass is worth nearly as much as a new one. Fortunately, I don't . So if neither of the above prices happen, I will just keep it for a few years, when I would guess it will still be worth around £500 as long as I look after it. Good luck in your search chaps and thanks again. DON'T FORGET peeps, I am only using the hardcase to ensure safe delivery. If you don't actually need a hardcase, flog it on locally for about £45, it will more than cover the courier cost Cheers, Karl.
Well done! I've got a PR 7051 and it's a real class bit of kit. And I've just drunkenly bought myself an Ampeg SVP Pro, so let's hear it for Ampeg.
-

No problem for me to organise a courier in the UK Jamie, however; 1. It would need to be fully insured and with Interparcel that would cost a buyer another £29, taking the total up to £589, including hardcase and insured courier delivery. 2. It would need to go to an address where somebody will definitely be in, eg work address, as the courier would need a signature. It is quite possible for somebody to arrange cheaper collection at £10/£15 if they chose not to insure, HOWEVER, I would not accept responsibilty for any damage on an uninsured bass. To me, they are too expensive to not insure in transit. Many thanks, Karl.

Never tried one but they don't look two hand tapping friendly to me. Added to which, I really do think they would look a touch out of place in the gaffs we gig at. No offence to the gaffs, we are old gits and that is what we want to play.
random I know, but any interest in a trade for an orange SP212 plus cash? I'm in Cardiff tho, might involve driving! I so love my black Geddy Jap I would like one in Sunburst too!?!!
Thanks for the offer Mr. Rockwell. I actually had one before. If I still had it and the OBT 500 I used to have, I would have been very interested. Think now that I have the Barefaced, it's unlikely I will ever want another cab though. Again, many thanks and good luck, cheers, Karl.
I think...I'll be reading the post properly... Nope, no use to me.
So Andy, why not just get a LPB Lakland Jones with maple board/mop blocks?

It's in Hove, but will only ship to continental US, but if you are in the Dayton Ohio area you can go and see it A pissed or stupid scammer?

Serious, you only have a few days before you are back at work. Go into SoundsLive and try one, the weight difference and pups are worth it. Mind you, if you get a new one, get one from GAK, lot cheaper than Soundslive (and that's not Sunburst!) http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Fender_Geddy_Lee_Jazz_Bass/FEN-0257702906

Hello all. My Geddy has attracted little interest, I need less basses hence this one going up. 2006, Korean with Fralin. Includes Gator hardcase and mint green (mucky white) scratchplate. Based on Glaub's 1964 Fender Precision. Excellent condition, 2 little dints in back of neck, quite a bit of " certain light" scuffing on the back. Two proper scratches on the back, neither through paint. The markers on the fretboard are the same as on the Sheehan Attitude. They are high quality stick on's that you cannot feel. If you choose to remove them, no residue is left behind. On one of the photos of the back it looks like a lot of scratches. It is actually light shining off the tips of the blades of grass, being reflected in the bass It has a Jason Lollar jazz pick up professionally installed (last owner timmchale2009 got it done) Jazz Bass Pickups JBass It still only has two rotaries, front is concentric. Top part is jazz pup vol, bottom is P pup vol. This apparently means no volume bleed between the two. The back rotary is just a master tone. No PAINPal I'm afraid, cleared cheque, cash on collection or bank transfer. If you are non UK, I will ship, but you will need to sort your own courier and insurance. My feedback is at the bottom of all my posts. Bass is £600 collected from Wigan, or £635 UK couriered/insured. Fell free to sort own courier. POSSIBLE TRADE for Fiesta Red Road Worn jazz. I like Mex basses I owned this bass before and allowed Tim £650 for it against my AV62 RI Jazz, but happy with £600 cash. Any trial in Wigan,no obligation. Many thanks, Karl.
