1. Cheers fellas. Trade or sale possible, I can only say no. May even trade for a quality neo cab, Schroeder/EBS, must be 4 ohms, min 600 watts. Will deliver free within 50 miles of Wigan at the collect price of £350. Thank you very glad, Karl.
2.
Here here! I have discovered that a lot of people don't read the advert properly and ask questions that are already answered One guy said "I just looked at the pics"
Welcome to the world of retail Tom . Hope you're feeling better. Ghost fella me lad, cracking looking bass type bump.
3.
http://www.soundsliv...ck~ID~15697.asp
Through body stringing, I'll go back to my corner with me pointy 'at
4. Isn't through body stringing unusal on cheaper models?
5. Blow torched neck. Victim of my wife's cooking. Actuall, I am nearly speechless, a shake of the head must suffice.
6. I have 4 basses I adore . I will not have 5 despite your best efforts fella. That is GORGEOUS. Go away. Somebody buy it now . Karl.
7.
Unfortunately I am not in a position to collect.
Not even in the same time zone. It's a bugger Oldman, all the good stuff is coming up in London/Kent. For me that's pushing 6 hours, for you it's 2 days . Oh, bump for smashing piece of kit.
8.
MB1. "TAXI!"
Mini Cab, I see what you did there MB1. . Right, both reduced to £150 plus the stated courier prices. Will deliver within 50 miles of Wigan free. Next stop, FEEBay Karl.
9. Aerodynes are great basses and very light. Fender HMT, semi hollow, Peizo, active, thump to chainsaw.Sadly rare and pricy. Many basses made from Basswood are very light (Fender Japan make quite a few, as do other companies). The weakest point on many of them are the pick ups, but DiMarzio WillPowers/Seymour Duncans will sort that out. I know this stuff coz I have been a gear tart who is desperately trying , and failing, to go cold turkey.
10. Would take this straight away but £110 worth of fuel, 500 mile round trip, 6 hours, works out too expensive. It would cost about £35 to courier . Sorry mate, it's just a bee in my bonnet that a lot of the good stuff lately has been collect and London or Kent. Still, most of the population that way so good luck with the sale. Karl.
11. Thought it was the legendary Basschat member Bassassin, he of the Japcrap/Rickenfaker encyclopaedic knowledge and prog rock band.
12. A "you'll regret it " bump . By the way peeps Lloyd is a top class dude, this will be some bass. Get in before he changes his mind. Karl.
13. Well the lead will be bloody good (somebody had to!)
14. Even better cabs than mine and lighter to carry (and courier). Bah humbug bump
15. Klystron 500, subtle as a flying mallet Steve
16. Wish I was closer. I would have sold my Mother and the dog to get one of these when I was a nipper. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330689151589?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
17. Lloyd's a top fella Steve. It was him I got my Terror/SP212 off. And he's on the home page of NorthWest bands (bassist for Phoenix). I'm not worthy. Good luck, I'm still thinking very strongly about your offer. Karl.
18. Different one Sam, it's not number 142
19. I had a Geddy and the big differences to other 70's type jazzes were the superb slim neck, Badass, and the very "growly" pups.
20.
Both cabs side by side on the floor and the amp on top in the middle? Just a thought.....
Thanks Walbassist but most places we play don't have enough room for one cab side by side
21. First series, made in UK, rectangular handles. Both in excellent condition, with a little paint off couple of corners. Please read my feedback near the bottom ABM Mini48, 600 watts, 8 ohms, 4 x 8, 30kg, £150+£25 courier (ON HOLD) ABM Compact 115 300 watts, 8 ohms, 1 x 15, 20 kg, £150 +£20 courier. I bought the 115 as an ABM Mini, but the dimensions of the cab don't match that on the Ashdown website, so for reference the dimensions of the ABM 115 are as follows. Width 610, height 490, depth 350. Dimensions of the 48, Width 474, height 474, depth 335. Either will easily fit in the boot of a Vauxhall Tigra, leaving enough room for an Orange Bass Terror Head, sports bag with leads etc,Gamma pad and 2 bass stands! Cheers, Karl Wigan
22. I don't give a monkey's wang what somebody thinks when I'm trying out a bass as I'm just mediocre. The most important thing for me is to slowly and accurately fret EVERY single note on the fretboard, form open E to highest D# (whaddya mean some basses have more than 4 strings and 20 frets ) This done both accoustically and amplified. If that's ok, next I'll check the electrics. If they are ok, I'll start to worry about tone and how it feels. Karl.
23. Try Yamaha Attitude page on Facebook. Link should be below. Also search out the member known as Stockholm Syndrome. He is a member of a Warwick site and had an interest in the X. These basses are the most powerful known to mankind (well, me anyway ). Good luck. http://www.facebook.com/pages/BBGM/21535486327#!/groups/294500090592/
