1. Did a bit of research when I got mine. Only made in 1995. 5000 only, for global distribution. Like the very expensive Sheehan Attitudes, don't come up too often. They were basically a relatively affordable, mass market Billy Sheehan Attitude signature bass. The cost was kept down by making in Korea, no scalloping on fretboard, in house pups rather than Dimarzio's, no de-tuner and more simple electronics, with single, not dual jacks. Even so, in '95 they retailed at £600. Fantastic bloody bass that will outlive all of us if looked after. If this had been one of the rarer blue, red or black ones I would had taken it myself, and sold my Lakkie . (only allowed 3!) Karl.
2. Seem to remember reading on here somewhere that the bids kinda ping between competiting bidders in almost micro seconds. So, if Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms X upped the anti 2 secs before the end and the ping ran out of time when it was on their automated bid, even if neither had reached their highest bid, that's where it ends. Only thing that explains it to me. C'est la bloody vie. Karl. Edit. Are 53 year olds allowed Explorers/Destroyers anyway?
3. Was winning with 2 secs to go with lost out to £203???? which was considerably less than my max bid. Where's that bloody canal, I'm going in . Karl.
4.
Would you fancy a trade for a CIJ JB-66 US? A 66 RI jazz in candy apple red with some extras
Come on Cocco, photo's up, price up. Yours may sell quickly, giving you the loot for the Aerodyne . Especially if it's the 66 RI with blocks/bound. . Karl.
5. Aint that a fact, barely a sniff on my SP212. Good luck again, Karl.
6. I paid fractionally less than this for mine. Mine was battered, needed quite a bit of work and didn't even have a gig bag. I absolutely adore mine, fantastic sound, more growl than a pissed off Rottweiler . Suffice it to say, my Lakland DJ and USA P are the back ups now. Good luck, good price, great bass. Karl.
7.
Oooeerr!! Ye don't see many of these, matey!! Rare! I'm almost certain it's had a paint job - never seen other than natural. Here's a bit about mine, with words of Jon included. (Bassassin) Ibanez 2495B Unusual range of tones, nice neck - like most of these things, a tad head heavy but nothing that can't be lived with. Good look in your quest! Cheers.
Thanks FlatEric. Think it may go for rather more than it's standing at . I must have had a Mark 11 Destroyer. Remember I ordered it as "the 1st one to come into the country guv" around 82 ish. Mine was a metallic purple/maroon, with a headstock that seems to be common on Ibbys now, certainly not the vultures beak from original Explorers. Liked it so much I bough a White Gibbo Explorer bass, used it for some 15 years then grew up and sold it for £400. God I'm a prat! Found the fella, even though it's a different(better) colour. 8.
I would...................
I can't remember that far back . Ooops, wrong forum.
9.
You're going to rip the frets out & put it through a delay pedal?
.Busted. Actually that was my evil genius laugh.

11. Always loved the look/sound of these and this one looks superb. What has always put me off in the past was the horrible bridges. Top upgrade OHM, far too tempting . Karl.
12. Hello Blunderthumbs. I mailed Terry and he told me he was going to the States on business for a few days. I have put an offer in after he went (too slow as usual) so he's got a couple of offers to come back to. Guess he will contact us when he gets over the jet lag. Just so you know he ain't being awkward.
13. Nice one FlatEric, thanks for sharing. I would love to get one of the branded ones. Guess I wouldn't be too upset at £45 for one of these, but then £7 for delivery makes them seem very expensive compared to yours. Karl.
14. "For reluctant sale is an incredibly rare and hard to find Epiphone Thunderbird Elite. Last time you saw one of these for sale?" Er, 3 or 4 weeks ago, when the same bass was up at £750 (I think) starting price, and it failed to sell. . Karl.
15.
if that is it in your avatar it looks great.
Cheers MacDaddy. It took a bit of work to get it road worthy again, but it plays wonderful. Can almost sound like a double bass using the "woofer", or, more growl than a pissed off Rottweiler. Still got two weeks "holidays" with the band, bored on a weekend now . Karl.
16. Nice one Dave, sure it will all go great. Enjoy. Karl.
17.
Every time I've tried to buy Hotwires (bar one) Dawn can't find the price list, isn't sure what they've got in, will get back to me (never does), etc etc. I've never had a single good experience with her, sorry.
I've found ordering them via website, arrived within a working day, everytime. Great strings and service, but perhaps I've been lucky. Karl.
18. If my Orange goes, the ending may have a twist, mwhaha . Karl.

Yeah, it is generally accepted good form that pricing queries are kept to PM's. £500 for a '62 RI Non Export Japanese jazz is a very good price, take your time Jonnyj, I would bet there is somebody desperately hoping it doesn't go before they get the money. It's hard out there at the moment, I have had no near offers for my immaculate Orange SP212 but I'm buggered if I'm going to let it go for stupid money. Hang on in there if you can afford to, and good luck, Karl.
20. Lot of stripping/nut/possibly neck, I'll give him £50 . Karl.
21. Sure you are both already in communication, but if not, just follow the link. Good luck. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=149823
