1.
Ah but Karl, you know what you like.
Yeah, but sadly Amanda Righetti ain't for sale . I did ask! Ash, I'll bow out, I'm just a worthless gear tart anyway. Luke, yours is so much nicer but Santa ain't gonna be that kind to me, ever
2. Just with the P/J pups, P/J controls, slim looking nut and good hardware. Didn't know there were JV's like that. There again, I know nowt about nowt Thanks lads, Karl.
3.
Lol, he would have been if he wasn't a woman
He was only a woman through the week
4. Can anybody tell anything from these photos? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150968893708?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
5. Bolton, Lancashire, it's in his classified advert. Living in Wigan, I wish I hadn't looked
6. Yeah, the only doubt in my mind about it being a JB was it seemed to have normal Rick controls, vol, vol, tone, tone, selector switch. Most of the JB's I have seen have had 6/8 rotaries.
7. Cheers Bug Stu, that is the very one!!! Told Her Who Must Be Ignored it was a John birch. What a fabulous looking bass Karl.
8. Yeah, that "Rick"? difficult to see but, impressions. 1. Bridge in wrong place. 2. Pick up next to bridge. 3. Headstock sloping backwards. Answers on a postcard!!!!
9. WHAT WAS THAT "RICK"? and yes I know I'm shouting!!!!
10. Thanks lads, very tempted and it's only 20 miles away. Going to have a think, but if it goes, well, no prob. Reality is there is a rather rare Warwick on here that I have my eye on. The last one very similar went on FEEBay for £475. I would go to £600, but he is wanting quite a bit mpore than that and I ain't gonna lowball him. Decisions decisions
11. Thinking very strongly about selling soul/next doors cat for this one. Any thoughts/dangers peeps? Cheers in advance, Karl. 12. Paul has been absolutely great to deal with. Very decisive, did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Even took the trouble to ring up and say he was delighted with the bass. Heartily recommended peeps, deal with confidence. All the best Paul and many thanks.
13. Bloody 'ell, hope my Schroeder sells as quick when my Super Twelve V arrives. Dean you better not get yours before mine arrives or it will be a pint of maggots down your Y fronts in the wee small hours
14.
Another who doesn`t know his amp from his elbow.
15. I love the Fortress Flashback, one of only two Warwicks I would like (other is Thumb bolt on). Just one question, erm how does a strap go on it? Karl.
16. Don't you lot go hacking Bert off, he knows about Uranium
17. Stunning. One came up on FEEBay about 3 months ago and I just missed out on it. Good luck with the sale.
18. I recently got a bass in a trade. Fender Deluxe P body with a Status neck, I call it my Fender Stat. The neck is an absolute revelation frankly. As others have said, improved stability, sustain, harmonics, even- ness and a complete joy to play. My US Precision and Lakland DJ4 have been my back up basses but I don't think they will ever get the chance to gig anymore since this arrived.
19. You see this all the time. Latest I noticed was a 4 year old Highway1 at £850. Good thing we don't have to buy isn't it
20.
******* has posted the following wanted ad which may interest you: Double bass & string quartet wanted: fusion e, I'm a drummer composer not looking to join an existing band but to co-form a new post-jazz based group as a side project that will ostensibly be a fusion based acoustic symphonic / chamber music ensemble with double bass and strings. , In truth, I'm not at all sure what post-jazz is (Bilbo, can you help?) but this is probably not ... erm ... me.
