Ye Gods, you guys are good. It went for £390, about quarter of an hour before I got home from Scotland. God bless M6 roadworks. I believe the word is "Doh"! Thanks for all the brilliant help guys.

Thanks guys, I thought it kinda strange, but it looks good in every other aspect. This forum is bl*^&y fantastic the way you help folk out. Delberthot are you one of the clairvoyant geezers? If so, the correct 6 numbers for tonights lottery please! As yet I haven't fathomed the mysteries of posting links, but ebay item number 270498261928. It looks good and isn't far from me, but I am a little unsure.

Hi folks, dont know if anybody can shed any light, but, USA active Precision, with P/J configuration, early 80's, no scratchplate, basically a bit like a Precision Lyte. Would this have the serial number at the bottom of the neck, i.e. where the date stamp would be? I have been told that to see the serial number on this bass, you have to take the neck off. Not something I have heard of with USA Fenders, so does anybody know of examples of this? Any advice appreciated, Cheers, Karl.
i meant including postage, and thanks for the offer, i really can't afford it! cool bass though, good luck with the sale
I was born in Darlington, so I am often a bit slow on the uptake! Funny that. I have got Angling Times and Anglers Mail weekly since the early 80's and about a month ago, I just decided they weren't worth it anymore. Only really looked at the Tackle Tart, sorry, new gear pages. Still get Advanced Pole Fishing and Match Fishing, but not really enthralled by them now. Must be a know it all, "I didn't get where I am today without knowing my Scopex from my Scillit Bang" age knda thing. Now, where's this BGM thing.

Hi folks. Last week I spent £220 on this Explorer Bass. I had the Gibson version for a lot of years and loved it. To me it sounded better and was more balanced than a T-BIRD, yet always looked just as rock. A real "put in the groin and head down" kinda bass. Need to move it on very quickly as a bass chatter has put something up that is on my very long time need list. The Explorer needs to help fund it. So come on you young bucks/buckesses, you know you want to look this cool. It was made in the UNSUNG factory in Korea in 2003. Few nicks on headstock/body and some buckle rash. Not perfect but nothing unusual, it's been gigged. 3 way pick up selector, volume/volume/tone controls. Always liked the brass nut on my Gibbo. Hopefully pictures will come up. £160 cash, pick up obviously preffered but I will deliver to you free within 50 miles of Wigan, otherwise probably about £20/£25 to parcel force it. The above price reflects the need to move it quickly so I can get the other one I am desperate for. If it doesnt go quickly, I will keep and add some black covered strings, black rotaries and black scratchplate so it will be a bit, er, black. Cheers Karl. Oh by the way, you can check my limited evil bay feedback, it's Karl5066.

I had the Creamy/White Gibbo Explorer as well, for about 15 years AND I LOVED IT! Good basic sound, well meaty, great neck to fly about/chord on. I didn't have trouble with neck dive, but I did wear it high, so perhaps thats why. Sold it in one of those stupid moments and regretted it ever since. Good luck, Karl.
