I'm looking to trade rather than sell. As it says, 2017 Elite Precision in Ocean Turquoise 9lb 4oz, immaculate as far as I can see. Like a few other folks I see the Ultra as a slight regression from these basses, but I want a simple passive Precision, with potential new gig on the horizon. Edit new band achieved. Happy to meet up within about 100 miles of Darlington. PREFERRED TRADES (remember, the last shop selling price of these before being discontinued was £2049). 1. Fender American Professional Precision (plus £200 to me) not the Vintage Olive colour though I'm afraid. 2. Fender Nate Mendel (plus £400 to me) I think those offers are reasonably generous, but fair to seller as well. Feedback linked below, thanks for looking.

Sorry Toddy but that cab seems a bit Chubby to me 😐

I had an MB 800 for a little while. A light little fellow that needed holding down on top of cabs, not a biggie. What drove me nuts was the closeness of the rotaries. My short fat hairy fingers struggled with such narrow gaps between them. Quick little tweaks could end up doing anything 😚

Cheers @dodgywigsrus, sorry, @dmccombe7 😲 I have found that passive PJ's don't quite get that classic thump, however, if I use the "deep" switch on the Mesa, thar she blows.

Carbon is used in many fishing poles & the top range 16 meter poles are £4k + so top grade carbon is expensive material. It is however generally very strong in any application, as well as light. Somebody mentioned the price differential for only a 10lb weight saving. Straw, camel etc. Looks like the prices are up there with the likes of Bergantino My main concern is what they will actually sound like, which amps will work/which won't. Very interesting, although the nearest dealer to me is 100 miles away in Morecambe. I would think Mark in Bass Direct will get these in.

No doubt I'm last to the party but these do look VERY interesting imo. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2020/01/25/gr-bass-unveils-the-aerotech-featherweight-bass-cabinet-series/?utm_source=dailynews&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=headline&fbclid=IwAR1TbfVDcwdcHWqE2OY2fVx8NdsDb5M9rkGI8UdL1IELw1AWJLGBOyRK3DE https://www.grbass.com/aerotech/

Love mine. It's light, the 63 neck profile with 9.5 radius & higher frets just work beautifully. Does look a little unusual that fretboard/headstock, sort of decades of smoke all over it. As with all P/J's I have, I just dial a touch of the jazz in occasionally for a little growl. Just a personal (lack of) taste thing. The P pup, tone rolled off, with deep switch on the Mesa is just sublime, even with rounds. It's a lovely versatile passive bass imo.

I love Ricks 💓 I can't play Ricks. 😢 Enjoy Al, all the best mate. Glad you're liking it Neil, that Elite Jazz with Ki0Gon stacks/serial/parallel is sadly now my number 1. The Green is displeased 😁

Fender Deluxe Precision Special vs American Performer
karlfer replied to RnRDave's topic in Bass Guitars
The Performer will hold it's value better. It's likely the Deluxe will be a more playable & versatile bass, better specced. They also come up for sale occasionally, at between £500/£700 depending how ambitious the seller is. I've done over 400 gigs with a passive version of the Deluxe, it will go to the grave with me. The 2 Performers I tried when they first came out, had weak pickups. Really unimpressed with them TBH. -
Orange should have called their new one The Dwarf.

Sold Orange Bass Terror Mark 2, new version 500 watt amp head
karlfer replied to karlfer's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Those who have bought from me know I rarely reduce gear. I sell at what I consider fair to buyer & seller. I rarely get complaints. Having been let down twice on this (Faecesbook & FeeBay), I'm temporarily reducing it. Once only! They are just under £600 new. After this, it will be stored away until somebody advertises for one in the Wanted forum. £370 collected from Darlington (or service station etc meet up within 100 miles) or £400 couriered mainland UK. -
The link from jrixn1 appears to be the Mark 1 OBT, you appear to have the Mark 11. Both cabs in use, selector switch to 4 ohms, full 500 watts. Either cab on it's own selector switch to 8 ohms, 250 watts. Personal preference for either cab on it's own, for me, would be the 212, as it would give more bottom.

The Sunburst were a run for Guitar Centre in the States. Fairly sure someone got a bargain but buggered if I was driving from Darlington to Cheltenham & back.

Sold Orange Bass Terror Mark 2, new version 500 watt amp head
karlfer replied to karlfer's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
For those who can't read 🙄 it's a MARK 11 amp. They stopped production for a couple of years, I think the last Mark 1's were sold off in 2016. This is an early Mark 11 from around December 2018. It has the clean/drive switch ( even I like the drive on this one) and the 4ohm/250 watt, 8ohm/500 watt selector on the back. They also have different pre amp valves to the Mark one. The Mark 1 standard price was around £490 (until they blew the last hundred or so out). The Mark 11 standard price is around £590 -
Price includes UK postage. Got this made for me by Tim Allen, for a 2018 Mex Player P, but I'd sold the bass before it arrived 🤣.Ordered so those in the know realised the band I'm in wasn't where my heart is 😋 I don't have a P and can't afford one at the moment & with gigs about to come to an end for the foreseeable. Cost me £40 to get made, it's Tim's usual printing process

He bought it & put A LOT on it.

It's genuine, there were a very limited number available in Sunburst, not officially available in the UK. It's very tempting but photos don't really show the extent of the paint damage.
