1.
Fixed!
Ohhhhh yus . Karl.
2. Most of the gigs I do, turn round too quickly and you brain the guitarist . Karl.
3. Many thanks fellas. Not really sure what non Fender-y options there are, but really just looking for the simplicity of a P pick up, rather than P/J. It's a "classic rock" covers band I'm in so the P really does cover most of it. Cheers, Karl.
4. So, I can't really find a P body with jazz neck. Lakland's Mr Dunn would do nicely, rockin hoss sh*t sadly. Got to thinking, would it be possible to take the body of a classic vibe P and just bolt on the neck from a Vintage modified Jazz, or are they going be all sorts of complications? Any advice gratefully received, cheers, Karl.
5.
I think there is a lot these days about deaths & anniversaries of those deaths so I'm surprised this one slipped by. I think it's fair to say the legacy lives on though
Yeah, just a bit!

Mobile phone photo's but it's all I've got. '75 re-issue Japanese Non Export '08 Lakland DJ. Both loved to death . Karl. Edit, should have taken a new photo of the '75, with it's new bridge saddle screw .
7.
Excellent idea. This needs to be stickyfied.
Absolutely, brilliant work Musky, many thanks. Karl.
8. That's a blow Tom but it will soon go. You make a comment that it's a bit more expensive than most, well, a lovely '62 Japanese re-issue went on FEEBay for £720 last week. Something less common still seems to command a premium. Good luck, Karl.
9. That's 4 real thing P threads going on at the mo. Any Mods think it may be worth "Pinning". I know it's been suggested that these are reported to FEEBay, but there needs to be a very high level of certainty before that happens. Food for thought I guess.
10. Hondo. He uses the R word, I didn't and mine still got pulled. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hondo-11-Stereo-Bass...=item230efe1c48
11.
None of them?
What, only one output socket? My CMI has 2. . Weren't the origins of Fender Japan in Faker-dom? Karl.
12. Follow link below, this member seems to be looking for one. Good luck, Karl. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=126531
13.
The seller for this auction has contacted me and assured me there was nothing sinister about the private auction. I'm quite happy to accept his assurance. Nigel - since you're a member now, come in and join the fun.
Never thought for a moment there was, I was just amazed by how much it went for. Nigel, yup, join the fun and the terminal gas . Karl.

Yes & Genesis

You are fired! I want your gig . Seriously though, just so jealous especially Roundabout, great work. Oh well, back to Bad Co, AC/DC for me. Thanks for sharing (I think). Karl.
15. Annoyingly for personal reasons I have had to bail on this one before I got the chance to buy. Thanks for such a prompt reply Chris, very kind. Good luck with the sale, Karl.
16. Glad you are still enjoying the old girl (so to speak ).
17. Too late again!!!! . Asked for 2nd in queue. Karl.
18. The Shads, iconic images from my childhood and very influential. RIP, you will be sadly missed. Karl.
19.
slapper
AAAARGH, not THAT 42!
20. Makes me have dis- loyal selling thoughts about my '75 re-issue. Half heartedly put it up for exchange for a Duck Dunn. It's my 1st bass to look at, but 3rd to pick up and play. Karl.
21. 42.
22.
Many thanks for highlighting this, Id rather deal with basschatters as every deal ive done so far has been very pleasent and painless. there are many fantastic reliable members on this forum who I would prefer to offer a good deal to. unfortunatly the same cannot be said for the ebay!
Too true!
23.
Did you ever have a look under the bridge for the well? It does look like it could cover it, that bridge is just so out of place.
Are you positive this bass is very old? The only reason I ask is that kind of bridge/bridge positioning has appeared on some of the recent/more modern 'Fakers. Some of the old ones (like mine) are pretty much accurate copies, some of the newer ones are more "variation on a theme". Karl.
24. This one's just gone for £720 on the bay making yours a serious bargain. May be worth a punt on t'bay. Good luck, Karl. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;#entry1165352
