karlfer replied to bassrob's topic in Basses For Sale
He didn't say so I thought we'd go without the middle ground! Rosewood neck, case, not a mark etc. Good for £600. Jealous now.
It's in the title of his ad, Stingray 4, 3 eq. Please tell me I'm right and I'm going no more insane , than usual -

SOLD - Fender '70s Precision Bass (Olympic White)
karlfer replied to tricky's topic in Basses For Sale
Might be talking at cross purposes here... for sure there are OW + RW 70s (PB70) Fender Japan p-basses which they've been making since the mid 90s. One of mine's got the body of one. but then a couple of years or so back Fender US issued a 70s p-bass (Classic Series) which came in TSB / OW + Maple + Blocks. Think the original run was Japanese and then it looks like they switched to Mexico. http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 Good old Fender.. too many models
Absolutely spot on. Hopefully in the following link is one that was sold earlier. Confirmation the original run late2011/early2012 were Crafted in Japan. It's about post 3 or 4. Musicman Stingray 4 3eq mint with Musicman case
karlfer replied to bassrob's topic in Basses For Sale
Shame, he seems to have gone. Good price and interested parties (even if I'm too thick to work out who is who). Maybe he's now sold it and so that was his life on here. Leaves us all still here. Wondering what a honeyburst Stingray looks like. And its official case. oh well.
-

how long should I wait before I start asking for moderator help?
Why don't you go round his recent posts start quoting them and asking for some attention , he may get the hint if he is following some threads , it probably is a bit dodgy forum ettiquette , but might just kick something into life
The bad guy deserves dodgy forum ettiquette. There's a bloke on here flipping two basses at an attempted profit over his buying prices of £800+ That is bad enough. THIS LENGTH OF TIME to get a bass sent is not bad enough, it is totally UNACCEPTABLE. Name and let him explain! -
£20 delivery, I've just posted a Bass in a proper box for £7.50
Is that with insurance? I find Interparcel as cheap as that, until you put the insurance on.

Our drummer is outside waiting for the AA man because he has a puncture and removing the virtually welded on alloy is beyond the strength of the 4 of us. But that was last night. Brilliant vid, cheers for that -
Hi there BC! For sale is my baby. I'll be sad to see it go, but financially I can't afford to have the amount of instruments that I do just lying around. I'm looking for £650 collected for this bad boy. Sadly delivery/courier is not avaiable due to lack of shipping resources. http://i47.tinypic.com/2d6v1p1.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/14iperq.jpg
Go to Halfords, ask them for a used bike box. Go to B and Q get a roll of bubble wrap. Advertise the bass as £30 insured courier delivery, paid for by buyer (that is UK price). When sold, book it in through Interparcel (incuded in £30 is payment for £750 insurance). It's a tough market. Restricting yourself to a tiny part of the UK won't help you. With the greatest of respect, if you want to sell it, you will need to put your back into it. Good luck, Karl.

Yup, one of my ex basses. Very nice piece of kit and James was a great guy to deal with. Was sold by me on FEEBay mid last year, to raise funds for my next "must have", whatever that was at the time . Only major thing I can see missing from your ad is if you will take any trades against the bass. Someone will ask. Good luck with the sale James. Cheers, Karl.
I literally went from elation to despair reading that post. Edit: I'm not wild about the pickguard - but that's easily changed, I do love the 5th fret inlay
I emailed last night, asking the question. I had a reply back within an hour despite them being busy in NAMM. Looking at various threads on here, Facebook and probably TB, I reckon they would be daft not to!!!
