1. Genius ad Now, some much better photos please
2. I'm hoping some bugger outbids me on this one
3. As you well know illustrious mentor of Orange valve changes, he's talking cobblers It's a bog standard run Hot Rod, with a couple of bits of cheap tin that will go in the bottom drawer with the others
4. Cheers Andy. My efforts to get down to two basses lasted, erm, one piggin week
5.
He says he's 99% sure it's a one piece body but even i can see the join on the back view....
Yup, but it's still a fabulous looking bass, a great P/J
6. You know that moment when you see a fabulous bass and the lust mist descends? I'm leading the bidding on this. Not going any higher because I just got a bit carried away. Not the end of the world if I don't get outbid http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261232242342?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
7.
Any idea on the age of this amp, I believe the newer ones had the loud D.I problem sorted. I owned one of these and the Ad200 loved both, very tempted by this.....
The valves being changed should have sorted that.
8. Great amps, louder than them TC, Genz Benz equivalents. Only thing I have used that was louder was an EBS TD650 and that brought aircraft down
9. This may well have sold by now if you had put some good photos up
10. Excellent price for an excellent bass. I have seen some put these up for £700+ on Feebay. GLWTS, Karl.
11.
Ask him if it weighs a quarter of a ton. If it does, it might be a genuine 78... Seriously, though, it doesn't look right to me - my 78 was, as Ash says, block and bound. I'd like to see the neck plate, too - should be a micro-tilt. No bullet truss rod adjuster, either...nope, the more I looky, the less I likey...
Good spot Muzz!
12. Cheers Ash. I'm also thinking ebony board and 62'RI stackpots not right as I didn't think the first 62 RI's were until late 80's?
13. Very tempted by this but something doesn't ring true. Any thoughts please? Cheers, Karl. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130933892252?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
14.
I assume you create a new topic in the For Sale section and it will walk you through the process
This.
15.
Geezer, the personification of 'deadpan'. It's a nice bass but I don't really get the striped pickguard.
Yup, he was brilliant in that interview
16. And while we are at it, something nagging me about this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271225104650?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
17. Geezer,NAMM 2013, interesting comments at 1.30 to 1.50. Wants to be good at $4300 http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&ved=0CDsQtwIwAg&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DTpdc5wLiWAk&ei=z0vDUfrfLMPChAf2mIDoDA&usg=AFQjCNEYv2eMn_dRJ9czBTrKsee0Wu0UHg&bvm=bv.48175248,d.ZG4
18. Staggering this bass is still here. I'm glad I'm 200 miles away or I could be in trouble again. Bump.
19. Is this the same PB62-72AB that's on t'bay at the moment bump?
20. Calming down a bit, I guess I could source a pickguard like that (Bass Doc hopefully). I can very probably get similar inlay/headstock stickers from CC in the States. I have a black Skyline Glaub with Fralin, as a weekend warrior of only 45 ish gigs per year, I can't afford or justify a US Lakky. The Skylines are superb anyway.
21. Graham. no idea apart from the cosmetics. Dingus, I have an email received from Lakland this afternoon. No plans, period, for a Skyline.

Gone

Ash, hope you don't mind mate but I have put your ad on the Faecesbook page for Yamaha Attitude owners. It has more than a passing resemblance to Billy's "The Wife" and I would hate to think one of his die hard fans missed out. Cheers, Karl. edited for spelling as usual
23. I love Lakland basses. I have waited 30 years for a Geezer signatue model. Lakland are doing one. US spec only at mega bucks. No Skyline for us weekend warriors.
