80's Washburn B-20, looks lovely.
karlfer replied to winterfire666's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Ahh that was Bandland on the corner of Dovecot and Prince Regent Street. They were/are a mainly TAMA/Ibanez outlet, they're still going strong, though long gone from that location, the guy who owns it, (Peter Webster) is a decent enough bloke.
As soon as you mentioned the name.... well done that man, it had been nagging me for days -

Thanks gents. Back in the world of Basschat after a sun drenched, midge infested week in a cottage (sauna) in the Severn Valley. Call yourselves midges? Pah, I lived in Scotland for 13 years, I wave my genitals at you pathetic excuses for midges (not literally, obviously ). And I missed a piggin Pink Jazz while I was away Bump edit, spelling, shock horror

Can't honestly remember. It was a corner shop on a street that ran parallel to Stockton High St, but a couple of hundred yards back from it, on the Darlington side -

New song from All The Queens Ravens (Clarky's lot)
karlfer replied to Clarky's topic in General Discussion
Nice one Clarky, good luck with the album.
Couldn't agree more, well done that lot -
Many thanks Tim, very kind. Yup, it's a beauty. Got a bit of a Steve Harris white P fixation going on so this is up. Might end up getting a slab body, licensed neck and some artwork. Surprisingly not a lot of interest in the Glaub , but not the end of the world if I'm stuck with it. My two basses ideal didn't last long

Yup, did a few bits in Europe in the 80's with one of these strapped on. Hideous neck dive, thunderous sound. I'm going to have a punt on this one as well. Saw it yesterday couldn't believe it, first one I've seen for years. Gentlemen, start your engines. Oh and there's an Ibby Destroyer up at the moment. I got one of those early 80's (P/J unlike this one) and the shop in Stockton told me it was the first in the UK. Bet they said that to all the boys -

Top bloke. Space Ritual for me as well. Got pissed with him and Fast Eddie at the bar in Middlesbrough Rock Garden when they did their first tour for the first album. Get well guv'nor.

Gorgeous 1996 Fender Japan Precision
karlfer replied to karlfer's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Thanks LB. I have only dealt with him by email. He seems a real nice guy. I was gutted when I got the photos and it was a rosewood board. -
This still here Karl?
Hope so Tom or I'm buggered for tonight's gig Whilst I'm on, I have really no idea what happened to photo number 2. Photo's numbers 1 and 4 are much more representative of the condition of the bass, ie very good. Hopefully my feedback will over- ride any concerns, however, it doesn't seem right to delete that photo once it's been put up. Cheers, Karl.
