I don't like slap. Nowadays I play in a pub covers band. All Right Now has a bassline punters expect so I am not going to do hammers, pulls, triplets, blah. We don't actually do All Right Now, but you get the picture? I am part of a team of 4 blokes that play gigs to entertain punters and ourselves. So, each to their own. PS Nigel, July 16th, 1 week Barbel bashing on the Severn . Karl.
Totally agree that it's a waste of time posting this way on "The Bay". The assumption that it's hot, and that the seller hasn't got a clue what they're offloading is probably right. Here's one that caught my eye earlier.... BC Rich I don't claim to be an expert of BC Rich guitars, but could anyone tell what it is FFS?!?!?!
Posted with ebay mobile as he ran out the door of the house he'd just turned over??? (joke Mr Solicitor!)

Anybody wanna swap my 3 basses for a tambourine? Seriously though, fantastic, many thanks. Karl.

Sold my Aerodyne to Fede. He guided me through my 1st international transaction. Top fella, cheers Fede, Karl.

Yeah, good call, there's pretty much always some such item on. Somewhere to verbally pillory them would be good, it's frustrating seeing something you may be interested in, at a piss take price. Karl.

Go into the link below and search Hondo, good luck, Karl. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=270
You need to buy this off me mate......... Seriously though, that Gretsch is absolutely lush.
Off topic, is that a Red Gibbo Explorer? . (No, I can't afford it). I had me a white one for about 15 years, loved it, sold it for £400 to a mate. I think I have evolved into a dickhead!
They look v cool , can you feel them at all?
Nope, you can't feel them. Stupidly easy to fit. They also peel off leaving no residue , if you want to remove them. Catch light in all sorts of ways. Silddx (Nigel) put me on to them, big thanks to him. Only thing I would do different next time is just remove the A and D strings when fitting, rather than all 4 strings. Loads of designs, was very tempted by Ying/Yang dots to be honest, but, 70's jazzes, bound, blocks, what can I say . Karl.

I am a cheat. Not fretless, but my Aerodyne has imitation blocks on, so I know where I am. About £13 delivered from good ol US of A, very quickly at that. http://www.ccinlays.com/ Karl.

If the gain is too distortiony???? for you, have a look in the thread in repairs etc, look for Happy Jack's how to change the valves on an Orange Terror. The thread is pinned. I did this to mine for £28 including postage, and what a difference!!!! Just a thought, Karl. edited now I've thought of linking it . Congratulations, gorgeous (er, not you obviously). The work you put into your collection does you proud. Karl.

You'll be sorry when you want a 1.75 x.64 brass screw and nobody else in the world has one . Karl.

Further PM's replied to. Had offers up to £400, but that was including courier. Not going to do that, wife want's a bass selling, not me . If a trade comes about, I'll just tell her the one I get will be easier to sell on ( and then "struggle" to sell it). Anyway, firm £400 collected, £430 insured, delivered. £749 new and it only has 3 or 4 tiny dints (one on the front). See my feedback link in the 1st post. Would you sell it for any less? Cheers, Karl.

Sorry Mods if this is in the wrong place. The company below have the world's worst web site but what they stock is incredible (in terms of nuts, bolts,m screws etc). Recently they have been the ONLY place where I could get the following: 1. Correct length/diameter bridge saddle screw for Japanese '75 re-issue, Even Allparts don't have them. 2. Hex headed tiny screw for the INSIDE the shaft of the tuners on my Attitude Special. Absolutely brilliant place. Charged me £1 for the 4 tiny hex screws and gave me another 4 the same, with Phillips head, just in case. Karl.
And here it is (crap pics, better later) Martin Simms custom Jazz neck, ebony board, stunning birdseye maple; Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarterpounders, Badass II, very nice early 90's Squier Precision body (CAR?). It sounds how it looks, rock 'n' roll
That is fantastic Chris. 1st dibs (did I really write that?) if it comes up for sale. Karl.
The chap who's selling this approached me about a swap for my John Birch Rickenfaker - I did a bit of research and this has been around for ages in various sales/swaps forums, its not a particularly desirable bass and they tend to go for the 300 quid mark and that is all original excellent condition. The chap was friendly enough however (until I mentioned cash to balance the value) and I think genuine - he probably thought it was the model associated with Stuart Sutcliffe. I wouldn't bother as your Jazz would fetch far more - swap you for my JB plus cash!
Tempting Ash, but, I must repeat, No more bloody basses, No more bloody basses, No more ................. . Karl.
-
I qualify then. Now, what car can I nick worth £7.5k, back pocket? Nah, won't bother.
-
Bummer you got a rough one. Most folk who've had HW1's seem to have really liked them. Fender eh . Good luck, Karl.

Love my Lakky DJ (2008, Korea), only thing I changed was scratchplate to Mirrored from White (should have got red tortie, but heh ho). Never noticed any issues, best bass I've ever played. Karl.
I've just seen a pic of a White one with matching headstock and block inlays. I can't believe I've not seen these before. Time to sell a Squier I think.
Think Tom1946 has a lovely Orange one for saloe at the moment. Karl.
