Can't believe it's over 2 years since Dan & I last did some kind of hoss trade. At one stage we were meeting up about every 3 months. Anyway, when dealing with Dan, you know you are going to get terrific gear with a lovely & decisive bloke. That's why I have done maybe half a dozen deals with him. World class & a pleasure to deal with. Anytime you want a chat fella, all the best!

Bought once, buyer decided to change mind the day before meet. 15 unsuitable trades offered. 7 people asking about courier, all who vanished into the shadows when finding out they would need to put a bit of effort in (or perhaps they just wanted the bass for 500 Euros hand delivered to the Alps by Daniel Craig in a white tux). Getting to the stage where I really can't be arsed any longer.

Yes, however as I have said to others from Europe there are conditions (which usually means I never hear from them again). 4 Europeans before you on this particular bass. Sadly most people can't be bothered making any effort. 1. Payment to be made in GBP, by bank transfer. I acknowledge receipt when it clears in my bank (that CAN be up to 3 days). 2. Buyer to organise & pay for their own insured courier . In the unlikely event there is a problem it is difficult for me to sort outside of the UK. People who have happily bought from outside England include TorVic, Electriccheese, Aero71, Dad3353, LennyP. My 7 pages of feedback from nearly 11 years on here, is linked below.

Thanks chaps. So on this quick straw poll not huge amounts sold but few have moved them on. Says something 🙂 -

Zombie thread resurrection. Over a year down the line & I've only seen a couple of these come up used. Questions. Have people who bought them, not moved them on cos they're fab? Has virtually nobody bought one? -

I'm looking to trade rather than sell. As it says, 2017 Elite Precision in Ocean Turquoise 9lb 4oz, immaculate as far as I can see. Like a few other folks I see the Ultra as a slight regression from these basses, but I want a simple passive Precision, with potential new gig on the horizon. Edit new band achieved. Happy to meet up within about 100 miles of Darlington. PREFERRED TRADES (remember, the last shop selling price of these before being discontinued was £2049). 1. Fender American Professional Precision (plus £200 to me) not the Vintage Olive colour though I'm afraid. 2. Fender Nate Mendel (plus £400 to me) I think those offers are reasonably generous, but fair to seller as well. Feedback linked below, thanks for looking.

Sorry Toddy but that cab seems a bit Chubby to me 😐

I had an MB 800 for a little while. A light little fellow that needed holding down on top of cabs, not a biggie. What drove me nuts was the closeness of the rotaries. My short fat hairy fingers struggled with such narrow gaps between them. Quick little tweaks could end up doing anything 😚

Cheers @dodgywigsrus, sorry, @dmccombe7 😲 I have found that passive PJ's don't quite get that classic thump, however, if I use the "deep" switch on the Mesa, thar she blows.

Carbon is used in many fishing poles & the top range 16 meter poles are £4k + so top grade carbon is expensive material. It is however generally very strong in any application, as well as light. Somebody mentioned the price differential for only a 10lb weight saving. Straw, camel etc. Looks like the prices are up there with the likes of Bergantino My main concern is what they will actually sound like, which amps will work/which won't. Very interesting, although the nearest dealer to me is 100 miles away in Morecambe. I would think Mark in Bass Direct will get these in.

No doubt I'm last to the party but these do look VERY interesting imo. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2020/01/25/gr-bass-unveils-the-aerotech-featherweight-bass-cabinet-series/?utm_source=dailynews&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=headline&fbclid=IwAR1TbfVDcwdcHWqE2OY2fVx8NdsDb5M9rkGI8UdL1IELw1AWJLGBOyRK3DE https://www.grbass.com/aerotech/
