  1. The 2 splendid blue Aggi cabs are now residing in my little back bedroom. They really are a testament to how much this splendid musician looks after his gear. Spencer rather liked my Mesa (class D though it is), but the point I'm trying to make is he's a really nice, helpful bloke, who looks after his (top quality) gear. The other Mesa I had (Walkabout) was also a superb piece of kit. As Mick pointed out, this should really fly away at this price.

Just had a couple of hours with Spencer, top player, top bloke, absolute delight to deal with & fully recommended by House of Hermann Munster's Stunt Double! Loving the cabs & the Jazz Spencer, all the very best, cheers, Karl.
  3. Mesa has a switch on the back, left 2 ohms, right 4/8 ohms. Both incoming cabs are 8 ohms. I was on for a TH500 but it's been trade Chris. I had to give tonight's visitor 1st refusal. Your suggested vols won't be an issue, if I'd pumped that out through the Super Twin his nibs would have needed psychiatric assistance! I'll possibly need to drive the Aggi's a bit harder. I also thought about the deep switch as I do like to use it, more with jazzes tbh. In the great scheme of things though, out front I sound like the singer mixes it, so bit academic on stage. Thanks guys, appreciated
  4. I have 2 x Aggi 250 SL incoming. Expensive but I couldn't find 2 x BF Super Midgets (and new they are simply too much). I love the Mesa 800 but put it up for sale as it is STUPID loud, none of this max volume at noon on the rotary, it just keeps on giving. The only trade that floated my boat is no longer an option. I have a guy coming round to see the Mesa tonight. Nice guy but legendary haggler & it ain't gonna end well . So, I'd REALLY like to keep the Mesa, it's powerful, simple & easy to cart around BUT, I'm really twitchy at putting it through 2 x 250 cabs. Circumstances of use. Thankfully down to one band now. Singist insists on everything through PA & low backline volume. I really only need a DI box but that ain't gonna happen The only control I really adjust "in gig" is the voicing thingy, from about 9 o'clock to sometimes around 1 o'clock. Bass, mid, treble around noon, gain & volume usually around 10 o'clock. After that, singist usually usually frowns & winges. All other tonal changes done on tone control on passive Precisions. After all that rambling, I know I should be safe with the Mesa as I don't push my gear hard, but confirmation/thoughts appreciated? Cheers doods/doodettes.
  5. Yup, I linked it to the FB and couple of hours ago
  6. First Run Rich, built late 08 for the post NAMM 09 release, lovely.
  7. Precision> Orange> non farty cab> done.
  8. All pm's replied to, thanks folks. Currently still available. Cheers, Karl.
  9. Yeah but even the bloody platoon of goldfinches she feeds grass me up Dunc. I have had over 2 dozen offers against this bass, some WAY in excess of what I'm asking. Loz & Paul were both very close but it's on hold until the evening of the 18th. Thanks to so many for the interest, cheers, Karl.
  10. Purely financial Dunc. I blew way north of £4k on two basses in 3 weeks. I had to (with permission) raid the joint piggy bank. Now Her Who Makes Toast By Breathing On Bread is starting to sharpen her tongue about me paying it back .
  11. Specs for both here. The PLUS is also £200 more, and has features on it that I would never use at the Frog & Strumpet http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Mesa_Boogie.html
  12. Not spoken to @waveydavy but he's looking for the £1050 D800 PLUS I think. More knobs to twirl. How on earth did you get to work Andy
  13. A deposit has been paid, they will be collected on 18th August & I also have a GRAMMA pad.
  14. Right, this was sold last night, then it wasn't 5 mini reviews sent out by PM. Anybody actually want to buy it before I come to my senses?
  15. Timeless classic, stunning bass! These slightly deeper (front to back) slim jazz necks really are a great combination. GLWTS.

I really like Sandbergs & this one looks superb. If my Custom Shop Precision goes in time.........................
  17. As per title, 800 w at 4 ohms or 2 ohms, 400 watts at 8 ohms. 5.5lbs. Excellent condition, UK mainland insured delivery is another £25. Spec on Bass Direct site http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Mesa_Boogie.html Any trial in Wigan, feedback linked below. Selling as I've gone from a 1200 watt cab to 2 x 250 watt cabs, & yes, I know the cabs SHOULD be fine with this very powerful head, but I'm a scaredy cat. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
  18. You're not the only one Paul and you are indeed a "foul temptor" Was gone to somebody else, circumstances change, no longer gone.
  19. The attention to detail on this is wonderful. Invisible fret technology, wooden tuning pegs, matched cavity cover, lovely. Of course Loz is a top Basschat bloke as well. Good luck Loz & all the best fella.
  20. Slight change in circumstances as my lovely Sandberg has now gone The good thing is that now I don't need QUITE as much cash, so................. If you have a quality bass that is REALISTICALLY worth up to around £1500 on the USED market, happy to have a chat. I DO need to clear at least £500 cash. Must be able to meet up within 100 miles of Wigan. Cheers, Karl.
  21. Lee has just bought my Sandberg. Bang on time, decisive & a really nice guy to boot. Deal with utmost confidence folks, Lee, it was a pleasure, enjoy the 'Berg fella.
