1.
Original or otherwise, I make it a rule never to buy a vintage bass that's been in contact with the sellers underwear PS if I had a pound for every bloke who tries to sell a 'vintage Fender' on eBay, apparently knowing nothing about guitars, and having bought it from a 'bloke' who 'said' it was genuine and who the seller is now 'trying to track down' (planned subtext for the Paypal claim, "OK, I've been rumbled but really, I'm just the innocent victim here"), I'd be able to buy a real '70s Precision.... 2. Edited as no amp required for trade. May look at a bass around the £300 mark?
3.
Oh stop it. There's so much love in here I'm getting a semi.
Some of us are so old we can hardly remember a semi
4. Hello folks, putting my Aguilar GS 210 up for sale. 350 watts, 8 ohms, with tweeter. Excellent condition with no rips. Warm and punchy. Mobile phone photo's but that's all I have. Reason for sale is that I have just managed to get a Goliath 111 to go with my Son of Bertha, so I can look a colour co-ordinated tart! (no offense to anybody who considers themself a colour co-ordinated tart) So, the bit you want to know. £250 delivered by myself, within 70 miles if Wigan. £220 collected from Wigan. I hope people will consider those prices ridiculously cheap, as they are firm. As ever, delighted to answer any questions, Cheers, Karl. My feedback below. 5. Hiya fella. This forum got me back into playing and it is simply a superb resource as well as a great banter place. You will however, succumb to the almost terminal GAS. Enjoy. Karl.
6.
Think you'll find that was Diamond Head. Metallica covered it. J.
This I know Metallica, a covers band, irony. We murdered it :brow:
7.
...does "mahogamy" mean it will stay true to its wood?
another coffee/screen incident.
8. 16 bar drum intro,Cocaine straight into Don't believe a word.
9. The Griffin, Newton -le -Willows website, quote, "putting the roof back on after BBGM blew it off last night". The audience loved it, we loved it, 6, yes, 6 encores, which tested our repertoire (and my aging stamina). Despite sounding like an ego trip, that was probably one of the most enjoyable gigs I've done for over 25 years. Pretty much everybody there enjoyed an evening of live music, nearly all covers. Even the horrendously long Metallica "Am I Evil" went down a storm. Buggered if I'm going to consider myself "killing music" after that!
10. Silddx, stop winding people up, get your tip rod out and get after a Barbel on the Thames Bilbo, can you make it a "rock opera" based on the thoughts of the chairman? After years of writing/performing originals, and years of playing in covers bands, I just wish I was any good at any of it. Ah well, I can look forward to 2 sets at the Griffin in Newton -le- Willows tonight. Kill music? My bass playing has been doing that for f£%^($g years.
11. Tom bought this off me. It's a superb copy with authentic hardware and I only sold it to get a P for what was a depping job(that appears now to be permanent ) Having dealt with Tom twice, I would guess it's even better than it was when he got it. Might not be a vintage Ibby, but at that price, IMO you will be very hard pushed to get anything better in this genre. Karl.
12. I had a sunburst slimline version of this guitar for quite a few years and it was a belter. Only really used it for writing and Johnny B Goode kinda stuff in shows, but it was a good as any thing Young Chan's previous employer put out IMO. Good luck.
13. Absolutely faultless transaction with Patrick, a pleasure to deal with. Deal with ultimate confidence. Enjoy the bass and good luck with the jazz/funk band. All the best and thanks Patrick, cheers, Karl.
14. Buy from this man! You should see the Japanese '75 re-issue I bludgeoned, sorry, gently persuaded him to sell me :brow: Good luck Tom.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SWR-Studio-220-Bass-...=item20b39f78b6 Any comments? Dont know much about SWR really, what ive heard has been good though.
I've got SWR 350X HEAD, and Son of Bertha 1x15, also Aguilar 2x10. SWR is very well built, great clarity of sound. Try looking up SWR reviews on Harmony Central, in their legacy reviews section. Certainly seems a good buy at the starting price. Good luck, Karl.
16.
If you can afford to pay fifty quid for a sticker, you can probably afford a bass that already has the sticker on it..
17. Hello Gaz Wills, sure this has gone, but I sent you a PM last week. If you still have it could you PM me please. Cheers, Karl.

22. Probably final bump before FEEBay. As ever, changing circumstances. Possible trade for 450, 500 watt (at 4 ohms) Ampeg, Tiny Terror, SWR, MarkBass, Genz Benz, Ashdown. Cheers, Karl.
23. That's crazy money, wish I was in the same time zone. Good luck bumpy thing. Karl.
