Isn't it just another Explorer copy?
Yeah, shame about that hideous headstock , so much better if it had been P style like the wonderful Explorers John had.

Not really up on these things but just seems like with phone number and expressed preference for collection, the original ad may have been down to inexperience in our ways. Mind, if I go to collect any gear and have cash for it, I always give Attilla the Hen the address I'm going to and expected timetable, just in case. Better safe and feeling a fool, than sorry
I had it the other way about. I'm in a band based a long way from home but the drummer is simply the best and I'd travel wherever I had to in order to work with him. Anyhoo we had the line up sorted all bar the sax. Organised audition for this guy, I drove two hours there for his audition and not only did he not turn up he didn't bother phoning. He lives about 10 minutes from the audition. I told the others there and then row him out. If he can't be bothered to come to an audition he has serious reliability and commitment issues but I was out voted and made the trip again another day so he could try out once more. Long one short: he refuses most gigs we get offered bitches about learning new songs, turns up late and moans about the money all the time. Aren't people great?
Think I'd be tempted with a sharp lift and seperate of the cobblers! There really are some selfish ignorant pricks about. -

Barrie, it's like a job interview. You do the prep, you get it or you don't. Thing is some interviewers are completely unprofessional knobs and the same applies more so with egotistical prats in bands. Hold your head up that you behaved with professionalism and dignity. We should all take happiness from Clarky's recent shenanigans. The right one is waiting for us, we just gotta make the effort and have patience. We all know your rep as a top bass dude. We should all name and shame bands who behave like this and BLACKLIST the ignorant twats. Karl. -

Excellent stuff fella, voted, good luck. Karl. -
It's an absolute beauty, it's on here, the Bay and Gumtree. Lovely maple board , you don't get that with the originals. Mr Hall has already had this one pulled 3 times and sent a snotty email to the Lobster.

OK, looked for this for 5 years as this was the make of bass I used in my nearly glory years (nostalgia is expensive ) No serial number so pre 75. White front, black chequered binding, black sides and back, natural neck and headstock. Issues. Tuners not original, change left holes in back of head stock. Originals are included in sale. Not convinced the jazz rotaries are original although both **** and copies have used them. I know the selector toggle is not original. The big one. Both pups work fine individually, but when both are selected, only one works, so it's a wiring issue. This is reflected in the price. I was going to get this done after next week but circumstances have overtaken me. Inevitably it has a few nicks, chips but it is in superb condition for a bass that is over 37 years old. This was never going to be up for sale, but Her Who Makes Toast by Breathing on Bread has declared back to 4 basses or lose your small genitalia. Reason for sale is I have been extra-ordinarily lucky and this morning I picked up a 1998 FENDER!! Donald "Duck" Dunn Limited Edition Precision. Something has to go. To me, ***** and copies need playing with a pick. I don't play that way now, so this is the one that's gotta go. Will courier to UK after clearance of funds. £400 collected, £425 couriered after clearance of funds (cheque/bank transfer) UK mainland Highlands/Ireland will cost more. Sorry, no PAINPal, abroad only if YOU arrange courier to pick up, and YOU arrange insurance. Apologies. Please check my feedback, any questions fire away, Previous FEEBay sale on the link below. cheers, Karl. SOME WORDS EDITED IN LIGHT OF RECENT EVENTS!!!! Bugger, forgot the trade bit. Only trade considered, EBS NEO LINE, 212, or 210 or 410, 4 ohms, must be immaculate.Ta. http://basschat.co.u...tely-staggered/
Karl, i think you were right about me becoming a gear whore... I want this... even though I have a very similar one sitting 3 feet from me!
It's a slippery slope . Now, regarding my earlier bump, points for spotting the change in my sig . Bump for a fabulous bass!

Dave has just done a 400 mile round trip to pick up what was my Berg HT322. Decisive, did everything he said he would, supremely easy transaction. Absolutely fabulous bloke, deal with confidence. By the way, he is one Hell of a bass guitarist. Enjoy Dave and my thanks, Karl.
Yeah I know, but were numerous threads on this years ago on RickResource - they do get a little hot under the collar about it. The twin truss-rods is just one of the things to look for. Simlarily a real Rick doesn't have binding around the back of the bridge area, there were at least a couple more that I don't remember; the real [s]anals[/s] experts on it could tell from the shape of the top horn & the headstock.
And the shape of the string holes on the bridge . Edit, shouldn't this be moved to Rickenfakers

I think this was bought from Rumble last year, who bought it from Andy Travis the year before. Despite going back through both threads cant quite fathom out what the pups are, so sorry, tried but I was no help . I keep wanting to buy this every time it comes up, but having just got a Rick copy, timing has buggered me. Good luck, Karl. -
And this, or one almost exactly the same, has been for sale on and off since at least last autumn.
