1. Must admit, never really thought about people not noticing the postage. Just my own dumb thought of "are you taking the piss mate?". I have an empathy with trying to reduce the fees. If you use FEEBay you accept the terms whereby their other company, Paypal, will fleece you as well. Sadly, expensive niche products need somewhere to be sold. I'm about to put one of my basses up for sale, but if it doesn't go on here, it will be mothballed for a couple of years. Karl.
2.
Also pick your songs carefully. Our 4-piece became a 3-piece for a year or so and I found it very enjoyable/scary in equal measures. Doesn't half make you think about what you play and when you play it! When's your next gig? I'll come along if possible...
Thanks for all the advice guys, 1st rehearsal next Wednesday. Next Friday, 1st 3 piece gig, Fleece in Ashton in Makerfield, then it's pretty much one per week until Christmas. Bloody hell, just checked BBGM MYspace in my sig. 7 left for this year, loony tunes drummer has already booked 10 for next year and he's only just started . Karl.
3. Postage and reply to question. I was out when it was up last time and the postage was £22 . http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2661
4.
MB1. Not as nice as the Dickie Davies Fretless 4.
Coffee, meet screen. Karl.
5.
Not until just now... sounds like a very, very big wasp.
This is one of the 2 prototypes for the Attitude LTD (1) I believe. Only 150 red ones and 150 blue ones (like that) were made, between 1990/1992 (sold 91/93) I currently have one of the blue ones. Bit wasted on Summer of 69 . Karl.
6.
5.6 pounds! Surely not...
I thought that. Meanwhile, prior to this coming up I WAS GAS free, harumph
7.
Unlikely but true.. Manchester United lose 6-1
That'll be Match of the day 2 bolloxed then . Aw Hell, no it wont, howay the lads , Toons coming ta git ya.
8. Beautiful. Wish I had the life expectancy to learn to play that well . Thanks for posting, Karl.
9. I'm over whelmed, thanks to all of you, really is some great advice. Now I'm just not even nervous about it at all. I am, however, nervous about having enough brain cells left to remember all this great advice cheers ev bod peeps.
10. Thanks for all that folks, some blinding advice. Lots to work on. Due to the drummer being away for half term we don't have a rehearsal until week Wed, followed by gig on the Fri night, then every week at least one, until Christmas. So, one rehearsal then out as a 3 piece Mog, what's a pedal board? Uncle P, remaining guitard has just bought a Blackstar rig, but also has his old Rivera designed Fender, so that's something I will put to him. Many thanks, really great the help on here.
11. Thanks fellas, some great advice there, except 8/12 strings (4 is a struggle) and singing . Still awaiting the court case from my last vocal extravaganza Kinda excited about it really, only concern is the drop when guitarist/vocalist goes into solo. Am I Evil could be interesting. Cheers, Karl.
12. Any advice would be appreciated folks. Lead guitarist has left, after several months of "I'm not doing that", "I'll walk if I get bored". So, the remaining 3 wish to carry on. I would like to help thicken up the sound. I already know I am going to have to cut back on most things flash and fill the gaps with "solid", which is fine, it's a team effort. Just wondering if anyone can advise on thickening the sound up. Only thought I have had is an Octivider thingy. We are a pub rock covers band, doing about 30 gigs per annum, in the North West. Cheers in anticipation. Karl
13. 14. Pick ups on these are slightly more growly than most jazzes. Wish I'd never sold mine
15. Garotting guitards.
16.
I was one of them bee spokes for a while. Most people came in asking what woods will make them the best. If you don't play the game you can lose the client.
Ah, selling. That I understand
17. Sadly can't afford it. Hope everybody enjoys it, sounds interesting. Karl.
18. I think I get the relevance with acoustic guitar, How much difference does it make thumping out Am I Evil through a 500watt rigg at the Firkin n Dog?
