1. Thanks lads, very tempted and it's only 20 miles away. Going to have a think, but if it goes, well, no prob. Reality is there is a rather rare Warwick on here that I have my eye on. The last one very similar went on FEEBay for £475. I would go to £600, but he is wanting quite a bit mpore than that and I ain't gonna lowball him. Decisions decisions
2. Thinking very strongly about selling soul/next doors cat for this one. Any thoughts/dangers peeps? Cheers in advance, Karl. 3. Paul has been absolutely great to deal with. Very decisive, did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Even took the trouble to ring up and say he was delighted with the bass. Heartily recommended peeps, deal with confidence. All the best Paul and many thanks.
4. Bloody 'ell, hope my Schroeder sells as quick when my Super Twelve V arrives. Dean you better not get yours before mine arrives or it will be a pint of maggots down your Y fronts in the wee small hours
5.
Another who doesn`t know his amp from his elbow.
6. I love the Fortress Flashback, one of only two Warwicks I would like (other is Thumb bolt on). Just one question, erm how does a strap go on it? Karl.
7. Don't you lot go hacking Bert off, he knows about Uranium
8. Stunning. One came up on FEEBay about 3 months ago and I just missed out on it. Good luck with the sale.
9. I recently got a bass in a trade. Fender Deluxe P body with a Status neck, I call it my Fender Stat. The neck is an absolute revelation frankly. As others have said, improved stability, sustain, harmonics, even- ness and a complete joy to play. My US Precision and Lakland DJ4 have been my back up basses but I don't think they will ever get the chance to gig anymore since this arrived.
10. Bargain!!!!
11. You see this all the time. Latest I noticed was a 4 year old Highway1 at £850. Good thing we don't have to buy isn't it
12.
******* has posted the following wanted ad which may interest you: Double bass & string quartet wanted: fusion e, I'm a drummer composer not looking to join an existing band but to co-form a new post-jazz based group as a side project that will ostensibly be a fusion based acoustic symphonic / chamber music ensemble with double bass and strings. , In truth, I'm not at all sure what post-jazz is (Bilbo, can you help?) but this is probably not ... erm ... me.
Jack, run!
13. Be prepared for 27 +1s
14. Brilliant Luke. This ad should be sent to everybody who puts up "bass for sale, call 00000 123456"
15. OK, my spirit is tormented. I will be getting my Barefaced in a few days. Despite it being doomed to failure, I must put this proposition to you LC. My Schroeder 410 BMF for this jazz and I will bring the Schro to you. Damn you having 2 SP 212's!!! Mind, they do show the black marks and you may wish to keep them for Sunday best . Anyway, bump and the opportunity to reply and bump
16. Its was still up on FEEBay couple of hours ago, not checked sincce.
17. Darlington Civic, 1967, I was 9. Seen them about 40 times since. The party night out band, even with some of the silly stuff. Railroad and Gerdundula still two of my faves ever. By the left, bounce please.
18. Right, stop it, you are all being silly Serious answer, go to basses for sale forum and do a search for American deluxe 5 string jazzes. Do the same on FEEBay and draw your own conclusions. Arrive at a ball park figure then make your own decision about how much the signature is worth to YOU. Remember, if you come to sell it, the signature is unlikely to make it worth much more. Good luck. Karl.
19. I really wanna do Coz I luv u with twin guitars taking the violin parts, but guitards won't have it . That thumping Gibbo with Jim attached to it in so many tracks is just wondrous stuff!
20.
It's the twat that wandered up to my mic stand on Sat night mid song , took my pint out of it's holder and necked it that minded me to start this thread. What a pillock. Our roadie saw him off , thankfully . Marc just said to him - 'that bloke who's property you just stole in front of his nose to look big in front of your mates ....... he's going to keep smiling and entertaining these other good folk for another 45 minutes then he's gonna come down here and beat f*** out of you in front of them while we all laugh , you stupid little prick'. He papped himself and fled !!!!
Brilliant Can we borrow Marc Dave
21. For crying out loud peeps, get this stunning jazz bought. Mind, if it's still here after I put my Schro up?????

This really is a steal peeps, can't believe it's still here
23. I ordered mine (without tweeter) 2 weeks ago.
24.
It wasn't some sort of Fender Jazz was it? With a matching headstock? Guy was a total chancer, cheeky and not in keeping with all of the other excellent communications/transactions I've been involved with on this forum. I suppose sooner or later (statistically) you're going to come across a muppet. He also contacted me AFTER I had sold the bass asking if wanted to buy his outright...
No, not the same one. It is still up for sale, at £100 less than original asked, for three days only It is a stunning bass, but I specifically stated only up for sale to raise funds for the Desert Gold Bongo. It's no big deal, I just pm'd the chap back politely informing him I had a wish to raise loot, not spend more. It does however show, that sort of thing happens.
25.
It annoys me when you say 'no trades' and then someone wastes your time with PMs that say 'I'll swap your £400 bass for my £1500 with you giving me £1100 cash'... Erm, no!

Who does that anyway? never even heard of one of these. lol. i thought the point of a sale was 1.to raise cash. 2. To make room. 3. To upgrade. I mean seriously, if you say no trades, i would assume it's either 1 or 2. That guy would be a full on chancer who can't be bothered even to create an ad to sell his bass.
That exact same thing happened with me last week when I had my Precision Deluxe/Status up for sale for a short time. Their bass advertised at £1399, mine at £600. I would have had to find about £830 Mine was only up for sale to grab the afore mentioned Desert Gold Bongo, which I missed out on. Karl.
