  1. Not sure where to put this question, Mods feel free to move it obviously. Some local musos have asked me to come to studio jams, just to keep your hand in really. The band I'm in, like most, aren't doing anything so why not every 2 or 3 weeks. Anyway, guitar fella has a Ltd Ed Epi Explorer, everything has to be de-tuned cos he keeps breaking B strings apparently. I've never de-tuned. MY CV 50's Precision has flats on it & my naive thinking is if I detune to D# G# C# F#, the flats will just have a bit less tension (obviously I'll do a set up to this tuning). Am I being dumber than a rock? Cheers.
  2. This was a limited edition of the passive, the last ones before they turned to fully active in 2002. They were only available late 2001/2002. The later history of this model was California Series then Precision Bass Special Deluxe Series (passive) then since 2002 Precision Bass Special Deluxe Series Active (although there have been the occasional FSR Passives since then, mainly for Guitar Centre in the States). This should have had an anodised plate in a sort of smoky silver colour. The limited edition bit was the matte black paint & scratchplate. There was one up in Brum on Bumtree a few weeks back & he wanted £599 collected. Price was £100 too much for me especially with a 350 mile round trip.
  3. Plenty of offers, sadly none from anybody who can read. 🤣
  4. PM's replied. Sorry, if you want it sending to Europe, I will only accept GBP & you will need to organise & pay for courier. It's not difficult.
  5. You do like that dontcha 😁 Really kind Prof, many thanks 😁
  6. No Dunc. One of the beauties of this over the Japanese version is these are a modern C profile same as the American Standard and Mex Player/Standard. 41.3mm nut so not as wide either. Oh and it's obviously a few hundred quid cheaper than the Japanese ones are going for 😁
  7. ❤️
  8. I withdrew it a couple of weeks back as people seemed to want it sending to Cannes, hand delivered by a supermodel, in her under crackers, for £50.
  9. I ******* HATE TECHOLOGY😡😆 The last two pictures (linked under the other pics) you will need to download then open, absolutely no idea why! Discontinued Lake Placid Blue. One stock photo to show how it looks with scratchplate & tugbar, which are included in the sale, they just aren't on coz it looks better! Bass is in super condition I can only find 3 little dinks. One of the first run from 2008 (same run/factory as the much revered Classic Vibe 60's series). No gigbag or case COURIER. £36 INSURED mainland UK, don't blame me, that's the couriers insured cost. Happy for buyer to organise & pay for their own courier. Bass will be bubble wrapped & in a Squier box. No trades or offers than you, imo a bargain. £275 collected from Darlington Thanks for looking. 10. LPB was discontinued a few years ago.
  11. Hmm, nobody in the UK wanted to buy my first run LPB when it was up a couple of weeks back. Guess I gotta take it personally then😂
  12. Fabulous Mark, what a beauty. Keep safe & good luck with the sale mate 🙂 Edit. Actually, if my Sandberg goes, I may well be on my way to Spenny, love those necks.
  13. 12.5 inches. It doesn't look that because the Sandberg has 2 more frets than a standard P. With the hand wound custom pick up & Ki0Gon wiring loom this can thump or clank with the best of Precisions. Shame I need some money but there ya go.
  14. Sandberg Electra VS4 Precision format bass, single pickup bass guitar with a basic gigbag. Condition is excellent but used, hard case in a couple of the pictures is NOT included. COURIER, I can ship to mainland UK. If you want me to do that, it will be an extra £46. Don't blame me, if I send it, it is going to be fully insured with UPS & that's what it costs. FEEL FREE to organise & pay for your own courier. Collection from Darlington preferred, might meet up if you ask nicely. I took this as a part trade when I sold my Warwick Dolphin. This is fully converted to passive. The parts alone for this upgrade would cost £140. All the original fit electronics have been removed (no I don't have them) and a Martin Herrick hand wound custom pickup has been installed. This is a slightly overwound (by about 5%) '58 P bass pickup to the spec used by Steve Harris. This is coupled with the Volume/Tone/Tone PASSIVE circuit that Adam Clayton uses in his sig Warwick Streamer CV. This wiring loom was custom hand made by KiOgon. These upgraded parts are top quality. High mass fully adjustable bridge, zero fret & Plek'd (try and find those features on a bass at this price!), weight 8lb 10oz, nut is 40mm, lovely bass. NO offers thank you, this is an excellent price for a bass of this quality and now a bargain imo (I have feedback on Ebay & Basschat). The basic version of this sells at £631 although they seem a little scarce at the moment. Then of course there is the cost of the upgrade parts & cost of fitting. Keep safe, Karl
  15. I keep coming back to this, it really is a belter Lozz, 'av a bump mate.
  16. Cheers Mark. Unfortunately all those interested seem to want it delivering for £200, by Jeanine Mason ( I had to Google) in her under crackers. Or variations thereof. Same with the Classic Vibe 50's Precision. I'm withdrawing both from here tonight, leaving this one on FeeBay at £550 delivered as there are 11 watchers. I'm just fed up of dealing with daft requests.
  17. It was mine Andy, as soon as you mentioned James, I remembered picking it up from him in Warrington, he gave me two excellent CDs of his then current band. I tried it in his home studio. My memory is worrying me! I sold it cos I was skint, it didn't have the East then. Wonderful bass you lucky guy 😜
  18. ESP Phoenix?
