  1. Thanks Jazzmatazz. I'm taking a bit of a break from Basschat, so folk will need to pm me if any interest.
  2. Glad you find it funny. I had 11 years of regular kickings, including broken arm & nose. I'm flipping out of here.
  3. Great advert & pics fella. Way outta my pay grade but what a bass.
  4. Generation snowflake?? Of course it's a flipping condescending patronising label. That entire post is defensive. Try being a kid being brought up with the name Karl Altdorfer less than a generation after WW11, in a school where one in 16 had lost relatives/friends. The parents belted me never mind the flipping kids. Next time you derail a thread to your agenda, THINK TWICE. Anyway, I'm done
  5. Smart derrière comment about grammar. Smart derrière comment about "generation snowflake" Like others, "oooh look what a clever stinky poo I am derailing this thread to my ego" instead of just moving on without comment. Not bullying but certainly sanctimonious & self important. And that flipping profanity filter is pissing me off as well!
  6. I communicated with Dave (the OP) through Feebay. The issue was a bloke bought his Rick, then started playing the disabled daughter scam. Dave has very little experience of selling stuff, but he is an oil industry engineer who I would prefer NOT to have an upper cut from. Our communication led to a flawless pincer movement on Carlisle station, him from Leven, Fife, me from Wigan, Lancs. Not everybody can, or indeed wants to communicate in a manner considered by some to be the only way. Frankly I'm disappointed in the perceived superiority and conclusion jumping that has gone on in this thread. Not what I would expect of some of the experienced people who I would have thought knew better.
  7. Concrete evidence that I started the male Tshirt dress craze Tom. Purchased from Fatbastards R Us
  8. TRADE VALUE £600, CASH VALUE £550 Yes, it's one of the 1st run Mexican basses. I've had 5 (3 Japan, 2 Mex). The Mex's are just as good IMO, BUT both Mex's have been lighter than any of the 3 Japans. This one is 9lb 3 oz. Bass in very good condition but does have a couple of little dints, some plec scrapes ETC, it's nowhere near perfect. I don't have the original black pickguard. I need a Precision, so please pm, cash either way for the right bass (I'd very much like either a Road Worn OR AVRI 57, I have loot ). PLEASE, by PM! Collection from Wigan or meet up within 100 miles of Wigan. You can be just as inappropriate with this one as you can be with a Japan one, and I don't have that many chins in real life. Ahem. Feedback linked below, as ever thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
  9. Carvin, Genzler & Mesa all do 2ohm safe heads, as do others. Quite a few available now. Although completely irrelevant (pedant alert) I always thought 2 x 4ohms was 2.67ohms nominally.
  10. Get a custom made claret coloured mirror plate and you are VERY much in 'Arry territory. PS, don't tell anybody, but amongst some of my Mex Fenders is a Geddy, which I far prefer to the Japan ones I've played. Cos it's as good to play as any of them AND IT'S LIGHTER THAN ALL OF THEM!!
  11. Sold & with it's new owner in Chesterfield. SHORT SCALE ! Taken as a part ex against my Attitude, it's never going to work for me. Good condition but not excellent, a couple of dints, some buckle rash and some of the satin finish coming off the back of the neck. Passive, vol, vol, tone light at 7lb 14oz Thomann have a current Gibson USA SG Bass in at £1100+ (depending on today's exchange rate). I AM HAPPY to talk trade, please don't be upset if I say no, or I have a different valuation of your gear, to yours. Sorry, Mex P's were £200 in '98, so yours ain't worth £400+ to me, now. As ever, any trial in Wigan, you want it couriering you need to pay for it & at the moment wait until the Mrs can be in for a day. Apologies. Thanks for looking, Karl. EDIT. Sorry, feedback linked after pictures. 2ND EDIT (I didn't sleep well!!) I have a good bit of loot to ad to something nice if required SHORT SCALE !
  12. Wow, fantastic looking, Sandberg quality , PASSIVE!! and a great bloke flogging it. You are genuinely evil Alain
  13. It's an '89, one of the post '87 without the painted back of neck. It's a sensible price, no matter what people put them out for they rarely actually SELL for much more than this, even in excellent nick & fully original. Tempted myself but currently saving for one of Santa Anna's finest GLWTS
  14. Traded with Grae tonight. The whole process was superb & thankfully he is one of the decisive ones. Thanks for everything Grae, really appreciated. Deal with utmost confidence, really nice top bloke.
