  1. Super bass. Super bloke. Better photographer than me as well 😂 Somebody is going to get a great bass, all the best Dan.
  2. These were the fore runner of the California series, Highway 1/One, American Special, Performer so as with all those, this Traditional Series has a slightly different spec to the US Standard. Part of that, in this case, is less frets.
  3. Top fella to deal with, buy with confidence!
  4. Met up with Wayne today in a military two step social distancing dance around the back of my van, gloves & lubricants involved😜. Since the start he's been decisive & a joy to work with. Fully recommended by Hermann Munster's stunt double. Enjoy the bass fella, many thanks again & keep safe, cheers, Karl.
  5. Very reluctant to put this lovely Elite up, but the Sandberg doesn't look like it's going anywhere at this moment.. This bass has had a stack knob conversion, totally passive, with a series/parallel switch, which really makes the middle pick up very Precision like. KiOgon passive stack knob, serial/parallel loom. I traded my lovely Walnut 4003s for this late last year. With no gigs, I can't afford all these expensive basses lurking, & two of the others I REALLY need to keep. Weight is 9lb 6oz This is Neil's (artisan's) original advert (he knows I'm going to link it when I put it up for sale). The Elite will be cleaned/sanitised before anybody gets it. The original pre-amp/controls are also included. Lovely compound radius neck. Lovely compound radius fretboard. String through body, truss rod wheel, the replacement Ultra does not have these features. Original hard case included. Bass & case in excellent condition. I can't courier this at the moment but willing to meet half way, as far as Nottingham (east side), Keble (west side). Similar distances North of Darlington. NB. The Sandberg is on FEEBAY at £1100 BIN delivered mainland UK. If that goes there, this will be immediately removed from sale. If this sadly goes first, the Sandberg will be removed. Feedback linked after pictures. Keep safe, thanks for looking, Karl.
  6. Last bump kinda thing. Now on FeeBay at £1100 BIN including UK mainland delivery (they have a £1 final fee offer on 😄).
  7. NOW £950 cash price (collected or meet within 100 miles of Darlington) £950 couriered IF buyer organises & pays for courier £1100 trade value.
  8. Bugger, I missed this last time & don't have the readies this time! 😭
  9. Let's hope! So far it's managed 120 miles on the Autobahn, in 5 days.
  10. Still currently here although I will be making a decision on this bass soonish.
  11. Hmm, ordered last Thursday, it's staggered as far as Frankfurt today. Not exactly scintillating.
  12. Complicated release dates on this. First recorded in the Look at yourself sessions, in 1971, an 11 minute studio jam epic. The second, long version recorded in early 1972 in the Demons and Wizards sessions. The 3rd version is the B side, single version, which was edited down from the Demons sessions. Writing credits to Box/Byron/Hensley/Newton. My guess would be Newton played the simple one & God Thain played the other one (both edits).
  13. Space Ritual. Sometimes only a Lemmy will do 😁
  14. Lots of trade offers. 3 folk "if I can sell X in time". I may be able to courier by the end of the week, however if it doesn't go in the next few days I may remove & keep it. You might think I'm a bit of a ******* for not selling the LE Roasted, but once I withdraw they usually stay that way. Ask the two lads who regularly mail me about my CS Dusty Hill. Withdrawn about 2 years ago & staying that way 😁
  15. Excellent basses & those upgraded pups will make it even better! This colour looks great with a mirror scratchplate as well 🙂
  16. Top bloke. Superb bass. Terrific price. Should have been gone by now. 🤔
  17. Don't do it. Despite these being a production model, there aren't many about. 5 years or so back, the odd one that came up was about £500 used. Now the odd one that comes up is usually around £900/£1000. One loony tune had one up on eBay a few months back at £2200. They haven't been made since about 2012 I think. It's not all about the money, it's the importance of Steve's blue P especially in the 80s and whilst it's only a personal opinion, these particular basses should really be kept original as a part of rock music history.
  18. There follows a copy & paste from my Facebook advert, couple of guys discussing this bass. All public domain, on my sales advert. Gary Abell That’s my old bass 👍 Alan Jolliffe She's a beauty Gary Abell Alan Jolliffe really sorry I let it go but the pull of the 69 custom shop P was too much and couldn’t justify both , it truly is a stunning bass used it in loads of studios sounds awesome, someone’s getting a killer bass there Alan Jolliffe Gary Abell if times were different my name could well be on this.... my mate plays Sandbergs and can't speak highly enough of them.... as my band's not gigging at mo can't justify buying another bass even if I sold my other 2 to fund it . no gigs means no new basses. She is a beaut tho Nice words indeed 🙂
