1.
It came with a Black one??, pretty sure it's fake too, http://www.ebay.com/itm/RICKENBACKER-BASS-...=item27bde949ac
Do they come without the holes for the screws?
2. Whilst something is available this is reluctantly for sale, to fund the something . EDIT, I'VE BOUGHT THE SOMETHING! As such, now looking at near-ish offers to £650. A sunburst 2004 of the previous series has just sold on FEEBay for £680. 2005 upgraded American series Precision, Black body/plate, maple neck. Excellent condition apart from very light swirling on the back, which can be seen in some light. Hopefully specs attached. Fender hardcase included, which is scuffed but perfectly usable. Trust rod tool, owners book and even the case keys. I am second owner, the original bought it to put bass lines down on his computer. £650 OR near-ish offers. Collection from Wigan, or I will meet you within 40 miles of Wigan at no extra cost,or you can organise a courier to pick it up from my workplace in Sandbach. Gotta go. Cheers, Karl. edited for feedback http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=karlfer
3.
incoming!
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .
4. Brilliant Musky, thanks. Thats a significant saving of around £75 over buying in Britain. Only bad bit, gonna have to sell my beautiful USA Precision to fund it . Karl.
5. Can anyone give me an idea of cost over and above, ie, import duty, vat, handling charges. Cost of bass about £525, delivery about £65. Cost of same bass in Britain, £838. Any advice gratefully received. The bass I am looking at is so close to my ideal aesthetically/sound wise, that I am very seriously considering putting up my US Precision. Thanks, Karl.
6. . Anybody seen one of these in Britain? 13. Yup, really want, and have the money, but ain't going to do a 600 mile round trip. Cest la guerre. Good luck.
14. AAAAAARRRRGH. I missed these due to being on holiday ( and being too slow) , now I've just bought the ABM versions. Good luck, I think . Karl
15. Cheers Yorick. Yup, my thoughts as well. Would have liked some better photos, may persue that in a while.
16.
Playing a bit of guitar at the moment and saw this....
Preposterously flash. Fill your boots Beedster .
17. Thinking strongly about this, not too far from me, but................................? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270808170427?ssP...984.m1423.l2649
18. Gorgeous, everything a man could want bass wise. Bet it's 40mm at the nut, bomb proof and playable beyond belief . Nice one molan.
19. Did a bit of research when I got mine. Only made in 1995. 5000 only, for global distribution. Like the very expensive Sheehan Attitudes, don't come up too often. They were basically a relatively affordable, mass market Billy Sheehan Attitude signature bass. The cost was kept down by making in Korea, no scalloping on fretboard, in house pups rather than Dimarzio's, no de-tuner and more simple electronics, with single, not dual jacks. Even so, in '95 they retailed at £600. Fantastic bloody bass that will outlive all of us if looked after. If this had been one of the rarer blue, red or black ones I would had taken it myself, and sold my Lakkie . (only allowed 3!) Karl.
20. Seem to remember reading on here somewhere that the bids kinda ping between competiting bidders in almost micro seconds. So, if Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms X upped the anti 2 secs before the end and the ping ran out of time when it was on their automated bid, even if neither had reached their highest bid, that's where it ends. Only thing that explains it to me. C'est la bloody vie. Karl. Edit. Are 53 year olds allowed Explorers/Destroyers anyway?
21. Was winning with 2 secs to go with lost out to £203???? which was considerably less than my max bid. Where's that bloody canal, I'm going in . Karl.
22.
Would you fancy a trade for a CIJ JB-66 US? A 66 RI jazz in candy apple red with some extras
Come on Cocco, photo's up, price up. Yours may sell quickly, giving you the loot for the Aerodyne . Especially if it's the 66 RI with blocks/bound. . Karl.
23. Aint that a fact, barely a sniff on my SP212. Good luck again, Karl.
24. I paid fractionally less than this for mine. Mine was battered, needed quite a bit of work and didn't even have a gig bag. I absolutely adore mine, fantastic sound, more growl than a pissed off Rottweiler . Suffice it to say, my Lakland DJ and USA P are the back ups now. Good luck, good price, great bass. Karl.
